Chauffeur guide au Vietnam

Tout le Vietnam ? A quelle période (important à cause du climat différent dans chaque région) ? Pour combien de temps ?
On ne loue pas un chauffeur pour tout ; en effet, vous avez parfois des distances interminables sur des routes barbantes (par ex Hue-Hanoi ou Hanoi-Sapa si vous voulez le faire en un jour). On alterne donc les chauffeurs LOCAUX (donc qui conbnaissent bien leur région) par exemple un chauffeur pour le delta du Mékong, un pour Hoi An-Danag-Hue et un pour les montagnes du Nord, et les trains de nuit pour les longs parcours rasoir (par ex Hue-Hanoi).
De plus, par ex, sur vs allez à Sapa en voiture, il vs faudra payer plein tarif pendant vos 2-3 jours de trekking pendant lequel vs n'avez pas besoion de chauffeur, donc ce que vs faites est de monter à Sapa en train de nuit, trekking et un chauffeur local vs emmène ensuite ailleurs ; de même, les croisières Along se font au départ de Hanoi, avec les transferts AR Hanoi-Along inclus dans le prix, donc pas de chauffeur privé ; etc.
Conclusion : il faudrait une idée de votre itinéraire prévu

Nous viendrons 3 semaine entre oct et nov . On veut y aller cool alors si on ne voit que le nord ou nque le sud on reviendra . Le système chauffeur /guide nous plait beaucoup nous avons découvert Madagascar en trois voyages avec le meme guide et c'était super JO
Votre problème est que maintenant, vos mois sont les 2 pires pour le Centre du Vietnam, car c'est la pleine saison des typhons et des grandes inondations à Hoi An et Hue. Restent donc le Sud et le Nord, je dirais une semaine Sud et 15j Nord, plus interessant A MOINS QUE VOUS NE VOULIEZ FAIRE UN SEJOUR PLAGE, auquel cas c'est l'ile de Phu Quoc ou les iles Con Dao.
Cela ferait donc un chauffeur pour le Sud, disons pour la journée Tay Ninh/Tunnels de Cu Chi et un tour Saigon-Chau Doc AR, très bien si vs faites Phu Quoc car vs faites alors Saigon-Cai be-ille de An Binh-Sadec-Long Xuyen-ile du Tigre-Chau Doc-Can Tho + avion Can Tho-Phu Quoc, retour par avion Phu Quoc-Saigon

La solution chauffeur avec guide en passant par une agence locale semble l'idéal pour vous et ne pas garder le même guide pour les différentes régions est effectivement une bonne solution. En ce qui nous concerne nous étions partis en Octobre/début Novembre par l'intermédiaire de l'agence vietnam.decouverte. Nous en avons été très satisfaits et je vous la conseille.
Au centre, période quelquefois problématique. (typhons...) heureusement, l'agence a géré la situation impeccablement.
15 jours dans le Nord ou plus et une semaine dans le Sud à cette période c'est à mon humble avis parfait. Et si vous voulez vraiment être très cool, voyez que le Nord.

Je confirme, l'agence Vietnam découverte est très performante et ses prix sont compétitifs, les guides et les chauffeurs sont très attentifs de même que le responsable de l'agence.
Lors de notre séjour en juin dernier, il prenait régulièrement de nos nouvelles pour savoir si tout se passait bien (hôtels, guides, chauffeurs etc).

Magnifique que j'ai adoré, je l'ai fait 3 fois en février, en octobre, en août toujours avec le même chauffeur et guide, je n'ai qu'une envie : y retourner !!!!!!! j'ai le mail de cette personne essayez de le contacter s'il est libre, mais je l'ignore; bon voyage en tous cas !!!!!! tuanmom79 @yahoo.com

nous sommes 4 personnes qui désirons visiter en liberté le vietnam avec la participation d'un chauffeur guide parlant un peu Français et anglais, pendant notre sejour du 15 au 30 octobre 2015 depart ho chi minh
pouvez vous nous faire une offre chiffrée, nous vous en remercions a l'avance
J'ai bien peur que vous n'ayez pas une idée bien précise du Vietnam ! Saigon-Hanoi, c'est 1800 km à vol d'oiseau, plus de 2500 km si vous uivez la route côtière. Inutile de dire que vous ne faites pas tout cela en voiture avce chauffeur, d'autant plus que grande partie est complètement barbante et se fait soit en train de nuit, soit par un vol (par ex la portion Saigon-Danang ou Hue-Hanoi) ; de plus, vous ne trouverez pas un chauffeur qui connait bien tout le pays, extrêmement diversifié et très compliqué à parcourir, avec dans le Nord des cols de 20-30 km de long, des portions très touristiques (mais à voir quand même) ou un chauffeur et complètement inutile (par ex Along et Sapa dans le Nord), d'autres où un chauffeur est mieux mais pas indispensable, et d'autres (par ex lac babe dans le Nord) ou le nord de Ha Giang et Cao Bang/chutes de Ban Gioc) où il est indispensable
De toute façon, ON NE FAIT PAS LE VIETNAM EN 15 JOURS !!!! nze seait-ce que parce que on roule rarement à plus de 40 km/h ici (et 30-35 dans le smontagnes) et on ne roule pas la nuit, qui tombe vers 18h30 en octobre.

