pour les vols depuis le sud est de la france on peut passer par ryanair pour une poignee d'euros il vous meneront de marseille a madrid puis aller sur le site "atrapalo" (en espagnol)pour reserver un vol madrid tenerife ou lanzarote etc.., c'est aussi moitie prix que si vous reserviez sur un site francais

Merci pour ces tuyaux, d'autant plus que j'ai déjà réservé une voiture à Ténérife avec Orcar à 107 € la semaine (du 4 au 11 nov.), ça me rassure. Effectivement c'est pas cher. Pour les sudistes, Ryanair est évidemment très intéressant, mais on n'est pas obligé de faire Marseille-Madrid-Canaries. Au départ de Girona (environ 60 km de la frontière espagnole côté Perpignan) c'est direct jusqu'à Ténérife Nord et Sud et pour Fuerteventura (40 € à deux aller-retour en novembre!!!!)
oui pour girona mais attention tu dois changer d'aeroport car il y a deux aeroports celui de girona et celui de barcelone, c'est un peu galere aparement j'ai pas voulu tenter
quand tu arrives a l'aeroport tu vas au comptoir autoreisien c'est le comptoir d'orcar mais ce n'est pas indiqué.
nous avons eu une citroen saxo et comme on etait creves on s'est pas apercu tout de suite qu'elle vibrait, on est donc retourne le lendemain et on a pu changer de voiture sans aucun probleme ils sont super efficaces ils nous ont donne une twingo vert tilleul super pour le meme prix (elle est plus chere normalement) donc je recommande vivement
j'ai eu a louer d'autres voitures sur d'autres iles et c'est 3 fois le prix, si tu te rends sur gomera ensuite je te conseillle de garder la voiture orcar meme si tu dois payer le prix de la traversee ca te reviendra moins cher que d'en louer une autre sur place (connerie que j'ai faite car pas informée!)

je prefere le vieux ferry ou tu peux t'installer dehors et regarder les dauphins s'ebattre dans l'immensité et les globicephales (on les voit a coup sur si on est dehors et attentif, je te conseille de prendre des jumelles)

je ne partage pas ton avis concernant la location de voiture aux canaries, car j'ai deja essayé les 2 options: une première fois en louant à l'avance depuis la France, une seconde fois en louant sur place. Cette seconde option ne m'a couté que 15 euros par jour, voiture impeccable et le loueur a mème eu la gentillesse de nous amener (gratis) à l'aéroport apres restitution du véhicule
concernant Las Americas (Tenerife), c'est effectivement bruyant, mieux vaut loger du coté de Los christianos qui est plus tranquille et qui n'est qu'à 3 ou 4km de Las Americas
Enfin concernant la remarque de lazybone: Gomera est d'un interet limité et la traversée coute cher et puis il y a tellement de choses à visiter à Tenerife, en particulier la montée du Teide ou encore un tour au Nord de l'ile; une semaine (ou mème 2) ça passe tellement vite!

pour les loueurs de voiture il faudrait que tu sois plus precis et que tu donnes les noms des loueurs afin qu'on ne reproduise pas les memes erreurs, je ne trouve pas que la gomera soit d'un interet limité il y a mille et un sentiers de randonnee et l'on peut y ecouter de la vraie musique canarienne et y manger de la vraie cuisine canarienne mais c'est sur qu'il n'y a pas de boites de nuit...

concernant le loueur de voiture, j'en ai pris 1 à tout hasard du coté de Los Christianos (si une personne a besoin de ses coordonnées, je peux toujours trouver dans mes archives)
concernant Gomera, ce qui dérange, outre le prix de la traversée, c'est l'attente avant la traversée (des 2 cotés)
D'un autre coté, Tenerife a d'autres centres d'interets que ses boites de nuit: il y a bien sur la capitale Santa Cruz, la plage Las Teresitas, le superbe chemin de montagne vers Taganana, les pyramides de Guimar, les villes pittoresques de Candelaria, Matanza et surtout puerto de la Cruz
mais aussi: Icod de Los vinos, Garachico, les falaises Los Gigantes et surtout le majestueux El Teide qui, du haut de ses 3800 mètres, donne une vue imprenable sur toute la zone des Canaries!
ok je vois que tu es passionné(e) donc je m'incline, je connais 3 iles canaries mais je suppose qu'elles sont toutes belles et pittoresques selon ce que l'on recherche.et surtout elles sont accessibles en 3H!

