Je vais repartir des philippines vers le mois d'octobre 2013 avec mon cata a destinations de la république de Palau puis Papouasie puis pacifique. Je recherche des équipiers débrouillards .

Bonjour Palau et papouasie sont deux destinations ou je dois aller , mais malheuresemnet j'ai bien peur d'etre un pietre equipier🙁Si tu passes par Port Barton passes me voir et surtout bon voyage🙂
Sympa pour l'invitation. J'ai bien aimé port barton lors de mon escale avec mon bateau. Dommage saurait été a mon tour de t'offrir un coup ;) j'ai bien aimé le look de bateaux de pêche. J'étais souvent juste devant. La criée

Je pollue un peu ton thread sorry, je suis sur mon cata en Thailande, je vis ici et j'envisage de faire un tour aux Philippines pour trouver plus d'eau clair ! C'est un vaste sujet mais juste si tu peux me dire pas de mauvaise surprise à signaler par la mer aux Philippines ? et pour le bateau le visa dure a t-il la même durer que ton visa à toi ? Bon vent ++

Bonjour, aucun problème particulier aux Philippines. Il y a pleins d'îles différentes les une des autres. Les habitants sont excessivement sympathiques. Le visa est d'un mois renouvelable et pour le bateau il n'y a pas de limite pour lui. Par contre, il y a peu de Port ou de marina pour laisser son bateau. Et il y a des cyclones, mais dans le sud ça va. Les cartes ne sont pas toujours precises. Récif ou patate non précisées et quelques fois des îles ;) côté Est de Palawan et aussi dans la partie Est pacifique. Voila, je trouve que n'est une bonne destination pour le bateau. N'hésite pas a me contacter. ++
Je confirme le danger vient ici des hauts fonds les coraux affleurent parfois donc prudence en approchant des cotes

Bonjour et merci d'avoir répondu. Nous sommes 4 personnes pour le moment. Je navigue toute l'année surmon bateau et je projeté donc d'aller sur la république de Palau et ensuite la papouasie que je connais déjà. Je cherche une équipe , un équipage cohérent ou il y a de la bonne entente. La côté Papouasie c'est dur, bp d'orage avec des pluies torrentielles, des papous pas toujours sympa et aucun hôpital ou médecin proche. Il y a des moustique aussi. Tout élans pour dire que cette partie du voyage n'est pas plage de sable blanc .... Je te laisse mon mail.si toutefois tu n'es pas trop dégouté ;) Marysundance@voila.fr

mes enfants s'installent sur l'ile de Bohol ; nous irons les voir régulierement : peux tu nous dire si c'est aisé de naviguer en voilier dans ce coin et peux t on louer facilement des bateaux merci
Bohol est un endroit bien sympa et relativement touristique mais sans excès. Pour y louer des bateaux, je n'en ai pas vu a louer. Ni d'ailleurs croise ;) , a l'exception de bateaux locaux. Mais il y a moyen de partir faire un tour avec l'un d'entre eux. Les gens sont excessivement sympa et agréables. Donc, ça va être facile ;)

Bonjour, je t'ai répondu sur un autre post. Sinon, tu peux trouver des bateaux locaux sur place. Mais je n'ai pas vu de bateau voilier occidentaux. Bon souvenirs de Bohol ;)
Bonjour, oui, je recherche des équipiers ;) Je privilégie des personnes qui par leur métier ou hobby sont intéressées par cette partie du monde. Ethnologue, linguiste etc. ou des personnes qui m'apportent un savoir ou qui ont un travail particulier à faire dans la région visitée. (étude sur place) et également des personnes qui participent à des projets que je propose. En règle générale aussi je demande que ces personnes soient libres 3 mois. Cela fait beaucoup ! :) Je prends aussi des personnes pour des périodes plus courtes, mais je demande une participation au frais plus conséquente. Nous allons donc faire le tour de la Nouvelle Guinée pour l'année 2014.

I’m 45, have no experience in the matter, but I’ve got plenty of time available and I live in Marseille. I’ve tried courses at different schools here, but they’re all focused on competition—it’s not my thing at all. I’d like to learn so I can eventually think about traveling by sailboat. Thanks for your insights!

Which company? Which website to book on? Are there any companies that go straight to Meno (without changing boats at another Gili)? Or is it better to do it in two legs?

I’ve been following this forum for a while to gather some info about the journey I’m currently on. So, this is my first post here.
Here’s the scoop! For over fifteen years, I’ve been connected to Cape Verde by heart and by blood. An uncle of mine settled there about thirty years ago and opened a sailing school on the island of Boavista. Sadly, he passed away and is now buried in Praia, but I still have cousins and many friends in the country. I’ve spent quite a few stays there, some longer than others, and I’m starting to get by in Creole.
A few years ago, I had the urge to travel from France to Cape Verde by road. Not just going from point A to point B by plane, but taking the time to measure the space between my birth country and my adopted one. To see the landscapes, cultures, and people that separate them. I hit the road two weeks ago, heading toward Dakar. Right now, I’m in El Jadida, Morocco, traveling mainly by bus.
But here’s the point of my request: once I’m in Senegal, I plan to find a sailboat or cargo ship heading toward the Cape Verde islands. I expect to be between Saint-Louis and Dakar around mid-August. So, I’m open to any tips for this crossing or to being put in touch with a sailboat planning the trip around that time.
I’m not a sailor, but I’ve got some basic sailing knowledge from my uncle that I’d love to improve. And I can kill time by holding my own on a chessboard!

Hi everyone, our friend is a real Captain with experience—last time we rented in the Balearics and it was amazing. This year, we’d like to rent a sailboat for a week in May or September to sail around the Cyclades. I have a few questions, starting with the wind.
1/ Does it really blow very hard during these periods? Some crew members aren’t exactly seasoned sailors.
2/ Is it better to rent from Athens or one of the Cycladic islands from a cost and time-management perspective? We only have a week.
3/ Which are the most beautiful and wild or least crowded islands, and where should we start?
4/ Do you know of a good sailboat rental agency?
