Je lis souvent les rubriques de Voyage Forum et aujourd'hui j'ai envie de partager quelque chose avec vous. Je ne suis pas grande voyageuse, ni grande aventurière. Mais je termine cette année mes études, et j'ai une envie de bouger. Je sens que si je ne bouge pas, si je n'essaie pas de vivre au moins un an à l'étranger, et bien je n'essayerai jamais par la suite. Mais voila, meme si je sais ou trouver les informations, que je sais qu'il existe des visa de travail d'un an pour le canada (pays que j'aimerai un jour visiter), l'australie, je me demande ce que ca rapporte comme expériences de partir comme ca? Est ce qu'on part pour découvrir un autre pays et une autre culture, ou est ce qu'on se lance juste un défi ? Mais quand on est parti, comment faire pour rencontrer du monde, surtout lorsqu'on pense rester juste un an?? si certaines personnes ont partagé mes doutes et ont eu le courage de partir, peut etre que vos conseils me seront plus qu'utiles.
On part pour l'aventure. Pour le plaisir de la découverte. Nouveaux lieux, nouvelle culture, nouvelles personnes, nouvelles sorties, nouvelles activités. Pour bouger. Pour se bouger. Pour vivre plus intensément. Parce qu'on a qu'une vie :)
Vu que tu te poses la question, si finalement tu ne pars pas, tu risques de toujours te demander si tu n'as pas raté le coche. Doutes et regrets. Si tu le fais, soit tu te diras ensuite que c'est terminé et que tu sais pourquoi tu préfères chez toi (car c'est pas facile de tout quitter, même pour un an); soit tu seras accro et tu ne pourras plus faire autrement que de bouger encore; soit encore tu auras fondu pour le nouveau pays découvert et tu ne le quitteras plus. Peu importe, mais à mon avis n'hésite pas: c'est plus facile quand on est jeune, ça donne une expérience capitale sur le CV (même en dehors de l'anglais), ça ouvre les horizons. Le voyage commence bien avant la départ, à partir du moment où tu le décides: il faut tout faire, se renseigner, se bouger, monter des dossiers, faire des recherches, réserver billets, logement, chercher des contacts, etc
C'est clair que tu laisses ta vie pépère de côté, mais tu as tout le temps d'y revenir si elle te manque!
Quant à rencontrer du monde, c'est pas compliqué: en dehors du fait que j'imagine que tu chercheras un job (ce qui fait forcément faire des connaissances), inscription dans des clubs de sport ou autres groupes de musique ou je ne sais quels clubs répondant à tes goûts, bénévolat, ...
Et souviens toi d'une chose: la chance sourit aux audacieux.

Votre réponse et vos idées me plaisent beaucoup, moi aussi j’ai les mêmes craintes que zibouuu, et je ne suis pas une grande voyageuse, ni grande aventurière, j’ai voyagé une seule fois en Pologne , pour 15 jours, sa capitale Varsovie est une très belle ville ou il y a des gens très civilisés et sympathiques, cette fois ci, je ne voudrais pas voyager pour une petite période , mais j’ai envie de recommencer une nouvelle vie dans un nouveau pays, j’aime découvrir des autres cultures , voir une autre mode de vie , des nouvelles personnes, alors j’ai choisi le Québec, j’ai entamer ses procédures d’immigration et je suis en attente d’une entrevue au mois de novembre 2010
J’ai suffisamment d’expérience en comptabilité , j’ai un diplôme de technicien supérieur en gestion et un diplôme professionnelle en comptabilité, je suis stable dans mon travail à Tunis, mais le problème ce que le coût de la vie est très élèves.
Au Québec , il y a aussi un problème de non reconnaissance de nos diplômes les maghrébins ,

Ironiquement, il est en fait plus facile de bouger que de rester en France.
Quand tu pars a l'etranger tu est entraine dans une dynamique ( nouvelle langue, nouvelle culture, arrivee avec peu de biens materiels, etc) alors que dans les pays d' Europe c'est la tradition qui domine et que le changement (le vrai) ne se fera certainement pas de ton vivant !
De plus a l'age de 20 ans en fonctions des tes origines ethniques, sociales, de ta scolarite et de ton compte en banque, pas mal de choses sont deja bien verouillees alors que d'autres pays peuvent offrir plus de latitude ( dans les 2 sens d'ailleurs).
On peut etre ne en France mais etre plus a l'aise dans un environnement anglo-sazon ou asiatique ou africain.
C'est tout l'interet de faire un tour du monde comme le font les Anglais afin de mieux se connaitre et faire des choix d'orientation plus reflechis.
D'ailleurs de plus en plus d'anglo-saxons choissisent de plus aller a l'universite mais de profiter au max des visas vacances tant qu'ils en ont l'age pour voyager en se formant a differents metiers plutot que de s'endetter pour des etudes barbantes.
La meme chose est difficilement envisageable dans un contexte francais ou le sacro-saint diplome est un sesame indispensable et que pas mal d'ecoles post-bac ont des limites d'age pour y entrer.
Pour x raisons (culturelles, economiques, etc) faire la meme chose en France est difficile (au mieux) et souvent mal vu (l'honnete homme se doit de ne pas perdre de temps et d'enchainer) au risque de faire des etudes ou trouver un boulot qui le barbe.
oui enfin en même temps, les anglosaxons voyagent un an en tour du monde, c'est vrai, puis pour la plupart ils rentrent, entrent dans le moule et ne font plus rien de très excentrique. Leur exemple n'est donc pas déterminant.

Je ne peux pas répondre pour votre cas particulier bien sur, mais en ce qui me concerne, j'ai 38 ans aussi, une bonne expérience aussi, et j'ai effectivement décidé que ça valait le coup d'immigrer au Canada pour changer de vie 🙂 sauf que moi j'ai choisi Vancouver. Je pense que si on est conscient du risque qu'on prend, il est déjà moindre car on cherche à le gérer.

En lisant vos commentaires, et ceux des autres topics, je me rends compte qu'un départ réussi est rarement un départ sur un coup de tête. Il faut commencer par se renseigner sur le pays en question, suivre le démarches, et souvent partir avec un compte garni pour s'assurer les premières semaines lors de notre arrivée à l'étranger. Il faut que cela soit réfléchi comme départ. La première étape sera peut être de remplir les conditions pour immigrer à l'étranger, meme pour un an!

Si tu as l'envie de voyager, il faut te donner les moyens d'essayer! Et puis, dans le pire des cas, si tu penses que ça ne te convient pas, tu reviens...

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
The hectares have remained unused for years due to a lack of financial means, since the project requires what I’d call a considerable investment. As the main stakeholder, I have a minimal contribution to offer.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
