A mon avis le Flamingo doit être plus cher car il est nettement mieux situé. Il possède aussi une très belle piscine tropicale. Pour ce qui est des chambres, je ne sais pas mais j'ai vu le Excalibur et c'est pas terrible.
Va consulter tripadvisor.
Pas besoin de réserver avec Expédia. Tu vas payer plus cher pour rien. Réserve directement avec les sites webs des hôtels.

sur expedia.fr il y a des frais d'annulation assez conséquents.. et tu n'es jamais certain de réellement arriver a l'hotel le jour J, ou même quelques mois avant de pouvoir partir en voyage🙂

Mais faut pas pousser quand même ! l'excalibur, par rapport aux hôtels qu'on a en France, c'est du 5 étoile !....
Il ne faut pas oublier que les hôtels aux USA, et notamment à Las vegas c'est pas le même standing les trucs crades que les Français appellent des "hôtels!"...

Le Flamingo, au delà du standing, représente le premier complexe hôtelier de Las Vegas !... rien que pour ça, ça vaux la peine de le tenter !...

A priori le prix sur Expedia est moins cher que si on réserve directement sur le site des hotels, mais j'ai lu aussi une expérience d'une personne ayant réservé par Expedia et se retrouvant avec la pire chambre de tout l'hotel!!! je voulais savoir si c'était courant ou si ce pauvre gars avait eu tout simplement pas de chance!!
Si tu réserves directement dans les hotels aux USA, tu dois toujours ajouter la taxe (elle n'apparait pas sur le prix de la chambre et rarement dans le total à payer, mais est en principe précisée quelque part sur la page de réservation...
avec les reservations Expedia ou son confrère Voyagesncf : je ne sais pas si la taxe est incluses dans le tarif (pour le Nevada, environ 9% à ajouter)... ou si tu dois la payer dans chaque hotel à l'arrivée.

J'ai déjà réservé par Expedia, et je n'ai jamais du payer de taxe supllémentaire sur place, tout était inclus dans le prix.
Après, il faut faire attention quand tu réserves, pour quelques hotel, c'est indiqué que les taxes ne sont pas incluses.
Je crois qu'il y a un code couleur pour le fond, jaune/orange c'est toute taxe incluse et bleu c'est avec taxe supplémentaires
Dans ce cas va à l'impérial palace, c'est propre mais pas féérique et en plus c'est situé dans le centre du strip. J'ai été à cet hotel l'an passé et c'était propre et pas cher, demande pour la partie rénové c'est le même prix.

Il faudrait d'abord que tu nous précises le nom de l'hôtel, car il y en a des centaines et à tous les prix. De plus, partir de Burlington occasionne des frais additionnels et il faut compter 2-3 heures (passage de la douane, etc.) pour s'y rendre. En occupation quadruple (dimanche au jeudi, période la moins chère) à 839$, ce n'est pas le deal du siècle crois moi.
Dis moi le nom de l'hôtel afin que je puisse comparer des pommes avec des pommes et confirme moi que c'est pour 4 dans la chambre et si tu as les heures des vols, ça serait bien aussi.
Je suis certain que je vais pouvoir te trouver quelque chose aux alentours de 600$ incluant vol de Montréal et 5 nuits (en plus si c'est pour 4 personnes dans la même chambre, ça ne sera pas cher).
Le truc pour l'avion (pour les canadiens), c'est de visiter le site d'Air Canada durant le week end, les vols pour les États Unis sont toujours moins cher. Habituellement les spéciaux sont valides environ 60 jours. Donc pour les vols de novembre, il est encore tôt pour avoir ses spéciaux. Normalement, tu es capable d'avoir un vol (souvent sans escale) de Montréal pour environ 350-400$. Rajoute 5 nuits d'hôtel à 150$ (environ 200/pers. si 4). Bref, tu vas avoir ton séjour de 5 nuits pour environ 600$ et peut-être même plus bas.
J'ai de la difficulté à comprendre ton calcul disont 400 le vol de Mtl à LV et 200 par nuit pour 4 personnes pour 5 nuits... donc 1000 pour dormir + 400 vol cela donne bien 1400 et non 600 $ si je comprends bien c'est 5600.00 $ pour 4 personnes ???
Voici ce que j'ai trouvé Bellagio 5 nuits du 4 novembre au 10 novembre avec chambre vue sur les fontaines pour 4 personnes 3870.75 donc 967.69 par personne. Mais je dois me rendre à Burlington.

