En regardant sur le site key2persia pour obtenir l'invitation nécessaire à l'obtention du visa iranien, j'ai vu qu'ils demandaient un itinéraire très détaillé (jour par jour, avec lieu de résidence). La question de savoir si cette déclaration est obligatoire ou pas est assez ambigüe (on lit que oui, puis que non, et enfin que oui).
Recommendez-vous de passer par ce site pour obtenir l'invitation? Sont-ils efficaces? Et surtout, comment remplissez vous cette déclaration? Je n'ai pour l'instant qu'une idée extrêmement floue de mon itinéraire et absolument aucune idée des endroits où je passerai la nuit. Peut-on déclarer n'importe quoi? Quelles sont les conséquences potentielles si on ne suit pas l'itinéraire déclaré?
Si je mets 14 jours à Téhéran dans le même hôtel (où je n'irai pas) par exemple, en sachant que ce n'est pas ce que je ferai, ça peut poser problème?
J'ai fait appel à leur services l'année dernière et ils ont été très efficace, pour l'itinéraire, j'avais rempli qq chose de très approximatif... et de toute façon comme cela n'apparaît pas sur ton visa, il me parait vraiment difficile pour qui que ce soit de contrôler ce que tu as pu déclarer avant de partir !!!
j'ai appelé l'ambassade service des visas : il m'ont dit qu'on pouvait obtenir( avec un passeport français ) un visa de 15 jours directement à l'aéroport de teheran !

Even U.S. nationals would enjoy the streamlined entry procedure, although the official said border police would continue to fingerprint Americans on arrival - a policy put in place in retaliation against U.S. immigration procedures.
The decree said the new measure was aimed at "boosting and facilitating tourist visits."
Last month Iran's state-run Tourism Development Company adopted a new slogan - "Iran, the Land of Civilization and Friendship" - to help lure more tourists.
Iran has had a tough time attracting foreign tourists since the 1979 Islamic revolution, despite offering breathtaking architectural wonders and stunning desert and mountain scenery.
Small specialist tour groups still visit, but many tourists are deterred from traveling to a country which the U.S. describes as "evil" and at the center of an international crisis over its nuclear program.
The number of tourists visiting Iran, including Shiite pilgrims, is estimated by industry sources at 700, 000 a year.

Je viens de regarder le site de l'ambassade d'Iran en France, même si ce n'est pas chez eux que j'aurais fait ma demande, et en effet, je ne trouve aucune trace du recours obligatoire à une agence de voyage iranienne. Ca semble plutôt encourageant.

Voilà, j'ai appelé l'Ambassade d'Iran à Pékin (le Consulat de Shanghai ne répondait pas) et il ressort que:
ils sont sympas! C'est la première fois que je téléphone à un service de visas et que la personne me répond de manière précise et sans aucune aggressivité. Un bon point pour eux donc.
Sur le visa à l'aéroport:
ils me confirment qu'on peut avoir un visa de 7 jours à l'aéroport. C'est certain. ce visa n'est pas renouvelable sur place. ils pensent qu'il faut présenter le billet retour pour avoir ce visa ils ont entendu parler du visa de 15 jours à l'aéroport mais n'en sont pas sûrs. D'après eux il n'y a aucune règle écrite, et il faut donc contacter l'aéroport pour en avoir la confirmation (je sens que je vais m'amuser si j'essaie d'appeler l'aéroport Khomeiny 🙂 )
Sur les demandes de visa auprès des consulats:
c'est compliqué! (c'est pas moi qui le dit, c'est eux) c'est "l'ancien" système qui m'a été décrit (agence de voyage qui fait la demande auprès du Ministère et informe le consulat) ils refusent les demandes de visa directes (c'est-à-dire sans la confirmation du Ministère) je lui ai parlé de français qui avaient pu avoir directement leur visa en France, mais il m'a dit que le système en deux temps était une politique "worldwide". Bizarre donc.
Si tu es sur de faire l'aller retour en avion, ne te fais pas de soucis, je suis sur que c'est 15 jours et meme renouvelable ....je suppose. N'attends plus.

Il est hautement probable qu'on puisse effectivement obtenir le visa de 15 jours à l'aéroport, et que celui-ci est renouvelable jusqu'à 45 jours une fois dans le pays! Mais en raison des congés nationaux, ils ne peuvent pas vérifier l'info auprès de qui de droit pour l'instant et leur réponse n'est donc pas sûre à 100%.
Pour l'itineraire, nous en avions donné un approximatif et nous ne l'avons pas suivi. Je précise que nous voyageons avec un Land Rover aménagé et que nous ne faisons que des bivouacs (sauf les 3 nuits obligatoires de l'époque).

je viens de m acheter un velo (aujourd hui) en Nouvelle Zelande et vais donc pouvoir prendre la route a partir de Teheran pour rentrer en France.
Si je peux effectivement etendre le visa, ca me permettra d aller visiter Isfahan qui me fait tant rever.
Je vais donc me ballader un peu ici avant d attaquer la montagne iranienne (je ne suis pas cycliste mais ai juste envie de voyager un peu differement).

