Bonjour à tous, ma copine et moi envisageons de partir deux semaines dans le nord de l'Italie.
Nous avons une idée relativement précise de notre itinéraire et nous aurions besoin de votre aide (qui nous a bien servis lors de notre dernier voyage en Andalousie) pour affiner les durées de trajet et aller chercher les perles rares souvent juste à côté mais qu'on peut manquer faute d'information.
On se posait aussi les question de : 1. l'hébergement vu que d'après les guides les prix sont chers en Italie
2. le parking pour la voiture
Donc notre projet d'itinéraire est pour l'instant :
Départ de Toulouse le samedi 13 pour la région des lacs nuit du 13, 14 et 15 sur place. Suggestions pour dormir : Côme, Bellagio, quels lacs faire, combien de temps, deux jours sont assez ??
Départ le 16 au matin vers Venise (arrêt au lac de Garde ?), deux jours pour Venise donc nuits du 17, 18 et 19 à Venise. Où dormir sans se ruiner ? Mestre ?
20 au matin départ pour Bologne, journée et nuit sur place.
21 matin départ pour Florence, 3 jours à Florence donc nuits des 21, 22 et 23. Dormir en dehors de la ville et revenir en voiture ? Où garer la voiture sans payer ?
24 Sienne. Suggestions pour dormir ?
25 26 27 on aimerait aller à San Gimignano, Lucques, Pise et explorer la Toscane. Suggestions d'itinéraire en Toscane, d'endroit où dormir ?
Le 28 au soir il faut qu'on soit à Toulouse, on se posait la question d'un retour tranquille le long de la côte en s'arrêtant vers 5 terres ?
Je sais que ça fait beaucoup de questions et d'aide demandée mais c'est vrai que ce forum est super pour pallier aux insuffisances des guides.

je peux t aider avec ce que je connais (pas grand chose, j ai voyagé plus hors italie que ici)
1) Oui le lac de como il faut le visiter. j ai jamais eté la bas mais il faut le visiter c est vraiment beau( meme george clooney a une ville là bas :-)) mais je ne sai pais quels coins par contre.
2) J ai eté au Lac de garda et c est super. Je te peux conseiller la ville ou javais eté et dormie une nuit chez un b&b. la ville c est "Malcesine". vraiment special. mai c est un peu vers le nord de lac, chai pas si pour vous c est confortable d y aller. mais moi je l ai trop aimé cette minuscule ville sur le lac, vraiment wonderful et jolie. il y a aussi un beau chateaux a visiter. De cette ville il y a une funiculaire qu amene sur le "Monte Baldo", derriere la ville. La haut c est formidable, on voit tout le lac, la ville, le montagnes, ça me parait d etre sur un fjord en norvege. Sinon vous pouvez monter par la co^te et vous arreter quand vous voyez une ville jolie si vous n avez pas envie d aller jusq ua Malcesine. Les villes le plus fameuse au sud du lac sont "Peschiera del garda" et "Desenzano del Garda" plus grande mais moin originales a mon avis. Là vous pourriez trouver des info sur la zone je pense car moi j avais pris le bus a Peschiera del Garda pour aller a Malcesine
3) Juste ps loin du Lac de Garda et sur la route pour venise il y a "Verona". ça serrait dommage de pas y aller. c est vraiment une belle et romantique ville. je l avais visité moi aussi quand j etais là au lac de garda.
Pour venise je ne sais pas ou dormir dehors la ville. Mestre c est vrai peut etre la solution meilleure.
4) Pour bologne: si vous n avez pas le temp et vous devez choisir entre Bologne et Verone allez à Verone!! Franchement je ne trouve Bologne tres special ( mais c est toujours moin point de vue et j aibite proche de bologne, à Parme) en tout cas pas de comparision avec Verone. Mais off course vous etes touristes donc si vous avez le temp c est juste de visiter aussi bologne. je disais seulement en cas de choisir moi je vous conseille une autre ville comme Verone.
5) Pour la Toscana je ne sais rien. je sais seulement que Florence c est ma ville artistique preferé, super beaux. Pisa aussi il faut la visiter. ils m on parlé bien aussi de Siena et Lucca.
6) Le 5 terre? oui Absolument. j ai eté la bas plusierus fois et il faut le faire. si vous aimez les montagnes vous pouvez aussi aller d une petit ville à lautre en marchant sur les montagnes. Il y a aussi un chemin appellé "La vie de l'amour" qui lie 2 ville Riomaggiore et Manarola : http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Via_dell'Amore
Monterosso c est l une de 5 terre la plus aimé. Il y a Porfofino aussi a visiter ( une sorte se s.tropez )
7) et en fin en revenant vers la france je vous conseille de vous arreter à "Cervo" une minuscule ville medievale que me fait rever tous le jours que j y pense. c est super romantique, jolie. ça se trouve sur un rocher et de la place on voit la mer de haut et la nature. et il y a pleins de petite chemin pour monter à la ville. si ça v interesse je peux vous envoyer qlqs photo de cette ville
pour le reste j espere que vous avez compris mon francais pas tres correct!
pour ceux qui pensent que la géographie fait partie du voyage, la toscane n'est pas en italie du nord, mais en italie centrale, mais ça n'empeche pas d'y aller bien sur
pour dormir et souvent laisser sa voiture et prendre les transports en commun pour aller dans les centre-ville, une bonne solution peut etre constituée par les mobil home en camping (50 à 70 E par jour )

