Hi everyone, I'm really tempted by the idea of French-style cruises on smaller vessels, and I'm looking into CFC. I’d love to hear your experiences and feedback. Thanks, and have a great day!

Hello, Unfortunately, CFC has just been absorbed by Ambassabor Cruise Line, a British-Dutch company, so many things will change when CFC cruises resume on March 1st, especially the "French-style" characteristic. Best regards

Hi, We’re leaving from March 31, 2025, to April 11, 2025. I’ll share our impressions around mid-April. What exactly would you like to know? Mum49

I’m curious to know if they’ve fixed the air conditioning and plumbing issues and if they’ve finally added a second coffee and water station at the buffet. Have a great cruise!

In December, there were two drink stations at the buffet—one on the starboard side and one on the port side.

No specific question, just a general opinion because you find a lot of criticism online about either the ship itself or canceled/relocated ports of call. Also, the fact that the excursions are only available once the booking is made raises some questions for me. Have a great day

Hi there, I’ll share feedback on our cruise in mid-April. I’ll let you know how the excursions went; we “pre-booked” 2: Oslo and Sandnes (a visit to Stavanger, since the one with navigation on the Lysefjord interested us, but if canceled by CFC, no refund... at 159 € per excursion, that stings...). We’ll explore on our own in Copenhagen, Kristiansand, and Zeebrugge thanks to the tips shared on this forum. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate—I’ll do my best to answer. Mum49

It’s still ridiculous to have a non-refundable excursion if the cruise line cancels it...

It’s still absurd to have a non-refundable excursion if the company cancels it...

Hello, With CFC, you pay at the end of the cruise, so there can’t be a refund since an excursion canceled by CFC won’t be charged. However, there can’t be any compensation like "onboard credit," for example, for the inconvenience caused, as some other companies sometimes do. On CFC’s website, it states: "In case of cancellation or modification of an excursion due to force majeure, technical reasons, or if the minimum number of participants isn’t reached, no charge will be made to the passenger, but this will not entitle them to any collective or individual compensation." Best regards

Thanks for the clarification—it makes sense now, and I understand better.

Hi Micax,

Thanks so much for clarifying how the excursions are billed. We had a different interpretation. Because of that, we’re going to book the excursion to Lysefjord—it really caught our eye. Mum49
