Je connais assez bien Mada où j'ai de la famille. J'y vais 2 fois par an depuis plusieurs années et je m'y sens toujours plutôt mal, et aussi déplacé.
Les chiffres sont variables selon les études.
Les plus pessimistes sont d'une équipe d'étudiants pourtant malgaches. L'Unesco donne les chiffres suivants :
Plus de 50% des enfants ne fréquenteront pas l'école primaire ou seulement 2 ou 3 ans Environ 75% de la population souffre de malnutrition, (et sont sous le seuil de pauvreté) L'espérance de vie qui a régressé depuis 10 ans, se situe en moyenne à 52 ans avec une mortalité infantile (avant 1 an) de 12%. Les soins sont peu ou pas dispensés aux pauvres (je l'ai constaté).
Les restaurants et hôtels ne sont fréquentés que par des blancs, à quelques exceptions près (Indiens par exemple).
La prostitution des mineures est considérable. Les cartes d'identité falsifiées ajoutent 3 ou 4 ans aux filles qui veulent aller dans les boîtes rencontrer des "amis". Ces derniers ont l'âge de leur père ou grand-père. Les filles savent qu'elle pourront en profiter quelques années seulement, les bons touristes ou résidents n'aimant que la chair fraîche...
N'est-ce pas sordide ?

Oui, la condition de vie est parfois plus sordide que celle que tu décris.
Bien qu’il y a un léger mieux en ce qui concerne la scolarisation, moins de 20 % des élèves passent le seuil du passage au CE1
La prostitution bat son plein dans les villes essentiellement et c’est SORDIDE (le gouvernement à pris des mesures de protection pour les mineurs) mais les bateaux et charters, souvent en provenance de la Réunion déchargent encore toutes les semaines leur fétide cargaison de connards.
Je ne fréquente pas du tout les blancs, souvent bien installées dans leur confort et leur mépris de la misère ambiante et je ne voyage pas non plus en suivant le GdR à la lettre. Quand je voyage seul à Madagascar je fais des voyages très lents, presque statiques, en revenant d’année en année aux mêmes endroits pour découvrir d’autres aspects de cette population qui me fascine.
Quand je vais pour travailler (accompagnateur), le voyage est évidemment très diffèrent mais il reste quand même RESPECTUEUX, je favorise autant que c’est possible des rencontres et je leur montre l’envers du décors réservé aux touristes.
Tu vois je partage en très grande partie le constat amère que tu fais dans ton message et malgré ça je sais que avec très, très peu de moyens et beaucoup de bon sens on peut faire mettre en place des microprojets efficaces, on peut informer les femmes qui rêvent de se faire recruter par une agence de mariage ou qui cherchent par elles même de se marier avec un blanc, pour se retrouver dans une affreuse solitude en Europe ou pire glisser dans la prostitution.
Dans ce pays c’est la population qui me fascine et des petits projets (d’école) mis en place avec la population d’une région isolé qui changent et améliorent un peu la vie qui font que si j’avais la chance d’avoir une retraite ce serait avec eux que j’aurais envie de la partager.

Après avoir renforcé sa fortune en l'asseyant solidement grace au pouvoir que lui donnait la Mairie de Tana, Ravalomanana s'est reconstruit beaucoup plus qu'il n'avait dépensé pour acheter les électeurs qui lui ont donné la Présidence.
Hier encore, je lisais que le Palais de la Reine à Tana (Rova, celui qui avait brulé en 1995) allait être reconstruit pour 10 millions de $.
Bon, pour l'architecture, c'est bien.
Mais combien de dispensaires ou d'écoles ou de fermes productives pourrait-on équiper avec ce pactole (apporté par l'Unesco pour l'essentiel) ?

Ce petit coin de bonheur que tu cherches en fait ne sera pas forcément celui d'un autre tu dois bien t'en douter.
J'ai entendu des commentaires magnifiques sur la ville de SUCRE en Bolivie, de gens qui me disaient qu'ils aimeraient y rester pour y vivre. Moi j'ai adoré CUZCO au Pérou mais aussi Pondicherry en Inde où j'ai vécu 1 an.
Il ne faut pas oublier non plus que tu t'adresse à un Forum ou la moyenne d'age est bien inférieure à la nôtre (surtout à la mienne!) et que finalement on a pas tous les mêmes envies ni la même approche de ce qui est pour chacun de nous une vie sereine, heureuse et bien remplie!
Commence d'abord à te demander si tu préfèrerais la montagne ou la mer, un pays chaud ou tempéré, la langue qu'il te plairait d'entendre tous les jours, etc etc...
Autrement dit, j'ai essayé de me mettre à ta place pour te répondre et je me suis dit que c'était impossible, le choix est tellement vaste !!!

Il est triste de penser à sa retraite à 44 ans mais je comprend celà car même jeune on en a un peu ras-le-bol de ce que l'on vit en France. Et puis ce ne sera peut-être pas réellement une retraite de partir. Si tu le fais maintenant, tu pourrais créer quelque chose qui te plaise dans un coin sympa du monde et finalement travailler autant qu'avant mais ds un environnement tellement plus agréable !
Par contre si tu fais des recherches pour d'en 20 ans, c'est cause perdue à mon avis car les pays changent, évolues, le côté financier, tranquillité, géographique, peut changer du tout au tout. Ce qui s'y passe aujourd'hui peut-être très different dans 2 ans, 5 ans 10 ans....
En attendant celà te fais rêver et c'est le plus important, tant de gens se suffisent de ce qu'ils ont et s'ennuient ...
Pourquoi c'est triste de penser à sa retraite à 44 ans?
Quand j'avais environ 8 ans la maîtresse m'avait demandée ce que je voulais faire plus tard et j'avais repondu retraité.
Je lis, je prends mon temps pour voyager, pour rencontrer des gens, pour faire la cuisine, pour aimer, pour faire ce qui me plait, je vis comme un retraité et je le vis très bien.

Je viens de rentrer une nouvelle fois d'Agadir. Les lieux d'implantation ne manquent pas, mais il y a de gros choix a faire: centre ville, banlieue ou le bled? Quelles exigeances?... Je coince donc car je ne souhaite pas décider moi -même pour un projet que je voudrai collectif. Et jusqu'a présent, j'ai peu de return!!! Pourtant, plein de gens louent ou achètent là bas, mais plutôt dispersé et chacun pour soi.

I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
