titulaire d'une licence en sciences humaines je souhaite enseigner au Canada de preference en cycle collège mais également de decouvrir ce magnifique pays qui me fait tant rêver depuis tout petit. Actuellement assistant d'education pour l annee 2009/2010 et pour la derniere année en raison de la limitation du nombre d 'annee je souhaite rentre en contatc avec des personnes qui ont fait l'experience au canade ou encore qui y sont actuellement afin de me guider dan smes recherches car j'avoue que si j 'ai hâte de decouvrir ce pays ma seule crainte et de me trouver sans emploi

En fait, je ne voudrais pas te décourager, mais pour enseigner les sciences humaines ici, ça risque d'être un peu compliqué. Tout d'abord, il te faut un diplôme en enseignement canadien parce que le Canada ne reconnaît pas ceux d'ailleurs. Si tu as ta licence, tu pourrais quand même faire de la suppléance dans les écoles secondaires assez facilement, d'après moi. Mais pour ce qui est d'un poste, ça me semble plus difficile, à moins de passer par un échange (je ne sais pas comment ça fonctionne, par contre). Surtout que les postes en sciences humaines ne courent pas les rues... il y a beaucoup de jeune diplômés qui attendent un poste.
Tu pourrais peut-être tenter ta chance dans l'enseignement du français langue seconde, surtout à l'extérieur du Québec, en allant vers l'Ouest. Même dans l'Ouest de l'Ontario... je pense qu'il y a des possibilités d'emploi.
Si tu veux faire ton diplôme pour enseigner ici, l'Université d'Ottawa offre un programme de formation d'un an...

Cela me fait plaisir de trouver quelqu'un avec qui communiquer surotut actuellement où je passe un moment assez délicat. en effet je suis assistant d'education dans un collège et mon contrat arrive a terme le 31 aout prochain. Je me pose beaucoup de question pour la suite. Age de 29 ans si au niveua du contatc humain ce travail est un épanouissement total ce n'ets pas le cas pour le trvail en lui même. aussi je me demande si il est pas preferable de tenter ma chance a l'etranger. partir quelques temps pour me forger une autre experience, a la rencontre d'une autre culture. Tu es canadienne? où tu t'es également installer las bas? J'aimeraisd tellement trouver un job ? Niveau professeur de français dans l'ouest je suppose qu'il faut bien paler anglais ce qui est loin d'être mon cas.

Je suis canadienne, en effet, et je suis aussi dans le milieu de l'enseignement. ;) Ça me fait plaisir de t'aider si je peux!
En ce moment, je fais un diplôme d'un an pour pouvoir enseigner à l'élémentaire (mais c'est possible aussi de le faire pour le niveau secondaire i.e. college pour vous) à l'Université d'Ottawa. Après, on est reconnus par l'Ordre des enseignants de l'Ontario. Cette reconnaissance te permet d'enseigner partout dans cette province. Il faut simplement que tu aies un diplôme universitaire de trois ans, donc une license. C'est sûr que c'est encore un an d'études, mais ça ouvre des portes!
Il y a pas mal de gens d'ailleurs (y compris de France) qui viennent faire cette formation parce qu'il y a beaucoup de demandes pour des enseignants francophones à l'extérieur du Québec (surtout dans le Sud et le Nord de l'Ontario et en Alberta). C'est sûr que de parler anglais aide, mais comme c'est pour enseigner dans des écoles françaises, je ne sais pas si c'est absolument nécessaire... mais rien ne t'empêche de prendre quelques cours d'ici là pour te perfectionner et être un peu meilleur quand tu arriveras ;)
Au niveau du Québec, la formation que je fais permet aussi d'y travailler. Mais c'est certaine que, comme je te disais plus tôt, il y a moins de postes disponibles... C'est faisable, mais il faut compter quelques années de suppléance et de contrats à plus ou moins longs termes avant de trouver un poste à soi. Tout dépend de combien de temps du voudrais rester ici... En tout cas, si tu n'as pas un diplôme spécifique en enseignement, tu peux oublier un poste au Québec. Reste la suppléance, ça paye bien, mais c'est précaire... encore une fois, ça dépend de ce que tu cherches...
J'ai une licence donc si j'ai bien compris il faudrait que je fasse un an de formation au Canada même. Y'a t'il d'autres emplois auxquels je peux pretendre?

Sans la formation, comme je te dis, c'est possible de faire de la suppléance... si ça te plait, aucun problème. Personnellement, j'en ai fait pendant un an l'année dernière, je n'ai jamais manqué de travail et j'ai beaucoup aimé ça. Pour le court terme, c'est très bien. C'est simplement qu'en général, on ne veut pas faire de la suppléance toute sa vie. Aussi, il faudrait peut-être que tu contactes les commissions scolaires pour savoir quels sont les critères que chacune demande de ses suppléants. La mienne c'est la Commission scolaire Seigneurie des Mille-Îles et dès que tu as des crédits universitaires, tu peux être suppléant au secondaire. Mais chaque CS peut avoir des critères différents... faut voir.
Pour la formation, c'est assez intensif... De septembre à la fin avril et les cours sont condensés pour permettre 2 stages de 5 semaines (décembre et avril) et une semaine d'observation en octobre. Personnellement, je ne travaille pas en même temps, j'ai choisi de m'endetter... 😕 Certaines personnes dans mon groupe ont un emploi à temps partiel et réussissent, encore un fois, ça dépend des préférences de chacun.

La formation dont vous parlez est le certificat en éducation. En Ontario, une personne qui possède un baccalauréat dans une matière (ex: histoire, français, anglais, ...) peut faire un certificat en éducation pour obtenir le droit d'enseigner en Ontario. Vous trouverez les détails ici:

Alors voilà je viens vers vous pour avoir plus de renseignements concernant l'enseignement en Alberta. Je pars début janvier avec le statut de live in caregiver à Calgary..le séjour devrait durer jusque fin juin mais la famille me propose de le prolonger sur deux ans pour qu'à terme j'obtienne le statut de résident permanent et puisse enseigner au Canada (une idée que j'ai en tête depuis trèèèèès longtemps et dont je rêverais la concrétisation!)
Sachant que j'ai un master 2 en enseignement (spécialisation lettres modernes) et ce en France, donc équivalent bac+5, sachant également que j'ai une expérience de 8 mois en Irlande comme fille au pair (à laquelle s'ajouterait mon séjour au Canada)+stage d'un mois comme remplaçante stagiaire en lycée, professeur de cours à domicile (avec l'agence Acadomia et Complétude) entre deux, nombreuses heures de babysitting dans une agence de babysitting...pensez-vous que je puisse avoir mes chances de trouver un poste de professeur soit de français seconde langue ou alors enseigner la littérature française dans une école francophone voire anglophone...ce qui me plairait d'autant plus??!
Autre question, je parle "fluently" l'anglais mais n'ai pas le toiec ou toefl pour le prouver..je n'ai que le Cles2 ( diplôme de langue universitaire peu reconnu pour l'instant et qui certifie de mon niveau B2 au moins) Dois-je passer l'un ou l'autre de fait?

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
The hectares have remained unused for years due to a lack of financial means, since the project requires what I’d call a considerable investment. As the main stakeholder, I have a minimal contribution to offer.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Hi, I’m a self-employed physiotherapist in France, and as my wife (a nurse) and I look into working abroad in about two years, I’ve been offered an equivalence to become a respiratory physiotherapist in Switzerland. Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area. Anyway, that’s not the main point—could anyone explain the pros and cons of doing this job in Switzerland? Based on the paperwork I’ve received, the equivalence seems purely administrative or almost... What about working conditions, quality of life, salaries, etc.?