Que vous-ont-ils dit exactement chez irantravelingcenter? Ils m'ont renvoyé un mail la semaine dernière pour me dire qu'ils n'avaient pas encore eu confirmation de l'information.
D'après ce que je lis et entends à droite à gauche, le recours à une agence pour le visa n'est plus vraiment indispensable, sauf si on veut avoir un visa de longue durée, et si on réside dans un pays où le consulat iranien est de la vieille école.
Juste une question pratique qui n'a rien à voir avec le visa mais qui titille ma curiosité: comment se rend-on de Dubai en Iran avec une jeep? Il y a des ferries? Parce que la frontière terrestre, hum, quand on voit le pays qui fait frontière... 🏴☠️
En fait c'est justement pour ca qu'on ecrivait a Irantravelingcenter, a propos des ferries entre les Emirats et l'Iran, et il y en a qui prenent les voitures.

J ai assez peu d info a te donner : l aeroport ou je suis arrive est le nouvel aeroport `aeroport Khomeni`.
Le visa que j ai obtenu est le seul qu ils aient voulu me donner a l aeroport. Je n ai pas fait attention mais il est possible que ce soit un simple visa de transit (je n ai pas mon passeport sur moi, l hotel a souhaite le conserver), mais pourrai te l indiquer.
precedement, ils m ont dit que je pouvais l etendre (contrairement a ce qui est ecrit). Moi, je suis a velo et j ai prefere roule tout de suite pour atteindre la frontiere turque plutot que de tenter l extention.
Pour l extention, plusieurs personnes m ont dit qu il fallait absoluement eviter Teheran et priviligier les villes les plus petites.
J ai passe une semaine fabuleuse dans ce pays magique.
J ai traverse des paysages incroyables (en particulier entre Zanjan et Takab) et ete accueili royalement par les iraniens.
J ai vu tres tres peu de choses du pays : j ai maintenant l obligation de revenir.

Au niveau du visa, je n'ai eu aucun problème en passant directement par le consulat, aucun besoin d'une quelconque agence externe pour l'avoir. Il me reste un mois pour améliorer mon persan et bien connaitre les us et coutumes.
J'ai fait une demande de visa avec mon mari (je suis francaise, il est americain) a l'ambassade iranienne au Yemen, et la demande a apparemment ete rejetee. Il nous faut un sponsor sur place, ou esperer que ca passe a l'aeroport. Il semblerait que les citoyens US ne soient pas concernes par les simplifications bureaucratiques recentes, bien au contraire... Il est tellement difficile d'avoir des informations sures. Notre billet est au depart de Dubai le 25 Mai, je sens que ca va etre stressant. Quelqu'un a-t-il des infos sur le passage par l'ile de Kish pour faciliter les visas?

Grosse deception en ce qui concerne le visa, car je confirme que 7 jours est le maximum qu'on puisse obtenir. Le type pas sympa de l'aeroport Khomeiny m'a en plus dit qu'il est non renouvelable.
Le pire c'est que quand je lui ai demande si 15 jours etaient possibles (avec billet d'avion a l'appui), il m'a dit ok. Mais le temps qu'il prepare le visa, il avait change d'avis puisque c'est devenu 7 jours et pas un de plus. Quand je lui ai demande comment je ferais puisque mon billet retour etait pour deux semaines plus tard, il n'a su que dire: "quittez le pays avant. Et faites attention!"
Pendant ce temps, le poste de television etait allume et Ahmadinedjad donnait une conference de presse. Ca l'a peut etre excite.
On m'a ensuite dit qu'a Shiraz, je pourrais peut etre etendre mon visa malgre l'interdiction de principe. Mais ce n'est pas sur du tout. Une chtite galere en perspective donc.
Le type de l'aeroport m'a dit que les visas de 15 jours seraient peut etre disponibles dans deux ou trois semaines...
Autre detail: munissez vous de dollars car si vous payez en euros, la parite sera de 1 dollar = 1 euro!!!

Ca y est, j'ai mon extension. La police de Shiraz me l'a accordee.
Attention a un point important: j'ai demande une rallonge d'une semaine et c'est effectivement ce qui m'a ete accorde.
Mais nous sommes aujourd'hui le 6 et mon visa d'origine devait expirer demain (le 7). Avec la rallonge d'une semaine il est valide jusqu'au 13 et non pas jusqu'au 14. Mon vol retour etant le 13, ca ne me derange pas, mais a un jour pres, j'aurais pu me faire pieger.

