Hi there, we're planning to spend a few days in Corfu and then a week in the surrounding area, and we were wondering if southern Albania is worth visiting. Could we explore it in a week from Corfu? Thanks

Thanks, Ms. Laure, for visiting the South! There’s so much to discover: the archaeological site of Butrint, the hometown of Ismail Kadare, breathtaking landscapes, must-see beaches, and especially the city of Sarandë...... I’ll let you discover the rest!

Hi there, A few years ago, we spent a week in southern Albania, starting from Corfu just like you. By renting a car in Saranda, we were able to visit Butrint, Gjirokastër, Berat, and drive along the coast to return to Saranda. Albanians are really friendly. A great discovery!

Hi there,

Southern Albania is stunning, with the archaeological site of Butrint, the Blue Eye, and the coast featuring Mateus Beach. If you have time, you can also visit the village of Berat and the Osum Gorges. We’ve posted some photos on our site here under Photo Gallery - Travel.