Mettons 150$ par nuit (par chambre, pas par personne) + taxes + conversion US en canadien = environ 175$ canadien par jour.
175 x 5 nuits = 875 875 divisé par 4 personnes = 219$ par personne pour les 5 nuits + avion à 400$ = 619$ par personne pour le tout.
Pour les hôtels, ils sortent leur spéciaux environ 3-4 mois à l'avance. Il faut que tu consultes leur site web directement. Ça varie énormément dépendant des périodes et surtout il faut éviter les week end.
Je suis allé qu'une seule fois dans ce coin mais j'ai rapidement compris le principe en consultant divers sites webs quotidiennement par la suite.
Si tu es capable de me trouver cela à 619$ je vais t'en devoir une... !!!

Je vais être capable de te trouver quelque chose à 619$ vol direct de Montréal, mais pas au Bellagio avec vue sur le lac.
Tu pourrais te contenter de l'Impérial Palace (tu demanderas à Isabelle) c'est là qu'ils ont séjourné en avril dernier.
Par contre, comme je te l'ai expliqué plus tôt, les spéciaux pour ces dates ne sont pas encore sortis. Sois patiente et fais moi confiance tu ne le regretteras pas et c'est gratis !
J'ai été à Las Vegas deux fois l'an passé, la première fois j'ai gagné mon voyage à Paul Arcand le matin et j'ai logé au Paris, la deuxième fois j'ai logé avec des amis à l'Impérial Palace j'ai trouvé cet hotel très bien... mais mes amis y étaient pour la première fois et voulais vivre la vie des riches et célèbres de Las Vegas donc nous avons changé d'hôtel pour aller au Mirage.
En novembre j'y vais avec deux autres amis et eux aussi veulent vivre le luxe donc nous irons soit Bellagio ou au Paris ou peux-être au Planet Hollywood.
Je cherche le meilleur prix en bas de 1000 $ par personne et avec Expédia cela bouge toujours un jour c'est 967.69$ et le lendemain c'est 1111.00$ je me demande si les prix vont être plus bas si j'attends ou plus haut à cause de la demande ??? J'ai vérifier directement avec le Bellagio et c'est plus que 1000.00$ juste pour la chambre à ces dates (4 au 10 novembre) pour 5 nuits, toujours pour un hotel avec vue sur le lac. Je sais moi que nous ne passerons pas beaucoup de temps dans la chambre mais c'est pour faire plaisir à nos amis !

En arrivant tôt vous pouvez demander une chambre en étage élevé.
On était au 22ème étage avec vue superbe sur le Céasar Palace...
Un vrai spectacle la nuit.
J'avais réservé avec Opodo (c'était le moins cher) et frais d'annulation supportables.
Je ne réserve plus avec Ebookers! minimum de 90€ de frais d'annulation, même si c'est 30 jours avant!
Pourrais-je vous demander quels sont les frais d'annulation sur expedia? Car en allant sur le site j'avais cru comprendre qu'on pouvait annuler jusqu'à 48 h avant en ne payant que 17 euros par chambre?