On est en train de réfléchir et de se dire qu'on va peut-être ne pas aller à Venise cette fois-ci et du coup prendre le temps de visiter Vérone, le lac de Garde et de s'arrêter en remontant vers la France, pourquoi pas à Cervo.
Ton francais est très bon, ne t'en fais pas, et bien meilleur que mon italien 😉.

Sinon en Toscane qu'est ce que tu nous conseilles et dans quel ordre et combien de temps par endroit ?
Si vous allez vers le Lac de Côme ou si vous remontez vers la France passez par Turin ou Milan qui sont deux très belles villes (il n'y a pas que des usines lolll) dans lesquelles il y a de superbes choses et de beaux musées.
En tout cas vous avez de la chance vous allez voir de belles choses!!!

je me permets de répondre car je suis allée en février en ligurie et en toscane. effectivement les villages comme san giminiano sont magnifiques (je conseille également volterra). nous avons dormi à florence et nous faisions route vers sienne/pise quand nous avons fait ces endroits. vous pouvez donc y faire un arrêt dans une journée, mettons 2-3 heures par exemple.
je vous conseille le retour par la côte (ligurie), bord de mer magnifique (san margherita ligure, portofino, viarregio).
j'ai beaucoup aimé sienne!! Pise également!! florence se fait merveilleusement à pied!
j'ai fait venise lors d'un précédent voyage et effectivement, mestre pour le logement ou sur la lagune, la location d'appart en nuitée est parfois très intéréssante (moins de 100 euros la nuit).

je te conseille le lac de Côme .En effet George Clooney possède une villa la-bas, mais aussi giorgio armani, berlusconi himself, la famille versace et beaucoup d'autres et ils ne sont pas là pour rien.Pour le logement je te conseille un hôtel très sympa, familial, avec une vue splendidesur le lac .Il se situe sur la corniche qui va de Côme à Bellagio .Le prix de la chambre double est de 55 Euros et c'est .....un 3étoiles .

Pour Venise, je vous suggère un hôtel sans prétention le Bartolomeo près du pont Rialto, une belle petite trouvaille à un prix plus que raisonnable. Dans votre itinéraire de la Toscane, je n'oublierais pas le village de Monterigionni, mon coup de coeur de l'Italie.

Voilà, donnez moi vos avis et surtout vos conseils pour les hôtels pas chers, bien situés ou à la campagne en B&B pas trop loin de la ville, ainsi que les parkings pas chers.
Nous sommes 3 étudiants et nous souhaiterions avec notre budget étudiant (environ 1000e par personne) visiter l'Italie en voiture en 18 jours mais nous n'avons aucune idée de l'itinéraire à emprunter. Nous voudrions faire la vallée des lacs, Florence, Rome et tout ce qui métitent intéret!!
Vérone est une jolie ville mais une journée suffit largement pour en profiter c'est assez petit. Ça permet de reporter cette journée pour faire autre chose !!
Je sais pas si ça va passer à 1000 euros par personne mais avec camping et sandwich et pas trop de musées c'est peut-être possible.
Pour l'itinéraire je vous conseille :
les lacs : 2 à 3 j, Vérone Mandoue, 1 j, Venise, 2 à 3 j, Florence 3j, Sienne San Gimignano Toscane (Volterra Pise Lucques) 3 - 4 j, Rome 4 - 5 j.

