J'ai la possibilité de ce premier forfait: Madrid, Tolède, Granada, Ronda, Torremolinos, Xérès, Cadiz, Puerto de Santa Maria, Séville et Cordoue en 9 jours et 7 nuits. C'est un circuit organisé avec 7 déjeûners et 7 soupers et toute les visites sont incluses. Par contre, chaque nuitée est dans une ville et hôtel différent. Il y a un tour de ville d'inclus dans chaque ville.
J'ai la possibilité de prolonger le séjour d'une journée et de passer par Barcelone avec un tour de ville, sans suivre le groupe pour environ 500$ de plus.
Puis, il y a un autre forfait de groupe de 10 jours qui va à Madrid, Tolède, Puerto Lapice, Cordoue, Seville, Granada, Valence, Peniscola et Barcelone pour 1000$ de plus que le premier forfait. Celui-ci ne va pas autant dans la Costa Del Sol cependant nous séjournons à quelques reprises 2 nuitées par ville notamment Madrid, Seville et Barcelone.
Les visites sont sensiblement les mêmes sauf pour les villes en supplément dans chaque forfait, évidemment.
Comme je ne projète pas retourner en Espagne une autre fois dans ma vie, quel séjour me proposez-vous et si c'est le premier, ajouteriez-vous Barcelone?
Je ne peux pas changer les forfaits et je préfère cette façon de voyager qui est organisée comme je voyage seule.

Non, en fait, le séjour se termine à Madrid et j'aurais un vol vers Barcelone, une nuitée dans un hôtel bien situé et une passe d'une journée pour le tour de ville. C'est 500$ canadiens. Le vol est déjà de 275$.
Je ne peux pas ajouter de nuitées supplémentaires à Barcelone car il n'y a qu'un vol par semaine Barcelone-Montréal.
je n'aime pas beaucoup ces tours marathons, mais dans ton cas si c'est ton seul voyage en Espagne de ta vie, alors il ne faut pas passer à côté de Barcelona ...le deuxième me paraît donc mieux . En plus puvoir vivre au moins une soirée andalouse, à Sevilla est absolument impératif pour s'imprégner de la vie de cette province espagnole si particulière😛
Donc, vous considérez que je ne manquerais rien à Ronda, Torremolinos, Xérès, Cadiz et Puerto de Santa Maria qui sont dans le premier forfait? Il est à préciser que ce forfait prévoit aussi une nuitée à Séville donc je tenterais très fort d'avoir une soirée andalouse justement avec un spectacle de flamenco si possible.
Je ne vois que Valence et Barcelone en supplément dans le deuxième forfait et je pourrais ajouter Barcelone au premier.

c'est un marathon dans les deux cas, la deuxième solution à l'avantage de passer par Barcelone et permet de mieux voir les différentes villes du circuit;
Pour avoir un premier aperçu:
Bien sûr que Ronda manquera mais c'est un petit village, et dans votre cas , pour 1 seule fois dans sa vie en Espagne, il faut savoir choisir les priorités, et je pense que Barcelona en est une , de plus Madrid, Sevilla et Barcelona sont de grandes villes qui nécessitent bien 2 à 3 jours , 1 seul jour à Barcelona est une hérésie😕
Quand on est dans un autre continent c'est très difficile de se dire "je ne veux surtout pas manquer mes vacances" et tu as raison. Il y a sur ce forum des personnes qui connaissent bien, je dirais même très bien l'Espagne ( fabritz, ) et qui te donne des bons conseils.
Je vais te donner mon opinion:
Tu vas faire beaucoup de Km et ce n'est pas parce que tu feras beaucoup de villes que tu auras visité l'Espagne.
Je m'explique:
l'Andalousie nécessite minimum 10 à 12 jours pour avoir un aperçue de cette région qui retrace la Réconquista sur los Moros.
Madrid, Tolède..........Barcelona il te faut aussi minimum 10à 12 jours pour avoir aussi un aperçue de ces magnifiques villes.
J'ai regardé ton profil et à ton âge tu auras encore l'occasion de venir nous voir sur cette vieille Europe chargée d'Histoire. Et c'est a partir du circuit que tu auras choisi, des villes visitées qui tu pourras approfondir. Nous serons là pour t'aide, te conseiller sur des visites précises et sur les incontournables.
Perso je choisirais Madrid, .... Sevilla..... et Barça.
bonjour! à part Puerto Lapice qui est un village ds le pays de Don Quichotte , visite dont on peut se passer et ne connaissant pas la valeur du dollar CN, je vote à 2 mains pr le second circuit : la costa del sol est une suite d' hotels internationnaux ; Cadix et Ronda ont plus de caractère mais Seville , Madrid , Barcelonne méritent bien 2 nuits ! bon voyage

