je veux voyager en Inde et je veux savoir les détails pour une demande d'un visa touristique,
je viens d'appeler la dame au consulat elle a dit :
- copie de CIN
- 2 photos,
- attestation de travail,
- 2 derniers relevés bancaire,
- copie de la réservation du billet d'avion,
- 480,00 DH
elle n'a rien dit à propos du formulaire que je dois remplir et les photos j'ai lu dans
le site qu'elles doivent être : 2 inch x 2 inch.
je veux juste savoir plus de détails car je veux déposer un dossier complet, si quelqu'un
peut me conseiller sera mieux, mille merci d'avance.
Ce que tu as lu sur le site concerne des gens qui ont fait leur demande de visa depuis la France, auprès d'un organisme (VFS) auquel l'ambassade de l'Inde sous traite la procédure.
Si tu effectues ta demande auprès d'un consulat, au Maroc, les pièces à fournir peuvent ne pas être les mêmes...
Tu dis qu'une personne du consulat t'a fourni les renseignements. Pourquoi les mettre en doute ?
Citoyen suisse ayant remplis sa demande de visa en Suisse, j'ai du remplir un long formulaire online. Très complet, presque intrusif. Et joindre au document une version numérique de mes photos d'identité (papier). (Que j'ai produit en photographiant lesdites en numérique, haute résolution.) J'ai ensuite du imprimer le formulaire, le signer et expédier le tout, avec enveloppe pour la réponse, (et tous les autres documents) à l'adresse indiquée. L'ambassade conserve la version online.
La première fois, c'est compliqué.

Tu as un formulaire sous format pdf à télécharger. ;) Il suffit de le convertir en .doc si tu souhaites le remplir sur MS word /open office sinon tu l'imprimes et tu le remplis manuellement en lettres capitales.
Pour les photos, c'est une perte de temps et d'argent, des photos normales sont suffisantes.... j'ai fait celles 2"X2" mais on m'a dit que... le format n'est pas vraiment important! 🤪
Ah oui, n'oublie surtout pas d'imprimer des confirmations des réservations d'hôtels, utilise des sites comme booking/agoda/expedia/hostels, etc. , mails imprimés des réponses des hôteliers (si tu les contactes directement)! Ils ne le disent pas mais une fois sur place, ils vont te les demander! La plupart des réservations sont modifiables et annulables donc pas de souci, tu auras le temps d'affiner éventuellement ton circuit.
Si tu pars avec une agence de voyage, demande-leur comment leurs clients procèdent et si tu as besoin d'un écrit avec les informations sur le voyage organisé.
Ils n'ont rien précisé mais tu dois avoir assez pour couvrir les charges de ce voyage, prévois par exemple un budget de 250 dhs par jour, c'est très raisonnable et garde un petit budget cadeaux et/ou urgences. ... N'oublie pas qu'ils demandent les relevés bancaires des deux derniers mois! ;)
Pense à acheter une assurance voyage ainsi, s'ils objectent au consulat en te disant que tu nas rien de prévu en cas d'urgence, tu peux toujours leur donner une copie de ton attestation d'assurance qui te permettra d'être dépannée en cas de maladie ou d'agression Allah yester.

Avant de souscrire une assurance, si vous avez une carte bleue, que vous payez votre billet avec ou pas, vous êtes assurée systémiquement. Inde, c'est vaste. Vous allez dans quel coin? Nord ou sud?

car c'est un ami qui nous invite d'y aller là bas pour assister à son mariage), après Goa,
ensuite on doit aller à Delhi et Agra (Tah Mahal),
J'en suis sur que j'irai visiter ces villes je dois voir avec les amis
s'ils vont ajouter des autres villes, mon séjour c'est 10 jours.

As-tu prévu de prendre l'avion une fois sur place ? Parce qu'entre Mumbai et Goa il faut déjà compter 13h en train, mais surtout pour relier Goa à Delhi c'est plus d'une journée entière. Au final tu ne passeras même pas 2 jours dans chaque ville...