Oui, de retour, 3 semaines de moto et un peu déçu à part les 4000 iles. Je n'ai jamais entendu parler d'un marché de Na Rang ; mon atlas m'indique un Na Rang au milieu de nulle part au sud de Bac Kan, sur une petite route en cul-de-sac. MP pour le reste.

narang est pourtant indiqué comme etant dans la province de cao bang, avec un marché dont parlent les tours operateurs (toujours de la même manière et sans citer le jour)
celui que tu as vu est ds cette province??
pour le chauffeur je ne pars pas de hanoi, puisque je serai déjà ds le nord
je vais alors voir avec transports public et taxi moto, sauf si je peux trouver dans le nord quelqu'un qui ne vient pas de hanoi

Celui que j'ai n'est pas du tout du coté de Cao Bang et je n'est aucun Na Rang de ce coté-là sur mon atlas, pourtant très précis. Il y a des marchés partout dans le nord. Voici la liste de ceux que je connais autour de Cao Bang mais c'est en jours lunaires, ce qui n'aide pas beaucoup. Le mieux à faire est de demander une fois là-haut

Sinon, sur la route Quang Hoa vers la chute de Ban Gioc, il y a le marche de Trung Khanh qui a lieu tous les dimanches.
Il y a un nouveau hôtel a cote de la chute de Ban Gioc investi par Saigon tourisme qui est déjà mis en fonction depuis 2 ans.

Notre périple avance sérieusement, mais je cherche toujours un chauffeur avec voiture pour faire d'une part la boucle nord Bac ha/HG/Dong Van et aussi la 32, donc si vous avez un chauffeur indépendant à nous conseiller, on est à l'écoute, pour faire ces 2 boucles séparément s'il est difficile de prendre un chauffeur à Lao cai et le rendre à Hanoi. En fait, je suis un guide et je travaille pour une agence mais a cote, j'ai des voitures a louer! si vous voulez une voiture 4x4 pour explorer le Nord, je peux vous aider!
C'est mon frere qui conduit la voiture et il connait tres bien les regions du Nord. Il parle pas beaucoup de mots francais mai il pourrait comprendre l'idee des clients car il a fait ce type de circuit depuis des annees!

Bonjour Larsay, Oui, c'est cela ... mais arrivant du Yunnan par Lao Caî, c'est un peu dommage, mais je pense qu'on a pas le choix si on veut faire simple (donc train LC/Hanoï, ou avion Kunming/Hanoï) question de prix ... 😕
Par contre, on ne fera pas de grands treks sur Sapa car nous avons 70 ans, en forme mais pas mal d'arthrose au niveau des genoux !! je souhaitais y repasser car depuis 98 ça a dû changer, mais en mal si j'ai biens compris, sauf que les paysages sont sans doute restés intacts et je voulais que mon conjoint voit la région, donc n'y resteront pas pour les treks, ou un d'une 1/2 journée sans trop de dénivelé ni sur terrain instable, sur du plat ça va, même si ça monte un peu !
Je pars une semaine et revoit ça à mon retour, au besoin, on se recontacte ! Merci pour tout Dan

Par contre, on ne fera pas de grands treks sur Sapa car nous avons 70 ans, en forme mais pas mal d'arthrose au niveau des genoux !! je souhaitais y repasser car depuis 98 ça a dû changer, mais en mal si j'ai biens compris, sauf que les paysages sont sans doute restés intacts et je voulais que mon conjoint voit la région, donc n'y resteront pas pour les treks, ou un d'une 1/2 journée sans trop de dénivelé ni sur terrain instable, sur du plat ça va, même si ça monte un peu !

