MSC Orchestra cruise from October 11 to 22. 8 travelers, 7 got sick with 2 bedridden for 2 days, no port stops, no restaurants, and a medical center that told us our COVID and flu tests were negative—but in hindsight, without showing us the results. When we got back, we all went to see a French doctor (plus 100 € for the onboard consultation and medication costs), and we’re still sick more than a week later. I’d like to share my experience with other cruisers to see if they’ve been ill too, because I doubt the legitimacy and honesty of MSC’s staff. This was our 5th MSC cruise, and we were disappointed by the drop in restaurant quality and the same old entertainment—same groups at the same bars. I think this’ll be our last MSC cruise, and I’m looking forward to hearing about other companies’ experiences.

Hi, We took this cruise the week before you did. There were two couples in our group, and three out of four of us got sick. This cruise was a total disaster—even though we always sail with MSC. There was trash in the elevators and hallways. We’re used to eating at the second seating, so we’d go down at 6:30 PM for drinks before the show, which starts at 7:30 PM. It was impossible to get served—only 3 times in 11 days!! At the restaurant, our friend was served their main course with their appetizer. My partner had already finished dessert when they brought out *another* main course for them... Never again on this ship. We reported our feedback to CUSTOMER, and their response? A 50 € credit to spend on our next cruise—LOL, they can keep it. I’m still loyal to MSC; I’ll see how the next cruise goes. It’s just this ship that’s failing (the staff, mostly).

Hello, It’s “reassuring” to know that other cruisers, used to MSC like us, also come back disappointed from their 10-day cruise (with the budget we put into it for that length...). Their onboard credit, as you said lol, is always a nightmare to get displayed on our account—I spent over half an hour at reception just to get my 100 € onboard credit after our second-to-last Seaview cruise in September 2022, where we were dumped off like animals in Barcelona two days before the end of our cruise to Marseille... We were at the Hibiscus restaurant and didn’t have any service issues—on the contrary, the staff really took great care of us. But at the buffet on deck 13 and in the bars, I agree with you that you really had to be patient to get served... So for me, MSC is over. I’ll use this forum to choose another cruise line. MSC is done, and I’m angry about these ships where the AC and germs are always running at full blast... for a hefty medical bill when you leave the ship. Thanks for sharing your experience.