je suis retournée récemment, j'ai été à Florence toujours aussi sublime (attention important de reserver les places à l'avance pour le Musée des offices, sinon, la queue peut etre trs longue..)
et j'ai trouvé de très bonnes adresses de petit resto sympa et de d'une chambre d'hote canon, casa howard, sur un site mybestaddressbook, qui est un réseau social d'échanges de bons plans et bonnes adresses, je n'avais pas d'amis qui avaient testé cette adresses, mais j'y suis tout de même aller car le commentaire avait l'aire top etc'était en effetcanon!!! donc va voir sur ce site (www.mybestaddressbook.com) moi je suis inscrite car je trouve sympa de voir qui de mes contacts aiment telle ou telle adresse, mais en cliquant sur les onglets du haut on peut visionner sans s'inscrire je crois.. J'ai été au Lac de Come en 2006, un des lacs du nord de l'Italie. À ne pas manquer : la visite de Mennagio et Bellagio. C'est super beau et typique. Il y a là d'excellent restos. C'est tellement joli, plein de petites ruelles exotiques. Faire une excursion en bateau sur le lac, c'est pas très cher environ 10 euros/personne mais vraiment magnifique. Les photos que j'ai jointes ont été prises en septembre...Nous repartons début juin pour visiter les autres lacs (Majeur, de la Garde) ainsi que Venise et nous aussi nous ferons sensiblement le même itinéraire que vous alors... Tout comme vous nous espérons faire un beau voyage. Ciao!!!! 😉

1000 euros ca devrait le faire... Pour 2 semaines avec un pti bout de 2 ans à l'époque l'année dernière, un PL qui consomme 14 l au 100 et au départ de lyon, nous nous en sommes sorti pour 3000 euros... Nous ne nous sommes pas privé. Pizza ou pasta le soir et fruit ou légume du marché le midi + des produits locaux... Le gros budget étant l'essence environs 1000 euros... Donc en voiture ca devrait le faire et les péages aussi moins chers.
Et tous les soirs dodo sur des emplacements CC environs 10 euros la nuit....

We’re planning a short trip at the end of July to explore the legendary mountains and valleys of the Bernese Oberland: round trip from Nancy (Swiss highway vignette planned), 2 nights in a room with a small kitchen in Adelboden, then 2 nights in a hotel at the Gletscherblick in Grindelwald, both with half-board included.
Could you share some tips on the best road routes to take, as well as some walking hikes (we’re not as fit as we used to be, so nothing longer than 2-3 hours)? Maybe also 1 or 2 cable car rides—I was thinking of Oeschinensee Lake above Kandersteg and the First gondola above Grindelwald for better panoramic views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau... all while keeping it doable with our schedule. We’ve ruled out the "premium" trip up to the Jungfraujoch for this time.
I’m also guessing that paying to access Wengen or Mürren only makes sense if we’re staying there for a few days, right?

I visited the Faroe Islands in late March 2026 for about ten days. I was invited by a friend who lives near Tórshavn, so I don’t have any info on tourist accommodations or car rentals. Still, I’d like to share a few thoughts about my trip:
- Before leaving, I consulted travel guides and blogs. I was surprised by how repetitive and unoriginal the featured sites were. This leads hurried travelers to follow the same overcrowded routes, which can annoy locals. I found that all Faroese villages were interesting—they reflect the country’s identity, even without the iconic grass-roofed houses. Those are indeed harmonious and beautiful, but they feel like an exotic cliché. For activities, I loved the lively ports that keep the country running.
- I was annoyed by the paid trails in tourist spots. Locals explained that these paths cross private land, and owners are responsible for maintenance and safety. There are plenty of free trails, too—signs at the start detail their features. While not alarmist, the extreme and unpredictable weather is a key factor to consider before setting out.
- The wind’s strength really impressed me. The architecture, with doors and windows opening outward to prevent gusts from blowing roofs off, speaks to the harsh climate. Some days, relentless rain and squalls made going outside unappealing. I realized that in this country, it’s best to plan for flexible indoor days.
- Distances are relatively short. I was happy to be based near Tórshavn because it was easy to explore one or more places in a day. The roads are in great condition. In late March, diesel was 2 €. Tunnel tolls can add up (~26 € per crossing), making a fixed base less practical than I’d thought.
- Everyone agrees: the landscapes are breathtaking. Nature feels untamed here—except for the short grass, thanks to all the woolly sheep.
- The flight from Paris to the Faroe Islands (and back) was long in March—11 hours with three legs: Paris-Amsterdam, Amsterdam-Copenhagen, Copenhagen-Vágar. In bad weather, Vágar Airport can close, causing delays. During tourist season, Atlantic Airways offers a direct Paris-Faroe Islands flight, which is more comfortable and cheaper.
- I found a book recommendation in a guide that fascinated me after my trip: *Les collectionneurs d'images* by Joanes Nielsen. Through its sometimes caricatured characters, it offers a glimpse into Faroese mentalities from the 1950s to 1970s—attitudes that likely persist today.
In conclusion, I’ve traveled a lot and I’m tired of destinations that all start to look the same. The Faroe Islands were a delight—a country stunning in its landscape, climate, and culture, where tourism has barely altered its authenticity.

