nous avons pour projet de venir nous installer en nouvelle calédonie fin 2009 (encore quelques affaires à régler ici et mettre des sous de côté) avec ma compagne et les demandes de le secteur de l'informatique (moi -> développeur/chef de projet) et le tourisme (ma compagne) ne semble pas débordante sur le rocher (après est-ce que j'ai su trouver les bons sites d'emploi, ça c'est encore une autre question !). C'est évident que la demande ne soit pas aussi forte que le batiment ou les autres métiers, mais j'aurais souhaité savoir si en prenant mon sac à dos (moi tout seul d'abord), vous pensez que je serais capable de trouver quelque chose dans un délai raisonnable ? (env. 1 à 2 mois, je sais je suis pas patient quand je travaille pas 😛)
Je suis actuellement résident sur l'ile de Mayotte depuis le mois de Juillet dernier en compagnie de mon épouse et de mes deux enfants.
Après une carrière en qualité d'informaticien au sein de l'armée de l'air d'une quinzaine d'années, j'ai décidé de quitter cette entité pour migrer vers de nouveaux horizons insulaires après avoir suivi un cusus Windows 2003 de plusieurs mois et validé un MCSE puis un MCTS .
J'ai d'abord procèdé à une reconnaissance de l'ile en janvier 2008 pour dénicher un emploi pou mon épouse (assurances) et moi-même.
J'en ai également profiter pour faire le tour des écoles et des administrations.
La démarche de reconnaissance préalable est donc préférable avant d'entammer une procédure d'expatriation.
Nous avons déjà pas mal voyagé durant plusieurs années. Un bon séjour débute avec une bonne arrivée......
Nous envisageons également de migrer (à nouveau ) vers Nouméa. J'ai déjà des amis implantés sur place qui me fournissent les infos petit à petit.

Je vis donc à Nouméa et suis informaticien au sein d'une ��quipe comprenant un département projet duquel je dépend.
Mon expérience sur le caillou est la suivante, si vous venez vous ne le regretterez pas :) mais il est certain que la Nouvelle Calédonie est un "petit" pays avec seulement 300000 habitants (la Réunion, DOM en compte 700000) et du coup les structures pour travailler dans le développement et le déploiement de projet IT restent relativement restreintes aux grands projets miniers qui fourmillent à travers tout le pays... Certes, il existe de grandes structures telles que OPT (téléphonie), EEC/CDE (électricité/eau) mais ces places restent bien souvent réservées aux emplois locaux et non pour les "Zoreilles" débarquant fraichement de métropole... C'est malheureux mais c'est ainsi...
De plus petites structures restent bien actives mais l'emploi proposé reste essentiellement du dépannage de niveau 2 avec bien évidemment des places pour des administrateurs citrix, VM, windows, Cisco et linux.
Les salaires pour du niveau 1&2 s'échelonnent de 180000 (1500€) à 300000 CFP (2500€). Pour les niveaux 3, selon les qualifications, cela démarre à 300000 CFP à beaucoup plus (Si sérieuses qualifications, les compétences particulières étant rares sur le territoire, on parle ici de CCNA et autres certifs red hat)
Au jour d'aujourd'hui, la crise frappant les géants mondiaux, les entreprises minières telles que ValeInco avec le projet Goro Nickel, koniambo Nickel restent les valeurs les plus sûres pour s'implanter sur le territoire, mais comme vous le comprendrez limitent les couts des projets en attendant une reprise du marché mondial du nickel; donc patiente de ce côté là...
Aussi, je ne saurais trop vous conseiller de suivre ce premier conseil qui vous a été donné de venir voir dans un premier temps, l'ambiance en Calédonie étant particulière, on aime ou on n'aime pas et pourquoi pas de commencer les prospections.
Pour commencer, voici une courte et non objective liste de société travaillant dans ce domaine et qui serait à même de vous apporter des réponses à vos questions:
CIPAC (importateur et installateurs, appartient à la famille Lafleur, grand monopole en télécom) BBS (Fournisseurs de services local) ValeIncoNC (Groupe minier) Koniambo nickel (Groupe minier, les plus à même de proposer su travail en ce moment, voir en statut expat, très intéressant et situé dans le nord de l'ile à Koné) SLN (Groupe minier ancéstral en Calédonie) Lagoon (provider local) Can'l (provider local, très actif pour proposer de nouvelles solutions techniques) MLS (provider local) OPT (Téléphonie fixe et mobile)
Voici quelques pistes d'explorations, il n'est pas à exclure de se monter une structure et de proposer de la prestation de services en patentés, les statuts ici étant très faciles à gérer. J'ai moi-même monter ma patente en à peu près 10 à 15 minutes de temps... Reste la concurrence serrée avec de plus en plus de personnes venant également tenter l'aventure :)
Dernière chose si vous tentez celle-ci, la Calédonie est magnifique, les gens y sont souriants dans l'ensemble, Nouméa ressemble de plus en plus aux cités métropolitaines que je cherchais à fuir mais le lagon l'entoure avec ces ilots, ces bands de sables, son coup à boire du dimanche soir dans la piscine de l'ilot maitre, son cout de la vie vraiment trop élevé mais il est 19h37 ici en ce 5 janvier, il fait à peu près 36° dans la pièce où j'écris...
j aimerais savoir si il y a des emplois dans le secteur medical, car je vais faire une formation d aide soignante et j envisage apres d aller chercher un emploi en nouvelle caledonie. merci

