Je pars très prochainement m'installer au Sénégal .
J'ai déjà récolté une partie des papiers nécessaires pour faire ma carte de résident étranger .
Mais j'aurai voulu avoir les commentaires de personne ayant fait cette démarche , si tout c'est bien passé, si il n'y a pas eu de frais supplémentaire inattendu et en combien de temps votre carte a t-elle été délivré.
J'ai conscience que chaque expérience est différente mais si je pouvais avoir une idée approximative cela m'aiderai beaucoup.
D'autant que cette démarche a pour réputation d'être longue et fastidieuse .

Il semblerait que peu de résidents fréquentent ce forum, car je vois qu'aucun résident n'a apporté son témoignage sur cette fameuse carte de résident (que l'on pourrait comparer à la belle arlésienne...).
Je ne suis pas résident (et ne le serait probablement jamais). Néanmoins, je connais bon nombre de français qui résident pourtant au Sénégal dans diverses régions. Le sujet de la carte de résident revient souvent sur la table, vu son importance, car si bon nombre ont fait la demande (certains depuis plusieurs années), aucun de ceux que je connais n'en possède une "définitive".
Si un résident forumeur à une carte, je pense que ça serait sympa de la scanner -en y cachant les civilités bien sûr- et de la mettre sur ce topic -ou un autre (sous forme d'image attachée), pour que l'arlésienne soit débusquée et que j'arrête d'être raillé quand j'apporte mon témoignage, considéré comme forcément négatif; et je ferai mon "mea culpa".
Donc tous les gens que je connais, ont fait une demande en bonne et due forme accompagnée de toutes les pièces jointes exigées. Et selon leurs explications: lors du dépôt de cette demande, on leur délivre un récépissé valable un certain temps (un an je crois me souvenir) qui vaut carte de résident provisoire, contre une somme de 75 000 cfa. Ce récépissé est accepté (ou admis) par les autorités. Au bout du délai de validité, il faut renouveler le récépissé contre...75 000 cfa. Et ainsi de suite...
FAUX : en fournissant un dossier vous versez une caution de 75 000 cfa RECUPERABLE . Effectivement le récépissé est valable de 3 à 6 mois , mais est prolongé GRATUITEMENT .
il n'y a absolument rien à payer .
Par contre il est certain que la carte définitive peut mettre plusieurs années avant d'être délivrée .J'attends la mienne depuis 3 ans mais le récépissé fait très bien l'affaire .
Ce récépissé est nécessaire si vous restez plus de 3 mois sur place, il est rare d'être contrôlé mais cela m'est déjà arrivé.
Si personne ne répond c'est parce que le sujet a été traiter à plusieurs reprises , il suffit de faire une recherche .
Il ne faut pas être aussi péremptoire: j'ai dit par avance que je ferai mon "mea culpa"...
Je ne vois pas en quoi j'ai "FAUX": pour l'instant, j'ai raison sur (presque) toute la ligne, sauf : que j'aurai du être encore plus incisif (ou négatif), si j'avais su anticiper une réaction comme la tienne qui vient bien mal à propos, quand tu précises que le renouvellement est (THEORIQUEMENT) gratuit, sauf que dans la réalité et pour ne pas passer la journée à poireauter, si on ne répond pas à l'oeillade interrogative du fonctionnaire avec un coup de 75 000, on peut attendre un peu, longtemps et même être obligé de revenir le lendemain, ou encore le surlendemain. Le "gratuit" finit par couter cher.
Si je ne me souvenais plus bien de la durée du récépissé (je l'ai marqué), tu le précises: c'est un renseignement plus intéressant que celui faisant appel à ma mémoire défaillante.
C'est donc sympa de renouveler ce que je viens d'écrire au dessus encore plus souvent, surtout quand on se trouve en France au moment de sa péremption; et ça j'ai vu: il faut recommencer tout le dossier.(si on va renouveler avec un récépissé périmé).
Comme tu précises le nombre d'années que tu attends (3). Mais comme j'ai dit que je connais "bon nombre" (de personnes), j'ai mis "plusieurs années" parce que j'en connais qui attendent depuis 5 ans, alors que d'autres, ça fait un peu moins (2, 3, 4..). Mais ça ne change pas la finalité: personne ne l'a et le récépissé est accepté (ou admis) sans problèmes par les autorités comme tu le confirmes d'ailleurs.
Enfin, Quand tu obtiendra ta carte de résident, tu serais sympa de confirmer que tu as "Récupéré" ta caution. 🏴☠️
Parce que les cautions dans d'autres domaines: vu "l'ancienneté " du dossier, la perte du cahier d'encaissement, la perte du reçu (par le résident), le changement de fonctionnaire, le congé du fonctionnaire, le manque de fonds "présentement" disponibles...ben, c'est pas gagné d'avance.🤪

Bon si je comprend bien , c'est assez chiant de faire ce papier je vais peut-être m'abstenir de le faire alors et je passerai une frontière même si ils n'aiment pas trop ça . Moi j'aime pas me battre avec l'administration encore moins avec la sénégalaise c'est une horreur on sais jamais si il va nous prendre une rallonge pour x raison sans justificatif moi ça me met mal à l'aise .

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