We’re heading to Bavaria from May 13 to 23, with a side trip to Austria.
Here’s our itinerary:

Day 3: Munich and departure for Salzburg
We’ll be staying three nights in Salzburg.

This would either be a round trip while we’re in Salzburg or on the way between Salzburg and Garmisch, but I’m guessing it’s impossible to do the drive from Salzburg to Garmisch, the Eagle’s Nest, *and* Königssee Lake all in one day.
Plus, the Alpine route between Salzburg and Garmisch seems prettier than the highway.
But honestly, I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed with the planning.
We should’ve added a stop between Salzburg and Garmisch, but the hotels are already booked.

We’re planning a trip to Finland and Norway this summer, starting in Oulu to explore Lapland, heading up to the North Cape, and then making our way down to Bergen.
This route means renting a car in Finland and dropping it off in Norway. My initial searches are showing rental rates that are... astronomical—about three times the price compared to returning it at the starting point.

I’m sharing my draft itinerary with you because I just booked our flight tickets, and I feel like it’s quite late in the season. So, I’d like to be sure about my stops before reserving the hotels. I’ll be traveling alone with my two adult children. We want to prioritize outdoor walks, avoid too many indoor visits (both for budget and preference), and not spend too much time on the road.
D1: Arrival at 9 AM in Malaga, day in Malaga and overnight stay
D2: Head straight to Nerja (1-hour drive) and spend the night there
D3: Head straight to Granada (1.5-hour drive), spend the day and night there
D4: Granada. Visit the Alhambra (Nasrid Palaces tour at 5 PM) and spend the night
D5: Head to Ronda (2.5-hour drive) and spend the night
D6: White Villages and overnight in Ronda
D7: Head straight to the Costa del Sol (e.g., Estepona), spend the day and night there
D8: Return to Malaga to catch our flight
There you go! This itinerary takes into account that we’d like to do a circuit starting from Seville in a few years. That said, it’d be a shame to miss something doable from Malaga.
Questions:
Since the Alhambra visit is only at 5 PM, and we’d already have the day to explore Granada, would arriving the day before be a mistake? Or should we skip this day and dedicate it elsewhere (Costa del Sol? Head toward Tabernas?)? The old town appeals to me, but maybe the Sacromonte neighborhood isn’t essential...
Same question for Ronda: should we dedicate a full day to it, or combine Ronda and the White Villages in one day?
Note that we love wandering around villages outside, so that might answer my question! :)
Final question: Is it better to rent the car at Malaga Airport or in the city? If we rent at the airport, we’d need a hotel with parking, which doesn’t seem easy. Or stay outside the city and park for free near the center if possible? I’ve read comments about taking a taxi to Malaga and then picking up the rental car at the airport the next morning. The taxi would really need to be affordable...

My husband and I are planning a trip to Ireland in September 2026.
We’ll be flying from Montreal to London, where we’ll spend three nights.
After that, we’ll head to Dublin for a few days and take trains to visit the main attractions.
Our ideal plan would be to choose hotels near train stations and take tours to the interesting spots.
Would 8 days in Ireland be enough for this kind of trip?