Je suis également MCTS (SharePoint) et développeur/consultant .NET/Java, j'espère que ça donnera quelques aperçus de mes compétences aux employeurs. D'ailleurs, comment cela se passe t-il si je postule déjà à des emplois depuis la France ? Le déplacement s'imposera ou les entretiens peuvent être faire par téléphone ? (le prix du billet étant inversement proportionnel entre le jour de propection et la date de départ ...) Si non si je suis ton raisonnement, il est mieux d'aller là bas pour trouve run emploi, revenir et ensuite repartir c'est ça ?
Merci TitoNC, je vais aller regarder toutes ces entreprises de plus près dés ce soir (il est 11h à Lille là ... je sais je répond dans le forum alors que je suis au travail 🙂). J'ai également vu quelques agences d'intérim ou autre (Manpower, etc) mais il est très dur de trouver un site comme les pages jaunes pour faire le tour des entreprises disponibles et des agences de travail de l'ile.
Est-ce qu'il a un organisme dédié au travail dans le même genre que l'ANPE (seulement 1 réponse pour nouméa sur le site FR) ?
L'aventure entreprenarial me plait aussi même si dans un premier temps, ce n'est pas forcément ce que je vais rechercher, juste le temps de s'intégrer et de profiter du pays et de bien comprendre comment tout ce pays monde fonctionne 🙂

Il semble qu'il y a de la demande sur Nouméa pour ton futur métier. Contactes en temps voulu les différentes cliniques privées (Baie des citrons, Magnin, Anse-Vata) et le centre hospitalier Gaston Bourret ou Magenta.

Actuellement, je suis résident à la réunion, et suis informaticien plus précisément "niveau 2", mais en plus de ça aussi j'exerce le métier d'un technicien de maintenance en photocopieur (réparation, dépannage, entretien, installation, mise en réseau).
Croyez-vous que j'ai de la chance d'y s'installer là-bas?

bonjour, alors j'imagine que tu n'es pas un bureau de renseignement mais comme tu semble assez bien informé sur la nouvelle Calédonie (normal tu y habites) si tu pouvais me dire si il y a du travail dans le secteur du batiment à des postes d'encadrement type conducteur de travaux ou encore bureau d'études et meme en électricité ..

Bon pour la Nouvelle Calédoni, on est limite en situation de plein emploi mais les gens sont pas tres ergardant sur els conditions...
Bref, celui qu iveu travailler en NC, il travaillera toujours mais faut pas s'attendre à des miracles non plus, pour les miracles, il faut revenir le lendemain et se défendre... Surtout en tant que zoreille encore une fois...
Bon pour l'informatique, c'est pas la panacé mais il y a du travail, dans le TP c'est un eldorado, j'ai 2 amis qui travaillent dans le TP un est coducteur de travaux l'autre à son compte (et cherche quelqu'un d'ailleurs - Société DVRD)... Dans ce domaine, c'est limite trop facile, ça écoeure les autres :) Y'a du travail (Dumez, Colas etc etc...) Par contre attention, particularités locales à prendre en compte, le proverbe "casse pas la tête", limite devenue devise du pays s'applique d'autant plus dan sle TP et les gens ne font pas forcément attention mais c'est pas trop dans le sujet de cette discussion non ?!

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area.
