Southeast Asia loop trip.

Je prévois un voyage d’environ trois mois au Vietnam à partir de septembre 2026. J’arriverai à Hanoï, où je compte rester environ deux à trois semaines afin de découvrir la ville sans courir, ainsi que plusieurs lieux des environs : patrimoine historique, musées, quartiers traditionnels, marchés et villages artisanaux.

Je souhaite ensuite poursuivre progressivement le voyage vers le centre et le sud du pays, selon les rencontres, la météo et les possibilités sur place. Je prévois notamment une autre étape assez longue à Hô Chi Minh-Ville, probablement deux à trois semaines, pour découvrir l’histoire moderne de la ville, Chợ Lớn, les marchés, la cuisine du Sud et faire quelques excursions, par exemple vers le delta du Mékong ou les espaces naturels accessibles depuis la ville. Le reste de l’itinéraire demeure volontairement flexible : je préfère pouvoir m’attarder dans un endroit intéressant plutôt que suivre un programme rigide.

Je m’intéresse particulièrement à la culture et à l’histoire, aux musées, aux marchés, à la cuisine locale, aux villages artisanaux et aux endroits un peu moins touristiques. J’aime aussi marcher dans une ville, observer la vie quotidienne, discuter autour d’un café ou partager occasionnellement une sortie en soirée. Je ne recherche cependant ni un voyage très sportif ni un séjour principalement centré sur la fête.

Je suis quelqu’un de calme, curieux et plutôt indépendant. Je peux être réservé au début, mais je suis sociable lorsque je me sens en confiance. Je m’intéresse notamment à l’informatique, à la création artistique et aux projets personnels, et j’apprécie les discussions tranquilles sur des sujets variés.

Je voyagerai avec un budget assez économique : auberges de jeunesse, transports locaux, cuisine de rue et petits restaurants, avec parfois une activité ou un hébergement un peu plus confortable. Chacun garderait naturellement son propre budget et son autonomie, tout en pouvant partager certains frais lorsque cela a du sens.

L’idée serait de commencer par se rencontrer à Hanoï pour une visite, un repas ou quelques jours ensemble, puis de voir simplement si nos rythmes et nos envies sont compatibles. Il n’est pas nécessaire de voyager ensemble pendant les trois mois : cela peut être une journée, quelques jours, plusieurs semaines ou davantage selon l’entente. J’aime partager des étapes et des activités, tout en gardant la possibilité de prendre du temps seul ou de faire certaines visites séparément.

Je suis ouvert aux rencontres, avec une préférence pour une compagne de voyage. Ma démarche est principalement amicale, sans attente particulière, tout en restant ouvert à une affinité qui se développerait naturellement.

Thirty-seven years ago, I crossed Lapland on skis in winter... Four years later, I returned by bike to the Lofoten Islands. Now, I’d like to go back to this stunning country by sea kayak—a sport I’ve been practicing for the past 10 years. If it’s possible to meet up with one or more people for this little trip this year, it’s pretty quick to organize. Otherwise, in 2026, I’d love to kayak around Norway as well. My plans: Trek from Songde to Phuktal Gompa (return by hitching on the new road to Padum) Trek from Lingshe to Kanji (hitch to Lingshe using the new Padum–Nimmu road) Trek from Leh to Hundar (Nubra Valley) via Lasermo La Trek from Korzok (Tso Moriri) to Kibber via Parang La, probably after September 10th (there are 3 buses a month on the 10th, 20th, and 30th between Leh and Korzok) I’m pretty used to long-distance treks with a heavy backpack (self-sufficiency is key 😄!) and reasonably fit for my age 😅 (the big 5-0!). For those who want to do this tour with kids, I suggest finding the same number of adults so you don’t have to pay for their participation—1 adult = 1 child.

Hello, I’m a 76-year-old "senior" who’s still active and full of energy. I ski, swim, hike, and keep traveling a lot, including to the other side of the world. My most recent trip: The Philippines (winter 2026). I’d love to gather a small group of friendly seniors to first plan some short trips in France together. If everything goes well, we could venture farther and for longer. What matters to me in a foreign country: a change of scenery, trying to understand the locals and their way of life, architectural heritage (cities in particular), and of course the beauty of natural sites. We’re currently three retirees (one man and a couple) looking for one or two people to join us on a road trip through Patagonia by car.

Starting from Concepción in Chile, we’ll head to San Carlos de Bariloche (a possible meet-up point) in Argentina to reach Cabo Vírgenes. Then we’ll return via Route 40, with detours on the Chilean side (Torres del Paine, Lake General Carrera, Coyhaique).

We’ll pass by the Perito Moreno Glacier, Laguna del Desierto, Perito Moreno Park at the foot of San Lorenzo, Jeinemeni Park, Los Alerces Park, and more. A few hikes are planned.

Dates: November 6 to December 15, from Concepción back to Concepción.

I’m planning to arrive in Seoul at the very beginning of September, cross the country, then take a boat to Japan at the end of September. My route isn’t set yet, but I won’t go any farther north than Osaka. I’ll be heading back at the end of October.

I’ll be camping or bivouacking, with some hikes here and there. I’ll be doing between 0 and 100 km a day—it all depends on the climbs, the people I meet, the landscapes, and the weather.

It’d be great to share part of the journey with other cyclists. Looking forward to hearing from you.