et bien tout d'abord, je ne suis jamais alle aux canaries en hiver donc je ne peux pas vous parler du climat!
il y a plein de choses a faire a tenerife mais je vous conseille avec une enfant de louer a puerto de la cruz, c'est une ville plutot conviviale pas trop grande et agreable, il y a aussi beaucoup plus d'espagnols qu'ailleurs et elle est bien placee pour randonner autour, je vous conseille d'acheter un guide de voyage mais pas le petit futé qui est nul a chier, peut etre lonely planet si il existe pour cette destination!
en tout cas j'insiste ne logez surtout pas a playa de las americanas, c'est tres bruyant et reservé aux jeunes qui boivent et plus.. impossible de fermer l'oeil de la nuit et l'ambiance y est plutot malsaine (mais c'est mon avis de femme de 45 ans!), si vous voulez loger dans le sud preferez los christianos
vous pouvez reserver une location (petit appartement avec kitchinette en general) sur le site canarias.com, je l'lai fait j'ai payé et je n'ai pas eu de problemes ma chambre etait prete le jour J

We’re planning a short trip at the end of July to explore the legendary mountains and valleys of the Bernese Oberland: round trip from Nancy (Swiss highway vignette planned), 2 nights in a room with a small kitchen in Adelboden, then 2 nights in a hotel at the Gletscherblick in Grindelwald, both with half-board included.
Could you share some tips on the best road routes to take, as well as some walking hikes (we’re not as fit as we used to be, so nothing longer than 2-3 hours)? Maybe also 1 or 2 cable car rides—I was thinking of Oeschinensee Lake above Kandersteg and the First gondola above Grindelwald for better panoramic views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau... all while keeping it doable with our schedule. We’ve ruled out the "premium" trip up to the Jungfraujoch for this time.
I’m also guessing that paying to access Wengen or Mürren only makes sense if we’re staying there for a few days, right?
- Is the road through the narrow valley of the White Lütschine toward Lauterbrunnen and beyond still worth it in terms of views and scenery?

I visited the Faroe Islands in late March 2026 for about ten days. I was invited by a friend who lives near Tórshavn, so I don’t have any info on tourist accommodations or car rentals. Still, I’d like to share a few thoughts about my trip:
- Before leaving, I consulted travel guides and blogs. I was surprised by how repetitive and unoriginal the featured sites were. This leads hurried travelers to follow the same overcrowded routes, which can annoy locals. I found that all Faroese villages were interesting—they reflect the country’s identity, even without the iconic grass-roofed houses. Those are indeed harmonious and beautiful, but they feel like an exotic cliché. For activities, I loved the lively ports that keep the country running.
- I was annoyed by the paid trails in tourist spots. Locals explained that these paths cross private land, and owners are responsible for maintenance and safety. There are plenty of free trails, too—signs at the start detail their features. While not alarmist, the extreme and unpredictable weather is a key factor to consider before setting out.
- The wind’s strength really impressed me. The architecture, with doors and windows opening outward to prevent gusts from blowing roofs off, speaks to the harsh climate. Some days, relentless rain and squalls made going outside unappealing. I realized that in this country, it’s best to plan for flexible indoor days.
- Distances are relatively short. I was happy to be based near Tórshavn because it was easy to explore one or more places in a day. The roads are in great condition. In late March, diesel was 2 €. Tunnel tolls can add up (~26 € per crossing), making a fixed base less practical than I’d thought.
- Everyone agrees: the landscapes are breathtaking. Nature feels untamed here—except for the short grass, thanks to all the woolly sheep.
- The flight from Paris to the Faroe Islands (and back) was long in March—11 hours with three legs: Paris-Amsterdam, Amsterdam-Copenhagen, Copenhagen-Vágar. In bad weather, Vágar Airport can close, causing delays. During tourist season, Atlantic Airways offers a direct Paris-Faroe Islands flight, which is more comfortable and cheaper.
- I found a book recommendation in a guide that fascinated me after my trip: *Les collectionneurs d'images* by Joanes Nielsen. Through its sometimes caricatured characters, it offers a glimpse into Faroese mentalities from the 1950s to 1970s—attitudes that likely persist today.
In conclusion, I’ve traveled a lot and I’m tired of destinations that all start to look the same. The Faroe Islands were a delight—a country stunning in its landscape, climate, and culture, where tourism has barely altered its authenticity.

We’re heading to Bavaria from May 13 to 23, with a side trip to Austria.
Here’s our itinerary:
Day 1: Brussels-Munich
Day 2: Munich
Day 3: Munich and departure for Salzburg
We’ll be staying three nights in Salzburg.
Then we’ll head to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where we’ll stay for five nights.
Visiting Munich and Salzburg isn’t too tricky.
Once in Garmisch, we’re planning a day in Innsbruck, a day for Neuschwanstein Castle, and the rest is still up in the air.
What’s really got me stumped is that we’d love to see Königssee Lake—everyone says it’s a must-see.
We’d also like to visit the Eagle’s Nest (Kehlsteinhaus), where the landscapes are supposedly stunning.
This would either be a round trip while we’re in Salzburg or on the way between Salzburg and Garmisch, but I’m guessing it’s impossible to do the drive from Salzburg to Garmisch, the Eagle’s Nest, *and* Königssee Lake all in one day.