En fait, si toute la paperasse est réglo (attestation de travail + relevé bancaire des deux derniers mois "corrects"+ confirmations de réservations d’hôtels), tu peux même acheter dès maintenant ton ticket et laisser le visa pour après, tu n'es pas pressé, pas la peine de payer plus pour le visa d'une année...

mon itinéraire : entre Mumbai - l'autre ville on a le chauffeur, Mumbai - Goa train (13h 1h en avion), Goa - Delhi avion(3h et 28h par train), Delhi - Agra train (3h), Agra - Mumbai avion.
Expérience faite, il est plus facile de voyager en avion qu'en train en Inde. Le billet d'avion s'achète online en quelques minutes, longtemps à l'avance, alors que pour le billet de train... 🤪 Quant à voir le pays depuis depuis le train, encore faut-il voyager de jour, et que les vitres soient propres... Pour les vols régionaux, l'avion ne s'élève pas particulièrement, donc on découvre aussi le paysage de là-haut.
Attention aux contrôles de sécurité dans les aéroports: nombreux et sévères.

je sais que t'es très occupée pour préparer ton voyage, je veux juste savoir est ce que t'as fais des vaccins ou c'est pas la peine ? j'ai lu sur le forum que des gens ont déjà fais et je connais des gens qui ont partis là bas sans faire des vaccins,
je ne pense pas que ce soit vraiment une question de "temps" mais de logique... Enchaîner 4 ou 5 vols (pas compris si entre Mumbai et Goa tu prends l'avion ou non) en 10 jours en comptant les vols internationaux, ça me semble un peu irréaliste.
Concrêtement, comment distribues-tu tes 10 jours ? Est-ce que c'est 10 jours tout inclus ou bien 12 jours avec les jours d'arrivée et de départ ?
Au niveau des vaccins, il n'y a rien d'obligatoire mais le mieux reste de consulter un médecin qui te conseillera. Le mien m'en avait recommandé deux dont l'un (pour la typhoïde) n'était plus disponible donc je suis partie sans. Je ne pense pas que pour 10 jours il soit vraiment nécessaire de faire toute une batterie de vaccins mais par contre vérifie au moins que tes vaccins de base soient à jour.

Non... je n'ai pas fait de vaccin... il fait plutôt froid en Inde en Janvier... il n'y a pas grand chose à craindre, il suffit de respecter les conditions d'hygiène de base. 😊
Ouwww... et moi qui croyais que mon circuit était chargé! C'est une course contre la montre.... et puis parcourir autant de kilomètres... tu peux même prendre l'avion mais il te faut du temps pour l'enregistrement à l'aéroport. Bref, tu vas passer une bonne partie de ton voyage dans l'aéroport.
Essaie au moins d'avoir 2 ou 3 semaines sinon il vaut mieux éviter d'aller jusqu'à Delhi et Agra... concentre-toi sur la région autour de Mumbai et Goa.