J'avoue -en secret-😎 que je suis de ton avis, et j'espère qu'avec un premier aperçu marathonnien de ce beau pays qu'est l'Espagne, maya reviendra pour approfondir une des régions qu'elle préfèrera comme je l'ai fait moi-même pour finalement établir mon camp de base en Andalousie, mais j'avoue avoir un gros faible pour la belle Barcelona ... ses "vibrations de festivités urbaines et gaudiennes"😄 (je ne trouve pas d'autres expressions pour caractériser les sensations que j'ai dans cette ville😊) me manquent souvent ... et le jour reviendra où j'irais la re-découvrir encore en étape lors de mes trajets en Andalousie, même si depuis Bordeaux, ce n'est pas vraiment ma route😇
A la lumière de vos réponses, mon choix change d'heures en heures mais présentement, je suis tentée d'aller uniquement sur la Costa Del Sol et d"être basée à un seul hôtel soit à Torremolinos, et ce pour 7 nuitées.
De là, je pourrai visiter Cordoue, Séville et Grenade en excursions d'une journée. J'éliminerai ainsi le côté "marathon" avec la possibilité de me prélasser sur la plage quelques heures et d'avoir toutes mes soirées libres pour me promener un peu dans la région et apprécier des spectacles peut-être de flamenco.
De plus, j'aurai la possibilité de voir le rock de Gibraltar, Mijas, Fuengirola, Marbella, Ronda, un vignoble dans Jerez, etc... J'ai magasiné beaucoup les options d'excursions et je peux facilement en trouver une pour chaque jour, bien que je ne veux pas reproduire le côté marathon encore une fois. Je devrai choisir!
Par contre, vous devez savoir que les vols de Montréal sont une fois par semaine pour ces destinations, alors, les 10 jours sont difficiles!
Puis, à un autre moment dans ma vie, je pourrai prendre un forfait duo, de Madrid et Barcelone pour un autre 7 jours. J'aurais alors davantage de temps pour visiter ces belles villes, comme vous me le suggérez tous!

We’re planning a short trip at the end of July to explore the legendary mountains and valleys of the Bernese Oberland: round trip from Nancy (Swiss highway vignette planned), 2 nights in a room with a small kitchen in Adelboden, then 2 nights in a hotel at the Gletscherblick in Grindelwald, both with half-board included.
Could you share some tips on the best road routes to take, as well as some walking hikes (we’re not as fit as we used to be, so nothing longer than 2-3 hours)? Maybe also 1 or 2 cable car rides—I was thinking of Oeschinensee Lake above Kandersteg and the First gondola above Grindelwald for better panoramic views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau... all while keeping it doable with our schedule. We’ve ruled out the "premium" trip up to the Jungfraujoch for this time.
I’m also guessing that paying to access Wengen or Mürren only makes sense if we’re staying there for a few days, right?
- Is the road through the narrow valley of the White Lütschine toward Lauterbrunnen and beyond still worth it in terms of views and scenery?

I visited the Faroe Islands in late March 2026 for about ten days. I was invited by a friend who lives near Tórshavn, so I don’t have any info on tourist accommodations or car rentals. Still, I’d like to share a few thoughts about my trip:
- Before leaving, I consulted travel guides and blogs. I was surprised by how repetitive and unoriginal the featured sites were. This leads hurried travelers to follow the same overcrowded routes, which can annoy locals. I found that all Faroese villages were interesting—they reflect the country’s identity, even without the iconic grass-roofed houses. Those are indeed harmonious and beautiful, but they feel like an exotic cliché. For activities, I loved the lively ports that keep the country running.
- I was annoyed by the paid trails in tourist spots. Locals explained that these paths cross private land, and owners are responsible for maintenance and safety. There are plenty of free trails, too—signs at the start detail their features. While not alarmist, the extreme and unpredictable weather is a key factor to consider before setting out.
- The wind’s strength really impressed me. The architecture, with doors and windows opening outward to prevent gusts from blowing roofs off, speaks to the harsh climate. Some days, relentless rain and squalls made going outside unappealing. I realized that in this country, it’s best to plan for flexible indoor days.
- Distances are relatively short. I was happy to be based near Tórshavn because it was easy to explore one or more places in a day. The roads are in great condition. In late March, diesel was 2 €. Tunnel tolls can add up (~26 € per crossing), making a fixed base less practical than I’d thought.
- Everyone agrees: the landscapes are breathtaking. Nature feels untamed here—except for the short grass, thanks to all the woolly sheep.
- The flight from Paris to the Faroe Islands (and back) was long in March—11 hours with three legs: Paris-Amsterdam, Amsterdam-Copenhagen, Copenhagen-Vágar. In bad weather, Vágar Airport can close, causing delays. During tourist season, Atlantic Airways offers a direct Paris-Faroe Islands flight, which is more comfortable and cheaper.
- I found a book recommendation in a guide that fascinated me after my trip: *Les collectionneurs d'images* by Joanes Nielsen. Through its sometimes caricatured characters, it offers a glimpse into Faroese mentalities from the 1950s to 1970s—attitudes that likely persist today.
In conclusion, I’ve traveled a lot and I’m tired of destinations that all start to look the same. The Faroe Islands were a delight—a country stunning in its landscape, climate, and culture, where tourism has barely altered its authenticity.
