Je suis menuisier et je compte faire un PVT au Canada. Étant donné qu'il n'y a plus de places pour l'année 2010, je voudrais anticiper pour l'année 2011 mais je n'arrive pas à me procurer les documents UE3 etc. nécessaires pour remplir le dossier de demande.
J'ai appelé l'ambassade qui m'ont dit d'attendre mais jusqu'à quand??? Je voudrais vraiment m'y prendre le plus tôt possible vu la "popularité" de ce programme et le peu de place proposé..
IL faut s armer de patience car en général les dossiers sont téléchargeables vers octobre novembre.
Mais ne t en fais pas, il y a pas mal de places (et ils les augmentent chaque année) et si tu t'y prends dans les temps, y a pas de probleme.
Je te conseil de ne pas trop de pécipiter, de prendre ton temps pour bien remplir le dossier, tu n as pas besoin d etre parmi les tout premiers!
Au cas ou, mais j imagine que tu connais déja, va sur ce site qui est une mine d infos!

Comme cela a été dit, surtout ne vous précipitez pas pour les papiers pour la demande de PVT.
Cela fait quelques années que le même montant est demandé sur l'attestation de fonds mais c'est possible que ça change cette année par exemple. Il est possible qu'il y ait aussi d'autres changements, même très petits donc au moment de remplir votre dossier faites très attention, et bien tout relire.
Vous pouvez commencer à préparer avant mais ne vous précipitez pas de l'envoyer au moment de l'ouverture. Il faut mieux "perdre" quelques jours à bien tout relire, quitte à vérifier avec d'autres personnes et être sur de son coup plutot que de se précipiter et être stresser après par peur d'avoir oublié quelque chose.
Je dis tout ça car j'en ai vu devoir refaire un dossier car il leur manquait un papier.

Oui j'ai mon PVT déjà. En fait j'ai téléchargé mon dossier au mois de décembre, je l'ai envoyé en janvier (je sais j'ai pris mon temps) et j'ai eu la réponse positive fin janvier. Et je pars en septembre, le temps de finir mon cdd, prendre 2 mois de vacances, et hop début septembre je m'installe la bas!
Juste un point à éclaircir: quand tu dis que tu as un contact en Gaspésie pour travailler, c'est quel genre de contact, de travail?
d'accord. C'est vrai que le pvt, une fois qu'il t'est accepté, il démarre que lorsque tu franchis le sol canadien.
le contact, j l'ai eu avec un de mes profs qui est partit la-bas et est allé dans une magnifique auberge tout en bois en gaspésie; la personne qui tient l'auberge est un passionné et continu à agrandir. Pleins de gens motivés et volontaires viennent d'un peu partout pour l'aider à construire. Du coup je l'ai contacté (motivé et volontaire comme je suis..lol) et il m'attend début septembre jusqu'a fin novembre (parce qu'apres il fait trop froid..). C'est une sorte de stage (nourrit, logé...) mais je suis super content; cela me permettra de visiter les environs qui ont l'air magnifique (ca fait deux fois "magnifique") en automne...
Et toi c'est quoi ton projet une fois la-bas? tu veux travailler dans un secteur précis? faire le tour du pays?
Ok c'est une sorte de volontariat que tu vas faire. J'ai eu peur que ce soit quelque chose d'illégal ^^.
Ca va surement être bien sympa comme expérience et ça va te permettre de rencontrer plein de monde dans une région sympa!
Je vais voyager en juillet et aout (canada et hawai) donc en septembre je vais chercher un boulot pour remettre un peu d'argent sur le compte et après on verra. Si je peux voyager je le ferai sinon je profiterai de montreal, là où je compte m'installer si je ne change pas d'avis d'ici là! Si je trouve un travail dans mon secteur (les stats) je prends (mais j'y crois pas trop) mais un petit job m'irait très bien aussi.

si tu as un contact sur place tu as fait 95% du travail ; c'est vraiment un avantage énorme..

Parce qu'en Amérique du Nord, le réseautage est un des principaux moyens de dénicher un emploi. Or, si tu ne connais personne, que tu ne connais pas les us et coutumes, que tu ignores nos codes, et que EN PLUS tu es un étranger, et bien c'est plus difficile.

et dps 6 mois avec mon copain on a bouge de marseille a dublin en pleine crise eco et tt le monde ns a dit que c etait de la pure folie car on avait ts les 2 de bons tafs et on a reussi. bon a 2 boulots a la con mais on a qd meme reussi a se faire des copains et avoir du boulot qd meme.
dc jeme dis qd tu as la volonte, que n es pas trop bete, la tete sur les epaules et que t ai sympa et pas une feneasse tu y arrives partout meme si c est pas le reve.

Ici les différences culturelles n'ont absolument rien à voir avec la différence nord/sud en France.
Ici cela s'apparente à l'Amérique du Nord avec quelques influences européennes mais les modes de fonctionnement sont un peu différents.
Quand je parlais d'épreuve à surmonter cela signifie que sans faire partie d'une communauté particulière c'est assez difficile.
La grosse différence entre ici et la France c'est que c'est un système social communautaire
Il y a la communauté grecque, haitienne, magrébine etc.. alors qu'en France c'est un moins flagrant.

Pour maximiser tes chances, tu dois postuler dès l'ouverture du programme car le quota est très rapidement atteint, le PVT canadien est très populaire chez les Français. La période d'inscription débute quelque part à l'automne, la date n'a pas encore été précisée.

Tu dois imprimer le email et l'apporter avec toi lors de ton arrivée au Canada. L'ambassade canadienne ne délivre aucun permis de travail, elle en donne seulement l'autorisation écrite. C'est l'agent d'immigration au Canada qui délivrera ton permis en échange de la lettre (ou email).

L'idée m'a pris il y a environ une semaine mais cela n'empeche que je suis tres motivée a faire une demande de visa pour le PVT au Canada.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