Il me semble qu'il n 'y a pas de vaccins obligatoires pour l'Inde. Ceci dit, il est très recommandé d'être vacciné contre la série de maladies habituelle (diphtérie, tétanos, polio, coqueluche, hépatite A et B, fièvre typhoïde). Et sur place les principaux dangers sont représentés par l'eau et les moustiques. Le paludisme sévit un peu partout en Inde, mais les moustiques sont peu présent en ville (mais un peu quand même... vu l'état de la voirie...). Donc un bon répulsif, le soir, pour la peau et les vêtements. Quant à l'eau, vu l'état des canalisations d'égout et d'eau potable... Toujours boire de l'eau purifiée, au moindre doute y mettre un micropure ou faire bouillir. Ne pas faire confiance. Faire les choses soi-même. C'est le meilleur conseil pour passer des vacances tranquilles et agréables. L'eau est le danger principal: une faiblesse, un oubli, et on passe son séjour à chercher les WC... (au Taj, au Fort Rouge, à l'aéroport, partout... 😕 ) Et ensuite le médecin... On peu prendre sa propre eau au resto. On trouve de l'eau purifiée en bouteille un peu partout dans la rue à 40 roupies les deux litres. Les Indiens en consomment beaucoup. Une étude de 2009 a montré que les eaux purifiées et les sodas (tous) contenaient encore des bactérie fécales. Mais beaucoup, beaucoup, beaucoup moins que l'eau du robinet...😏
Si tu trouves moins cher, ce sera parfait sinon je te conseille VIVEMENT de ne pas prendre un ticket avec arrivée/départ de la même ville indienne, quitte à payer plus. Essaie également d'ajouter ne serait-ce que deux jours à ton voyage pour ton confort.
Tu as opté pour ces villes malgré la distance, soit, je te comprends parfaitement mais ne fais pas de ce beau voyage un calvaire pour toi, bezzaf a khiti, c'est trop de parcourir un long chemin en retour à moins que tu prennes un vol interne genre Gelhi => Mumbai.
Bon courage, profite de ces 10 jours et amuse-toi bien pendant le mariage! 😇

L'eau est LE gros problème de l'Inde. Ils sont trop nombreux, ils ne parviennent pas à rénover leurs tuyauteries d'égout et d'eau potable, ils ont trop de paysans qui utilisent trop de fertilisants et de pesticides. Ils ont de belles stations de traitement des eaux mais pas les tubes pour y amener les eaux usées... Les fleuves (même sacré...) sont des dépotoires avec un taux de bactéries variées impressionnant. Les nappes phréatiques sont contaminées. On peut demander beaucoup aux filtres modernes, mais il y des limites à tout. Donc, l'eau (et ses dérivés) est LE problème qui te gâchera tes vacances. Donc micropure (ou bouilloire) et c'est bon. Mieux vaut dépenser ses sous chez les joailliers indiens que chez le docteur de retour à la maison. 😉 (Le CICR rapatrie régulièrement de ses membres, des pros, qui ont baissé la garde pendant leur séjour en Inde...).
Fatima Zahra, est-ce possible de nous préciser comment vous avez procedé pour la résérvation vu qu'on a besoin d'une carte de crédit internationale. Je pars en Janvier aussi.
Oui, il te faut une carte internationale mais tu peux avoir le même tarif promotionnel en réservant directement dans une agence Qatar Airways à Rabat (elle est dans le grand boulevard du quartier Riad je crois, là où il y a un tas de franchises...). C'est ce qu'on m'a assuré au téléphone.
Sinon, il faudra réserver avec une agence de voyage et ils auront leur propre commission of course inclue dans le tarif qu'ils vous annonceront.
Ils fournissent pas suffisament d'info sur le site de l'ambassade en ce qui concerne le visa. Moi je suis encore étudiante, auriez-vous des informations à ce propos? (la paperesse pour le visa)
Je viens de voir ton message, si tu es étudiante un membre de ta famille (père, mère, frère ou sœur)
doit te faire :
un certificat de scolarité (pour prouver t'es étudiante)
une lettre de pris en charge
les relevés bancaire de cette personne
et une photocopie de sa carte nationale
+ les autres papiers cités dans la première page sauf l'attestation de travail
et pour être sur que tu auras le visa si tu connais quelqu'un en Inde tu lui demande de te faire
- une invitation et pris en charge (sponsor letter).

I’ll explain my situation.
Unfortunately, I lost my passport, and I only realized it two weeks before my departure for a humanitarian mission in Libya. I’m a nurse, and this mission really means a lot to me.
First, I applied for an emergency passport, but it was denied by the Val-d'Oise prefecture on the grounds that a planned humanitarian mission wasn’t considered an urgent reason.
So, I submitted a biometric passport application on July 20th. Since then, the tracking has been stuck, and the town hall can’t (or won’t) give me any clear information. Every time I call, I get a different story. The last update I received was that the passport had been produced since July 23rd with a status of "about to be shipped," but nothing since then.
I’ve managed to push my departure back to next Tuesday at the latest, but I’m starting to really panic.
Have any of you submitted an application around July 20th, especially in Val-d'Oise (95)? How long did you wait between the passport being produced and it being available at the town hall? Is it normal for this step to take this long?
This mission means so much to me. I had everything organized, and I’m also supposed to attend a friend’s wedding right after near the border.