After 40 years of traveling in Morocco, I want to explore a new area by 4x4—the Western Moroccan Sahara, which I don’t know very well. I have plenty of tracks and itineraries, but I’d love some info to help me decide on the best route:
Part 1:
I want to do the ASSA - SMARA crossing. Basically, I have two options: the first follows the Draa River and goes through M’SIED, and the second is much further south, passing through LABOUIRAT and heading straight to SMARA.
If you have any details on road conditions, driving restrictions, etc., I’d really appreciate it.
Part 2: SMARA - BIR ANZERANE - DAKHLA – here, I also have two routes. The first heads west from Smara toward Sidi Kathari. The second goes east from SMARA and gets pretty close to the border at one point (about 10 km away). For next summer’s vacation, I’m thinking of returning to the Sahara after visiting Tamanrasset and the Hoggar, which was stunning—not to mention the Tuareg hospitality.
I’d like to explore the sandy desert this time since the Hoggar was 80% rocky.
So, I’m wondering which city I should prioritize if I want to go there in late July–early August for the landscapes, extreme heat, and guides offering 4x4 and camel treks. Also, if there are any recommended guides for those in the know and a decent hotel.
I’m torn between Djanet, In Salah, Adrar, Ghardaïa, and Timimoun.
I’m of Algerian origin, so no visa or other formalities to worry about.

Hello, I’m preparing for a Tunisia-Algeria road trip.
I need to know if we can cross the Sahara to reach Djanet and Tamanrasset by road freely,
After that, obviously off-road in the desert with a guide.

My trip: northern and southern Tunisia, a stroll in the desert.
Crossing the Tunisia-Algeria border via the Taleb Larbi customs.
I’ve already done this route through an agency, but this time we want to do it on our own.
Then heading down to Djanet for eight to fifteen days in the desert with Mouloud, a local guide.
Direction Tamanrasset: road and tracks, the mountains of the Assekrem, the Hermitage of Père de Foucauld.
Return via the Trans-Saharan Highway.
Visit to northern Algeria, then back by boat from Oran to Spain.
Dates: late December to mid-February.
We’ve got plenty of time.
If another crew is interested, we’re already two vehicles.

We’ll be traveling in January 2027 in a 4x4 with a rooftop tent with our three kids, from Johannesburg to Cape Town. We’ve already booked several campsites in national parks (Golden Gate / Mountain Zebra / Addo Elephant / Garden Route).
We still need to reserve the stretch between De Hoop Nature Reserve and Cape Town. Any suggestions?
We’d love to stay around Cape Town for 5 days to explore the wine route, the peninsula, and do some hikes in Table Mountain.

I also considered Zimbabwe but I’m worried it might be a bit chilly at night in June.
I’ve revisited an itinerary I’d thought about before, tweaking it since I’ll have more days to dedicate to this trip. Still no big northern classics for the same reasons as before (too expensive, too crowded, too many tour operators).

I’m looking for the start of a trail in the Picos de Europa in Spain that I used over 30 years ago in a 4x4.
It began by passing under a house, and there was a café nearby.
I know it’s not much to go on, but that’s all I’ve got. The fact that the trail started by going under a house isn’t exactly common!
If anyone has any ideas, I’d really appreciate it.

Hi there, we’ll be in Mozambique in early December 2026 and we’d like to travel from Vilanculos to Beira by car or bus to reach Beira airport. After that, we’re planning to visit Gorongosa National Park before flying back to France from Beira. We’re planning a 4x4 trip from Belgium to Central Asia, passing through Georgia, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
For these countries, our national insurance obviously doesn’t cover the vehicle, so we’ll need to get local insurance.
Will it be a problem if the vehicle is registered under person A and the national insurance is under person B? Both A and B will be in the vehicle, and both will be listed as drivers on the insurance.
When we get the local insurance, if we again list A and B as drivers, does the order matter? Could we get stuck at the border for this reason?

For those who’ve driven on Iceland’s gravel roads in their own or a rented Duster, could you tell me what tires were fitted on the vehicle?
Were they All Terrain tires or more "standard" ones like all-season tires, for example?

I’m looking for detailed maps of this region that include small roads and tracks.
Last year, we had a fantastic road trip in the Anti-Atlas and High Atlas using Erfahren maps, but unfortunately, they don’t cover the area we’re interested in this year.

However, the rental agencies we’ve found prohibit driving on the tracks to Omalo (Tusheti) and/or Ushguli (Svaneti). Do you know of any agencies in Tbilisi (local and reliable) that allow rented 4x4s to drive on these tracks? If so, which ones?

I’d love to visit Gonarezhou National Park—I see there are two sectors: the Mwenezi Region in the south and the area around the Runde River in the north. Should I cover both sectors or just focus on the northern region?
For the parks along the Zambezi River, is it better to visit Mana Pools on the Zimbabwe side or Lower Zambezi on the Zambia side?
