Voilà J'ai 38 ans et actuellement je suis au chômage (CRP).... J'ai eu une proposition pour un emploi à Dubaï et l'on m'a proposé un salaire de 2000$ net par mois pour commencer. Aussi je souhaiterais savoir si ce salaire est suffisant pour vivre là-bas sachant que j'ai un enfant de 10 ans . Mon futur employeur m'a dit qu'il faut compter environ 30 000 dirhams/an pour le loyer, 1000 dirhams/mois pour la voiture et environ 25 000 dirhams/an pour l'école.
J'aimerais avoir l'avis de personnes qui vivent ou qui ont vécu à Dubaï.
Je ne cherche pas à m'enrichir financièrement .... je suis une passionnée de voyages et de culture ...
Le poste proposé correspond exactement à mes compétences mais aussi à mes attentes professionnelles ...
Je ne voudrais pas passer à côté d'une expérience aussi exceptionnelle.
Je prévois d'aller à Dubaï très prochainement pour visiter et voir comment on vit là-bas avant d'accepter la proposition.

Je ne connais pas Dubaï mais mon petit doigt me dit que l'offre qui vous est proposée est très faible pour ce pays.
D'après vos chiffres (logement, école et voiture) il ne vous reste que 490 $ mensuel soit 400 €.

Bien que les loyers sont plutôt à la baisse, 2000$ ce n'est pas beaucoup, seuls la nourriture les vêtements ne sont pas chers.
Avec un enfant c'est plus difficile car les frais de scolarité sont tres chers plus l'enfant grandit plus ce sera onéreux.
Il ne faut pas penser se faire de l'argent à Dubai c'est une erreur, tu peux toujours tenter ta chance, essaye de négocier avec ton employeur, au moins pour le loyer.
Il doit aussi te proposer un billet aller-retour pour tes vacances.

Même avec un salaire revu à la hausse, ça fait peu pour vivre à Dubai.
les loyers ont baissé mais pour payer 30000dh il faut soit vivre loin et avoir bcp de tps de transport, soit habiter dans une petite surface.
Et l'eau, l'electricité, l'assurance maladie ( les frais de santé coûtent excessivement chers à Dubai), le billet d'avion une fois par an ??? à ta charge ou celle de l'employeur ??
Le prix qu'il t'a donné pour une voiture n'est pas réaliste.
Si tu es française, la scolarité de ton enfant est prise en charge par la France mais je crois qu'il faut avancer l'argent et se faire rembourser aprés. A vérifier à l'Ambassade.
Je ne veux pas te décourager, je comprends ta motivation, je veux juste te dire que la vie à Dubai n'est pas si bon marché qu'on peut le croire, ton employeur le sait lui.

Si tu viens la semaine prochaine, tu peux peut être aller te renseigner au consulat de France pour la scolarité ( Api Tower, off Sheikh zayed rd).
Quand Sarkozy a été élu il a décidé que la scolarité des enfants français seraient gratuite, y compris à l'étranger. Dans la pratique ça dépend des contrats d'expatriation, souvent les sociétés françaises prennent l'école en charge. Si ce n'est pas le cas il faut faire une demande, je ne connais pas la procédure mais j'ai des amis français à l'etranger dont la scolarité est prise en charge par l'état.
Il est difficile d'obtenir une place en primaire à l'école française G Pompidou "d'Outh Metha" ( nom d'un quartier de Dubai) même quand on est français car l'école est petite et la demande trés importante. Par contre il ne devrait pas y avoir de probléme pour celle de " Sharjah" mais c'est bcp + loin et hyper embouteillé.
L'autre alternative c'est l'Aflec ( école franco-libanaise avec le programme français et reconnu par la France) mais je ne sais pas si la scolarité peut y être prise en charge par l'état français.
Même si les cours sont finis la plupart des écoles sont ouvertes jusqu'au 10 juillet et je te conseille d'y aller. J'ai des enfants à l'école et à part pour le lycée ça n'a pas été simple.....

l'ecole n'est pas prise en charge par l'etat, en general c'est l'employeur qui les prend en charge, attention a bien le negocier. ce qui est pris en charge est le secondaire et c'est en voie de changement. attention aussi a ne pas faire l'amalgame lycee (seconde premiere terminale) et lycee aux emirats, ttes les ecoles s'appellent lycee (de la maternelle a la terminale)
J'ai une proposition de poste intéressant dans une multinationale basée à Dubai.
ma contrainte est que mon mari et mes enfant vont partir avec moi et donc mon mari doit quitter son boulot et en chercher un autre à Dubai. Il est ingénieur informaticien, il bosse depuis 12 ans dans une grande multinationale. Il a un très bon français mais son anglais est bon pour usage professionel, il n'est pas fluide.
Penses-tu qe ça serait possible pour lui de trouver un boulot rapidement? si oui, as-tu une idée comment on peut procéder? on veut commencer à chercher avant de nous installer là bas.
J'ai trouvé mon emploi sur une candidature spontanée .... J'ai fais des recherches sur internet dans mon secteur d'activité tout simplement et j'ai envoyé des cv un peu partout dans le monde .
Je ne connais pas du tout Dubaï ... Je t'invite à faire des recherches sur internet en ciblant sur ton corps de métier ...

Leunz a raison, j'ai vérifié et c'est effectivement le secondaire qui est pris en charge par l'état, désolée....
Si tu passes par le Consulat à Dubai, tu peux aussi te renseigner sur les bourses scolaires.
C'est vrai qu'ici dans la majorité des cas la scolarité est prise en charge par la société, c'est notre cas avec 3 enfants, c'est important de le négocier.
Je t'aurais volontiers guidée dans Dubai, mais je pars trés bientôt, à regrets..;
J'espére que ton employeur fera un effort conséquent sur ton salaire et tes conditions.

j'ai un amis dentiste a Dubaï j'y suis allé en 2008 et il nous a expliqué que pour ses employé il doit lui payer un billet aller retour pour lui et sa famille dans son pays d'origine
renseigne toi sur ce point la c'est déjà une dépense non négligeable en moins

Leela, je vais très souvent à Dubai et je connais très bien la vie là bas, en tant que touriste ou voyageuse pendant 1 mois ou un peu plus (mon travail me laissant un peu de temps ) et ayant une bonne amie là bas, cela m'a permis de voir Dubai sous ces differents angles.
C'est une très belle ville ou la qualité de vie est extraordinnaire et tellement superieur à ici.
Je prévois de m'y installé pendant 1 ans et peut etre plus.
Cependant le probleme du travail n'est pas encore résolu. à Dubai , il n'y a pas de chomeur donc , on ne peut pas y allé en ce disant qu'on va trouvé un emploi sur place. Commence par y allé en tant que touriste, essaye de t'y faire déjà au niveau du rythme de vie. Et de la chaleur aussi, c'est un climat désertique et malgres la clim dans toute les infrastructures. il faut pouvoir supporté une chaleur qui est loin de celle du maroc , de l'algerie ou de l'egypte.
Ravie de te connaître ..... J'ai déjà trouvé le boulot à Dubaï et je m'y installe tout prochainement !.... J'ai vécu une quinzaine d'années aux Antilles donc la chaleur ça me connaït !!! lol