The information I’ve found about whether an international permit is required is contradictory. Some sources say you need one, others say you don’t.
Could anyone let me know if an international driver’s permit is necessary to rent a car in Australia (Perth), or if a French license is enough for a 7-day rental?
I’m a bit embarrassed because I need to travel to Quebec from February 27th to March 13th. I’m a regular visitor to Canada—this will be my 10th trip since 1997, plus a year as a permanent resident (2000–2001) and a cross-country run from Vancouver to Halifax in 2011. So, I’m definitely not a terrorist!
But since our last trip in July 2015, they’ve introduced this eTA thing. Seems more like a way to make money than to actually secure Canada, if you ask me, but anyway, that’s not the point.
I applied for an eTA for myself, my wife, and our two kids. They all got approved within hours, but not me! I was asked to create a GC key and then an IRCC account, which I did. Normally, you get news within 72 hours, but since Monday, January 15th, nothing!
In the "message" section of the account, it says "explanation letter (required)" with a deadline of January 25th, but I can’t find any explanation anywhere—despite searching the Canadian government website and Google. No links, nothing!
I’ve emailed them but haven’t heard back yet. I’m thinking of calling the Canadian embassy in Paris tomorrow. Even though I’m not stressing yet, it’d be a bummer if everyone else got to go without me!
If anyone’s had this issue before or knows what this explanation letter is about, I’d love to hear more.

I’m heading to Seoul in September, and to do that I need to get a travel authorization that we apply for through K-ETA....... turns out I can (barely, I admit) fill out the form up to the address of our "stay location," but every address I’ve entered has been rejected by the system. I’ve tried my hotel, the Lotte Hotel (which is well-known in Seoul), the airport—basically, I’ve entered at least 20 addresses, all rejected....
So, to anyone who’s successfully gotten the authorization, could you tell me which address you used to get that "elusive" approval?...

I’m planning a trip from France to Alberta/British Columbia, and I’m unsure about which bank card to use for the security deposit with the rental company (I’m thinking of going with AVIS).
I contacted Avis Canada, and they told me a credit card is absolutely required. I asked my bank for a credit card (a *real* credit card), but they only offered me a deferred debit card.
My question: For a rental with Avis Canada, is a Gold International Mastercard deferred debit card usable for the security deposit needed to finalize the rental? Is the "CREDIT" label enough? (Some cards say "CREDIT" and others say "CARTE DE CREDIT"—seems minor, but it’s actually a big deal in how the card works.)
I’ve seen conflicting info everywhere I look... My bank says it’s *usually* okay (the deferred debit card), while Avis Canada insists it *must* be a credit card, not debit—even when I mention the deferred debit card.
I know the whole credit card concept is already confusing, and on top of that, some sites say a deferred debit card counts as a credit card, while others say it doesn’t.

I bought a one-way flight (Ryanair) and a return flight (EasyJet) to spend a week in Morocco in April.
My passport expires 3 weeks after the return date.
Some websites say the passport must be valid for 3 months at the time of entry.
However, it will still be valid both on entry and return, but its validity will only be 1 month at the time of entry (and 3 weeks on the return date, everything prepaid).
It's an individual family trip.
The consulate can't give me an answer—they're still looking into it (really!)
Last year, we stayed for 3 months in Thailand, north of Khao Lak, and were able to benefit from the 2-month visa exemption, renewable for one month by going to Takua Pa to validate a 1-month extension (1,900 baht).
This year, it’s a disaster for us—not only were we planning a 4-month stay, adding a visa run in between (which some say is quite risky), but the law is apparently changing in the coming months with the return of the 1-month exemption (plus the usual 1-month option). So, we looked into applying for a 6-month multiple-entry visa, allowing a maximum of 60 consecutive days in Thailand. However, I can’t find anywhere the minimum time required outside Thailand between two stays—do any of you have an idea?

