Je souhaite faire un voyage en Nouvelle-Zélande dans 3semaines- 1mois pour une durée non déterminée dans le but de découvrir ce pays et perfectionner mon niveau d'anglais.
Ayant un budget limité, je voudrais travailler un travail la-bas au plus vite pour pouvoir louer un logement et me payer des excursions pour découvrir un maximum de choses!!
Je n'ai aucune ville de préférence, je suis disposé à accepter tous types de travail et j'ai un niveau d'anglais "acceptable".
Je vais faire les démarches pour obtenir un VVT dans les plus brefs délais, mais j'aimerais profiter de ce forum pour avoir des informations ou des bons plans pour trouver un emploi et un logement!
Est-ce qu'il vaut mieux aller la-bas et tout trouver sur place, ou vaut-il mieux tout bien préparer à l'avance?
Est-ce qu'il y a possibilités de vivre en colocations?

Je pars aussi en Nouvelle-zelande pendant six mois a partir de janvier, et des amis qui y sont en ce moment sont simplment arrivés en ayant reservé une auberge de jeunesse, et c'est la bas qu'ils ont rencontré des gens pour prendre une colocation.
C'est ce que je vais faire aussi, et je ne suis pas la seule. Beaucoup de personnes partant avec un VVT utilisent les auberges de jeunesse pour rencontrer des gens, qui peuvent eux aussi chercher une colloc!
Pour le travail, tu trouveras sur place, meme si ton anglais n'est pas super, les gens savent que tu apprendras sur le terrain.

Je n'ai aucune idée du salaire moyen. Ce que je peux te dire c'est qu'apparemment la haute saison commence bientôt et que donc il y a des possibilités de trouver du travail.

je suis moi meme en Nouvelle zelande depuis 1 mois et demi, et je travail depuis 3 semaines donc je vais pouvoir repondre un peu a vos questions..
Le salaire minimal ici c'est 13dollars de l'heure pour tout ce qui vendeuse, serveuse, barman, un peu plus si tu es commis de cuisine, ca doit tourner autour de 16, 17 dollars.
Pas beaucoups de boulot a Auckland et puis il faut dire que cest pas la ville la plus sympa, je te conseillerais Wellington, mon copain a trouver du boulot dans le batiment (il na aucune experience) en 2 jours payes 20 dollars de l'heure bref un bon plan..
On a du bouger dans l'ile du nord : blenheim, beaucoup de fruits picking ici et de travail dans les vignobles. Il faut etre attentif a quel vignoble choisir, certain exploite vraiment les travailleurs, alors demande autour de toi avant.. Dans mon ancien job je me faisais difficilement 60 dollars la journee pour un boulot tres dur, maintenant jai changer et jen suis a 60 dollars pour 2 heures!
La nouvelle zelande cest pas la meilleure destination pour se faire de l'argent (comparez a l'australie ou tu gagne TRES bien ta vie) mais la vie est moins chere ici, et vu que le pays est plus petit, si tu decide de faire un trip, un mois cest largement suffisant!

Concernant les petits boulots, j'ai beaucoup entendu parler des multiples restaurants tenus par des français en Nouvelle zelande donc je suppose (et j'espère) en trouver un sur place.
J'aimerais rester en contact avec vous pour qu'on puissen s'entraider si possible :)
Pour ma part je partirai à la mi-février. Mon visa est checké, les billets aussi. Je pars un peu à l'aventure, dans l'idée de découvrir ce pays, les gens qui y vivent et qui le visitent, réaliser un genre de rêve en partant au bout du monde.
Enfin bon, je réserverai une auberge de jeunesse à Auckland, lieu ou j'arriverai. Mais je compte ensuite me diriger vers l'île du sud car j'ai pu obtenir l'information qu'en période "chaude" il y a plus de travail (dans les champs et vergers notamment).
Tout ca pour dire que j'pense, comme l'a dit laeticia (il me semble) plus haut, il est possible de se créer un petit "réseau" et rencontrer pas mal de monde sur place pour obtenir des bons plans et autres astuces pour se faciliter la vie là bas.

P.S. : J'ai aussi lu qu'il était possible d'obtenir des chambres à louer pour 3 ou 4 dollars par jour auprès des employeurs (toujours dans les vergers...).
Le woofing est aussi un bon plan, on le trouve dans les fermes surtout et il permet de bosser environ 4h par jour en étant nourri et logé mais sans obtenir d'autres rétributions.