Attention, le visa de 15 jours dont parlait msalari n'est pas un visa délivré par les consulats, mais par les services de l'immigration dans les aéroports internationaux. Quand j'y suis allé il y a un mois et demi, ces visas n'étaient d'ailleurs pas de 15 jours mais de seulement 7. Ca a pu changer depuis (et si certains peuvent en témoigner, ça m'intéresserait). En revanche, les postes frontière terrestres ne donnaient pas de tels visas, et on devait donc en principe se faire refouler si on arrivait sans visa. Ca, je ne crois pas que ça devait changer à court terme. Mais là aussi, toute information est la bienvenue.
En ce qui concerne les consulats, la procédure a été simplifiée dans certaines ambassades et consulats (à Paris, mais pas en Chine par exemple) et j'ignore ce qu'il en est à Bakou. Mais s'ils t'accordent un visa, je pense que tu n'auras aucun problème à avoir 15 jours.
Tu peux obtenir un visa d'une semaine à l'arrivée à l'aéroport si : tu es d'une nationalité qui le permet... tu as un billet retour - par avion - dans moins d'une semaine... tu clames haut et fort que tu veux un visa de Tourisme et que tu viens pour ce motif.
ah ils demandent un billet d'avion retour maintenant? C'était pas comment ça il y a un an, et ça risque de compliquer la vie de tous ceux qui pensaient étendre la durée de validité de leur visa une fois dans le pays.
Officiellement il faut repartir par les airs, pas forcément par le même aéroport, mais par les airs ; certains sont ressortis pas la terre, peut-être par la mer, mais dans ce cas il faut compter sur la mansuétude du l'agent ; ça finit sûrement par passer, mais c'est un tantinet risqué.
Oui, le billet retour ou continuation est la seule chose qui leur importe vraiment, en fait ; ils font semble-t-il parfois les curieux pour la réservation d'hôtel, mais ce n'est pas obligatoire.
Il doit y avoir moins de 7 jours pleins entre l'arrivée et le départ ; il y aurait blocage si tu laissais croire que tu viens pour autre chose que du tourisme pur et dur ; ne dis pas que tu connais quelqu'un si c'est le cas.
Prévois une photo d'identité mais il ne la prennent pas en général, ils scannent le passeport.
La procédure s'appelle 721-16000, et date du 25 juillet 2005.
Attention à l'embarquement ; le personnel au sol à Paris brille rarement par sa compétence, et il faudra peut-être que tu imposes tes vues sur l'obtention du visa à l'aéroport. Tu prends quelle compagnie ?
Parce que si c'est Emirates tu arrives à Khomeini Internl et non à Merhabad et donc tu es plus loin de la ville...
Pour le visa, ça ne change rien ; attention quand même aux 7 jours calculés précisément.

I’ll explain my situation.
Unfortunately, I lost my passport, and I only realized it two weeks before my departure for a humanitarian mission in Libya. I’m a nurse, and this mission really means a lot to me.
First, I applied for an emergency passport, but it was denied by the Val-d'Oise prefecture on the grounds that a planned humanitarian mission wasn’t considered an urgent reason.
So, I submitted a biometric passport application on July 20th. Since then, the tracking has been stuck, and the town hall can’t (or won’t) give me any clear information. Every time I call, I get a different story. The last update I received was that the passport had been produced since July 23rd with a status of "about to be shipped," but nothing since then.
I’ve managed to push my departure back to next Tuesday at the latest, but I’m starting to really panic.
Have any of you submitted an application around July 20th, especially in Val-d'Oise (95)? How long did you wait between the passport being produced and it being available at the town hall? Is it normal for this step to take this long?
This mission means so much to me. I had everything organized, and I’m also supposed to attend a friend’s wedding right after near the border.

The information I’ve found about whether an international permit is required is contradictory. Some sources say you need one, others say you don’t.
Could anyone let me know if an international driver’s permit is necessary to rent a car in Australia (Perth), or if a French license is enough for a 7-day rental?
I’m a bit embarrassed because I need to travel to Quebec from February 27th to March 13th. I’m a regular visitor to Canada—this will be my 10th trip since 1997, plus a year as a permanent resident (2000–2001) and a cross-country run from Vancouver to Halifax in 2011. So, I’m definitely not a terrorist!
But since our last trip in July 2015, they’ve introduced this eTA thing. Seems more like a way to make money than to actually secure Canada, if you ask me, but anyway, that’s not the point.
I applied for an eTA for myself, my wife, and our two kids. They all got approved within hours, but not me! I was asked to create a GC key and then an IRCC account, which I did. Normally, you get news within 72 hours, but since Monday, January 15th, nothing!
In the "message" section of the account, it says "explanation letter (required)" with a deadline of January 25th, but I can’t find any explanation anywhere—despite searching the Canadian government website and Google. No links, nothing!
I’ve emailed them but haven’t heard back yet. I’m thinking of calling the Canadian embassy in Paris tomorrow. Even though I’m not stressing yet, it’d be a bummer if everyone else got to go without me!

