Non... aucun vaccin n'est nécessaire ni exigé pour l’ensemble du territoire argentin.
Prévoyez seulement un répulsif contre les moustiques... de toute façon ils vendent des lotions contre ces bestioles un peu partout (la plus connue est la marque Off ici). Sinon... aucun soucis à se faire côté médicament et vaccins.

Elle est intéressante, car on voit que les moustiques porteurs de la fièvre jaune ne passent pas la frontière du Paraguay ni celle de la Bolivie, sans doute grâce aux contrôles renforcés des très efficaces services de sécurité argentins.
Pour info, je ne suis ni vacciné ni inquiet car il n'y a pas de fièvre jaune dans toute une partie du Paraguay.
Les risques réels se situent au-dessus d’une ligne horizontale qui passerait juste au-dessus du P de Paraguay sur la carte.

Sympa ton message privé auquel je réponds en public, car il n'y a rien de secret...
Tu sais, le gros avantage que les résidents et les gros baroudeurs ont sur les autres, c'est la pratique des lieux et le temps passé sur place qui leur permet de ne pas s'enliser dans la peur de l’inconnu. C’est une peur légitime que nous avons tous « la première fois ». Et dans n’importe quel domaine d’ailleurs (saut à l’élastique, en parachute, ski nautique, prendre la parole en public, etc.). Après on nage dedans parce qu’on est en terrain connu.
Cela dit, avec le temps on a tendance à baisser la garde, bêtement, et à minimiser les risques.
Par exemple lorsque je suis arrivé au Paraguay avec ma famille, j’étais très inquiet que quelqu’un se fasse mordre par un serpent. Il faut dire que dans ces pays il y a de sacrés bestiaux. La première fois que j’en ai vu un chez moi (crotale, 1,80m, le corps comme mon avant-bras) j’ai foncé à la pharmacie et j’ai acheté un sérum pour -je pensais - protéger ma famille. Puis j’en ai tué un autre, et puis un autre, et puis encore un autre, si bien que depuis 5 ans le sérum s’est périmé et je viens de m’apercevoir que je ne l’ai jamais renouvelé. C’est ça « baisser la garde » et c’est stupide !
C’est pour cela que, maintenant et pour tout, j’essaye de relativiser tout en restant un poil vigilant. Pour la fièvre jaune et les autres maladies tropicales, nous savons qu’elles existent, mais personne de mon entourage n’a jusqu’à présent rencontré le moindre problème (même pas été malade) donc il faut relativiser d'autant que ce n'est pas quelque cose de présent dans la tête du Paraguayen. D’un autre côté c’est le boulot de l’état (conseils aux voyageurs) de mettre en garde en affolant les foules. Après c’est à chacun d’apprécier. Si tu vas y vivre, c’est bien de faire le vaccin fièvre jaune, si tu y passes une semaine ou 15 jours, franchement ce n’en vaut pas la peine.

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

I have several chronic conditions (including asthma and related ones), and I’m planning to travel for a year across different countries.
Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...
