Nous sommes allés, mon amie et moi, au Barcelo du 23 au 30 décembre 2010.Étant tous deux agés de 52 ans, nous cherchions principalement la tranquilité pour se reposer.
Ayant été au Melia Cayo Santa Maria en mars 2010, nous connaissions un petit peu le Cayo et avions vu de l'extérieur le Barcelo.Nous savions en quelque sorte à quoi s'attendre.
Cuba étant un peu risqué en décembre, ça je m'y attendais.Nous avons eu 3 1/2 journées de beau temps (26 à 28 degrés C) sur une plage magnifique de sable fin, sans aucun caillou, d'eaux translucides, de couleur turquoise.La plage est par contre un peu étroite comparée à celle du Mélia Cayo Santa Maria, mais super belle, et nous avons fait de très longues marches des deux côtés de celle-ci.
Nous avons été localisé dans la section COLONIAL (bâtiments jaunes, ouverture déc.2009 je crois).Notre chambre était très bien, propre, mini-frigo rempli à tous les jours, coffret de sureté gratuit, eau chaude sans problème pour la douche.Notre chambre était au 3e étage, côté jardin comme nous le désirions (pas de vue splendide, mais nous voulions la tranquilité et nous l'avons eu ! Le côté piscine était plus bruyant car il y avait de l'animation aux piscines de 10h00 à 17h00.
La section COLONIAL était propre car récente, avec une belle végétation malgré le jeune âge du site.Le lobby est vaste et accueillant avec un joli bar.Tous les employés sont respectueux et gentils, malgré le fait que souvent, ils étaient débordés de travail.
Oui, ça se gâte au buffet principal...comme s'est souvent le cas.Les déjeuners sont très corrects, par contre, au diner et au souper, malgré la variété des plats, ça laisse vraiment à désirer.Pour le Grill Ancon, c'est vraiment pas terrible ! Nous avons été qu'à un seul restaurant à la carte, soit le SEAFOOD qui était très bien.Les jeunes enfants et les adolescents ne trouvent pas leur compte côté nourriture au Barcelo.
Somme toute, pour le bas prix payé pour notre séjour, nous avons été très satisfaits.Mais si nous aurions payé le "prix régulier", nous n'aurions pas été satisfaits.Le Melia Cayo Santa Maria où nous avons séjourné en mars 2010 était de beaucoup supérieur, et une valeur sûre au Cayo est fort probabalement le Melia Las Dunas que nous n'avons pas visité, mais dont nous avons entendu parler de manière élogieuse à de maintes reprises.
je reviens du barcello cayo de Santa Clara et je suis parfaitement en accord avec rakkoon autant le positif que le négatif.J' étais au bloc 21 du 24 dec. au 31dec 2011. Le buffet est médiocre, sauf le matin qui est très bien. Aucune variété c' est toujours la même chose. Malheureusement j'ai vu un touriste fouiller dans la viande froide avec sa main pour se servir et un autre goûter à la sauce à salade avec son doigt avant de choisir😠 En Mars dernier nous étions au Sol cayo pas très loin du barcello et c'était mieux, plus petit et mieux géré mais très vieux, (manque d'eau chaude, dégat d'eau dans la salle de bain etc.) beaucoup d'inconvénients dont on pourait se passer en vacances.Le personnel est fantastique partout où nous sommes allés , c'est pour cette raison que nous retournerons surement à Cuba 😉

Au buffet trop de monde et toujours la même chose .... trop de monde dans les même plats ... buffet mal disposer pour la quantité de personne a cette hotel ... déjeuner très bien mais pour le reste .... site et chambre très propre ... nous étions au bloc 30 vue sur mer et je crois que c'est un des meilleurs... A la salle de spectacle le bar pas trop fort .... des gens a plein et un seul barman ... ouf attention a l'attente ....
Le personnel était très gentil... mais pas suffisant pour la grandeur du site ....
Ce qui a été très désagréable pour moi était la senteur DU SOUFFE 😕 le matin au bord de la plage ... ouf
En tout k nous c'est définitif nous ne retournerons plus a cette endroit !!
Le méla las dunas avait été mieux en 2008 .... 😉

At all-inclusive resorts, base salaries are extremely low for 10- to 12-hour workdays. Tips aren’t just a little extra—they often make up half of these families’ income.
Personally, I always prepare an envelope with euro bills in different denominations before I leave (they exchange them easily on-site). Here’s my method:
🛏️ For housekeeping: I leave a bill on the pillow every morning since schedules rotate daily.
🍽️ For servers: I always sit at the same table. At the end of the trip, I give an envelope to each server who took care of us daily.
🎉 For entertainment: I set aside an envelope for the animator who put in the most effort and really touched me.
The package covers the hotel, but our tips help support the people who make our vacations magical. Don’t forget to budget for this in cash when you pack!

I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. 3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.