I’ve tried my hotel, the Lotte Hotel (which is well-known in Seoul), the airport—basically, I’ve entered at least 20 addresses, all rejected....
So, to anyone who’s successfully gotten the authorization, could you tell me which address you used to get that "elusive" approval?...

I’m planning a trip from France to Alberta/British Columbia, and I’m unsure about which bank card to use for the security deposit with the rental company (I’m thinking of going with AVIS).
I contacted Avis Canada, and they told me a credit card is absolutely required. I asked my bank for a credit card (a *real* credit card), but they only offered me a deferred debit card.
My question: For a rental with Avis Canada, is a Gold International Mastercard deferred debit card usable for the security deposit needed to finalize the rental? Is the "CREDIT" label enough? (Some cards say "CREDIT" and others say "CARTE DE CREDIT"—seems minor, but it’s actually a big deal in how the card works.)
I’ve seen conflicting info everywhere I look... My bank says it’s *usually* okay (the deferred debit card), while Avis Canada insists it *must* be a credit card, not debit—even when I mention the deferred debit card.
I know the whole credit card concept is already confusing, and on top of that, some sites say a deferred debit card counts as a credit card, while others say it doesn’t.

I bought a one-way flight (Ryanair) and a return flight (EasyJet) to spend a week in Morocco in April.
My passport expires 3 weeks after the return date.
Some websites say the passport must be valid for 3 months at the time of entry.
However, it will still be valid both on entry and return, but its validity will only be 1 month at the time of entry (and 3 weeks on the return date, everything prepaid).
It's an individual family trip.
The consulate can't give me an answer—they're still looking into it (really!)
Last year, we stayed for 3 months in Thailand, north of Khao Lak, and were able to benefit from the 2-month visa exemption, renewable for one month by going to Takua Pa to validate a 1-month extension (1,900 baht).
This year, it’s a disaster for us—not only were we planning a 4-month stay, adding a visa run in between (which some say is quite risky), but the law is apparently changing in the coming months with the return of the 1-month exemption (plus the usual 1-month option). So, we looked into applying for a 6-month multiple-entry visa, allowing a maximum of 60 consecutive days in Thailand. However, I can’t find anywhere the minimum time required outside Thailand between two stays—do any of you have an idea?

We’ll soon be moving to Madagascar long-term.
As a French national, I need to obtain a short-stay visa that can be converted to a long-stay one. To do this, I have to send the required documents to the Madagascar embassy in Paris.
No issues with that procedure so far.
If I get this visa, once I arrive in Madagascar, I’ll need to provide the same documents to the Ministry of the Interior in Anosy. I’m trying to find an email address or website for the Ministry to check which documents I need to submit (I think they ask for additional ones).
If you have any info on this, I’d appreciate your replies.

I’d like to know if anyone has already applied for a private visa to Russia with an invitation from a Russian resident.
I traveled earlier this year with an e-visa, but since I want to stay longer, I’ll be visiting my friend who lives in eastern Russia.
For the visa application, does the invitation need to be on an official paper form issued by the Russian ministry? And most importantly, do I need to present the original for the application, or is there an electronic version that can be sent directly to the consulate in France?

I filled out the B2 form to apply for a visa, created an account on Atvis to pay the visa fees and schedule a meet-up, but every time I try to pay with my Boursobank Visa 1st card, they refuse the payment with a message telling me to check my details (address), even though everything is correct. Does anyone know why this is happening, or maybe they don’t accept Visa cards? Are you aware of this?

I’ve read that China may ask for proof of exit within 30 days (flight ticket or other reservation). Since we’d be leaving by land, I’m wondering how this works in practice.

Did the airline ask for an exit ticket before boarding?
Did Chinese authorities require proof upon arrival?
Is a train/bus ticket to Vietnam sufficient?
Is a cancelable or flexible reservation accepted?

My wife and I are heading to the US.
On her ticket, it only has her maiden name (e.g., Martine DUPOND).
On her passport, it’s written as Martine DUPOND épouse AVRY.
No issues for travel, I hope I did the right thing with the ticket?
Then for the ESTA, is just Martine DUPOND enough, or do I need to include the "épouse AVRY" part like on the passport?

I saw on the French Embassy in Peru’s website and the Peruvian Consulate in Paris’s site that the rule is to have a passport valid for 6 months *after the arrival date* (not the return date).
I arrive in Peru on August 13, 2019 (for about twelve days), and my passport is valid until February 16, 2020.
That’s 6 months and 3 days after my arrival date in Peru. In my opinion, I’m good to go.
But could I still be denied entry if they say I don’t cover the return date or that I’m too close to the 6-month mark?
I read on the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs website that it’s possible to apply for a temporary driving permit in China, valid for 1 month.