As a French national, I need to obtain a short-stay visa that can be converted to a long-stay one. To do this, I have to send the required documents to the Madagascar embassy in Paris.
No issues with that procedure so far.
If I get this visa, once I arrive in Madagascar, I’ll need to provide the same documents to the Ministry of the Interior in Anosy. I’m trying to find an email address or website for the Ministry to check which documents I need to submit (I think they ask for additional ones).

I’d like to know if anyone has already applied for a private visa to Russia with an invitation from a Russian resident.
I traveled earlier this year with an e-visa, but since I want to stay longer, I’ll be visiting my friend who lives in eastern Russia.
For the visa application, does the invitation need to be on an official paper form issued by the Russian ministry? And most importantly, do I need to present the original for the application, or is there an electronic version that can be sent directly to the consulate in France?

I filled out the B2 form to apply for a visa, created an account on Atvis to pay the visa fees and schedule a meet-up, but every time I try to pay with my Boursobank Visa 1st card, they refuse the payment with a message telling me to check my details (address), even though everything is correct. Does anyone know why this is happening, or maybe they don’t accept Visa cards? Are you aware of this?

Is a cancelable or flexible reservation accepted?

Just a question that’s probably been asked before (though usually the other way around for my situation :))
My wife and I are heading to the US.
On her ticket, it only has her maiden name (e.g., Martine DUPOND).
On her passport, it’s written as Martine DUPOND épouse AVRY.
No issues for travel, I hope I did the right thing with the ticket?
Then for the ESTA, is just Martine DUPOND enough, or do I need to include the "épouse AVRY" part like on the passport?

I’m spending a few days in San Pedro de Atacama (Chile) and would like to cross the Argentine border to make a loop toward Salta and then return to Chile to drop off the rental car.
I’ve heard that crossing the border can be tricky!
Is it possible with a rental company’s authorization? Which company, and at what cost?

I saw on the French Embassy in Peru’s website and the Peruvian Consulate in Paris’s site that the rule is to have a passport valid for 6 months *after the arrival date* (not the return date).
I arrive in Peru on August 13, 2019 (for about twelve days), and my passport is valid until February 16, 2020.
That’s 6 months and 3 days after my arrival date in Peru. In my opinion, I’m good to go.
But could I still be denied entry if they say I don’t cover the return date or that I’m too close to the 6-month mark?
I read on the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs website that it’s possible to apply for a temporary driving permit in China, valid for 1 month.
I’m planning to rent a car (without a driver) to explore part of the country next August, so I was wondering:

How long do the formalities take on the spot?
Is it possible to handle these steps in advance, before arriving in China?

My departure is slowly approaching, and now that I’ve got my Russian visa sorted, I’m fine-tuning the rest of my trip to Tajikistan. Since the Tajik visa is no longer required for stays under 30 days (for French nationals), I’ll need to visit the Ministry of Interior (OVIR) to register within 10 days of entering the country. No big deal, though, since I had to go there anyway to apply for my GBAO permit. 😉 However, I’ve *seen* several reports from travelers (mostly motorized) mentioning that you need an entry permit for Kyrgyzstan, which has to be arranged in advance at the Kyrgyz Ministry (consulate?) in Dushanbe. Otherwise, you’re *stuck* at the Kyzyl-Art border (with no Wi-Fi, of course, to try and sort it out). The most recent report was from a year ago, so I’d love to know if this is still the case and if it’s indeed at the Kyrgyz Ministry (consulate?) where you need to go for this pre-authorization.
Does anyone have any recent info on this?
