Have you heard of the Yacht Club on the MSC Magnifica?

Hi there, I’m considering a cruise on this ship in the recently introduced Yacht Club category. Have any forum members tried it? What are your thoughts? Positive or negative? Which cabins should we go for—or avoid? We’re already familiar with the Yacht Clubs on the Splendida, Fantasia, Preziosa, and Divina series. We weren’t as keen on the one on the Seashore—we found it too big. Thanks in advance for your feedback! Best, Claudine

Hi Claudine,

On our last Christmas cruise, we sailed on the Magnifica. We were in a standard Fantastica Balcony cabin because a double cabin plus a single YC cabin would’ve really stretched the budget. We were invited to a YC evening for an aperitif in the forward lounge (the YC wasn’t officially open yet at that time) and another night to a meal in the YC restaurant, which is midship on Deck 7. Everything is really beautiful since the ship was refurbished so well. The YC standards are the same as on other ships, and the service during those two evenings was on par with a good YC experience. Overall, even in Fantastica, we were really happy with the service and meal quality on this ship. The YC doesn’t seem very large based on the number of tables in the dedicated restaurant.

Hi Catherine,

So nice to hear from you again on the forum. Thanks for the info and photos! I’ve looked a bit more into the decks where the Yacht Club cabins are on the Magnifica. It seems really spread out. The cabin I’ve been offered on deck 12 is very large but is in the middle of non-Yacht Club cabins. We saw this with the family cabins on deck 12 of the Fantasia series, but those were more isolated at the front. If, as you say, the dedicated restaurant is on deck 7, it’s all quite scattered.

I’m still not sure if I’ll book soon.

Just so you know, the Magnifica will be doing a world cruise in early 2027... and in Yacht Club, that’s quite a budget.

See you soon, maybe! Best, Claudine

Hi Claudine,

“Very spread out”—that’s exactly how I felt about the YC on this ship. A cabin that’s not in the YC sanctuary is a shame for the atmosphere and the cozy vibe. I wouldn’t like that either.

Also worth noting: the Butcher is only open in the evening and is located all the way at the back of the ship, past the cafeteria.

A world cruise in the YC shouldn’t be too bad. 😉 I’ll check out the budget just out of curiosity. 😏

Best regards,
Catherine
