J'espère que vous allez bien :) ! J'ai 20 ans, je vis à Paris et j'ai terminé récemment mon BTS communication.
Mais voilà, j'ai été plusieurs fois aux USA, quand j'étais plus jeune, à New York et Los Angeles, et j'ai été impressionné par ce pays, et il était clair pour moi que je vivrais là bas une fois adulte. Mon rêve serait de devenir acteur, et si cette chose se révèle impossible, je veux au moins pouvoir vivre à LA.
Je regrette d'avoir fait l'erreur (ou pas finalement) de m'être accordé une sécurité en décrochant mon diplôme d'abord avant d'envisager quoique se soit. Maintenant que j'ai fini, je commence sérieusement à vouloir préparer mon expatriation.
J'ai plein de question, et en attendant que ça devienne plus concret, je viens vers vous en espérant que vous pourrez y répondre :
Déjà, quel est le budget à bloquer pour pouvoir dans un premier temps partir, et ensuite pouvoir rester au moins quelques mois ?
Y a t il une meilleur periode pour partir dans l'année ?
Avez-vous des plans pour pouvoir trouver un logement ?
Ce sont les premières question qui me vienne à l'esprit j'en ajouterai peut-être, si vous avez des recommandations ou autres conseils, merci de m'en faire part.
Pour le budget, ça dépend de quel style de vie tu veux avoir 😉
Pour la période, je ne serai pas dire mais je te dirai d'éviter l'été car les prix seront plus élevés. Pour ma part, je suis parti 2 mois au sud-ouest des USA en mai-juin et j'ai bien aimé.
Pour les logements, il y a les auberges de jeunesse qui ne sont pas trop cher mais tu peux y rester qu'1 mois maximum si mes souvenirs sont bon.
Ensuite, intéresse toi au visa. Pour y aller en touriste moins de 3 mois, tu as juste besoin de l'ESTA, c'est plutôt facile à avoir mais tu n'as pas le droit de travailler.
Pour le visa de travail, tu peux laisser tomber le H1B. Le visa J-1 peut être pas mal, mais c'est un visa pour stage ou travail d'été donc il n'est que temporaire.
Sinon, je te conseille de participer à la loterie pour la greencard. Il y a un tirage au sort tous les ans. Il y a peu de chance d'être tiré au sort mais on ne sait jamais. D'ailleurs dépêche toi, les inscriptions pour le tirage au sort sont bientôt finit 😉

Il est impossible de venir s'installer aux USA sans avoir au préalable un sponsor.
Ce sponsor peut être:
- un employeur qui après avoir respecté toute une procedure pourra ou pas te faire obtenir un visa de travail.
- une personne de ta famille deja installée sur le territoire Américain. Cette personne peut être le conjoint ou des parents famille immédiats (pères, mere, frère ou soeur), après si les liens de parentes sont trop loin c'est hyper long (délais d'attente peut se compter en dizaines d'années).
- une université si tu es accepté dans une université Américaine.
- aussi on peut créer sa propre entreprise Américaine qui deviendra aussi son sponsor auprès de l'immigration Américaine.
Apres il existe des situations plus rares comme celle d'être un réfugié politique (je ne pense pas qu'un Européen puisse qualifier pour être un réfugié) ou alors de jouer la loterie qui délivre environ 50000 cartes vertes par an.

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
The hectares have remained unused for years due to a lack of financial means, since the project requires what I’d call a considerable investment. As the main stakeholder, I have a minimal contribution to offer.