Je sais que là n'est pas ta question, mais les sites d'hotels, contrairement aux sites tels qu'expedia,
voyage sncf, opodo ou autres, ne facturent pas de frais d'annulation si annulation quelques heures avant le check-in.
De plus, je n'ai encore jamais vu de prix plus bas en passant par ces centrales de réservation que par les hotels en direct. (Expedia et autres ont parfois des accords et donc des tarifs interressants lorsque l'on réserve plus de trois ou cinq nuits dans un même hotel, mais uniquement dans ces cas là)
Pour répondre à ta question, en effet, il y a des frais de 17 Euros et des brouettes en cas d'annulation ou de modification

D'habitude je réserve toujours directement auprès des hôtels, c'est pour cela que je me méfie un peu d'expedia. Est-ce que vous aviez constaté que pour Las Vegas, les prix étaient toujours plus intéressants auprès des hôtels (si oui, je me suis peut-être trompée dans mes manipulations) ? Peut-être est-ce dû au fait que je réserve 2 chambres pour 2 nuits? (réservation que je peux faire en une fois par Expedia, mais pas par les sites des hôtels)

En ce qui me concerne, je n'ai encore jamais trouvé de meilleurs tarifs sur ces sites (toujours 0.50 ou 1 euros de plus.
En résumé, il est vrai que les tarifs proposés sont équivalents mais c'est quand même bien de pouvoir annuler sans frais en cas d'imprévu.

l'année dernière j'ai largement comparé les sites des hôtels et les centrales de réservation : pas de doute les centrales étaient moins chères et j'ai donc réservé sur voyages-sncf. Je ne pense pas que nous avons eu la chambre la pire de l'hôtel... pour info nous étions au circus-circus un casino un peu vieillot mais aux chambres vraiment très correctes et spacieuses, logés pour un prix très intéressant.
Allez faire un tour sur le site www.cheapovegas.com Ca fait 3 fois que je vais à Las Vegas et je déniche toujours de très bons deals en allant voir sur ce site. Ce n'est pas un site de réservation, ca donne toute sorte d'informations sur Las vegas (hôtels, restos...) et il y a une section qui s'appelle "Bargain Bin" dans laquelle les gens inscrivent les deals qu'ils ont trouvé et souvent des codes de rabais à utiliser pour avoir de meilleurs prix. J'ai résussis à avoir une chambre au Orleans pour 39$/jour en utiisant un code rabais trouvé sur ce site. J'ai réservé par téléphone directement avec l'hôtel (ils ont une ligne 800)
Ce que tu dis pour les réservations d' hôtels( s' y prendre 3 à 4 mois à l' avance) est il auusi vrai pour les autres pays.
J' ai un nombre non négligeable de réservations à faire pour cet Eté. Une grande partie de notre voyage aura lieu en Aout, donc je compte réserver à l' avance, surtout dans certains endroits, mais peut être faut il que j' attende un peu.

Je suis sur le point de valider toutes mes réservations, mais la plupart des chambres d'hôtels que j'ai choisi (Holiday Inn pour NYC, Washington et L.A.) sont bien plus chers sur le net qu'en agence de voyages; en tout cas en Suisse !
Et dans les agences de voyages, tu peux demander des voeux (chambres en hauteur, avec belle vue...sur le net, c'est plus compliqué).
Seul le Gouldings Lodge à Monument Valley est moins cher sur internet...
Par contre les billets d'avion sont un peu moins cher sur le net, environ 5% pour ce qui concerne mes vols avec Swiss et US Airways.
Mais pour le confort et éviter d'éventuels risques, je vais pratiquement tout réserver avec Kuoni Suisse. L'avantage, c'est que tu sais qui s'occupera de toutes les réservations. Si tu as un problème, tu sais à qui t'adresser !
Au final, je paierai mon voyage 300 ou 400 francs plus chers que sur le net (surtout les billets d'avion et peut-être la location du 4x4), mais en cas de coup dur (annulation), il y a moins de problèmes avec une agence.
Et comme je pars durant les vacances scolaires, je suis obligé de tout réserver pour éviter la galère.
Par la suite, en dehors des vacances scolaires, je ferai aussi des réservations sur place...
Voilà mon opinion, mais sur ce site tu en trouveras d'autres tout aussi intéressants, car les messages regorgent de très bons conseils, notamment sur le choix des destinations et hôtels...

Hello everyone! Really damaged due to flooding caused by runoff after forest fires (a total mess!), does anyone in this friendly forum have any updates on the Apache Trail between Apache Junction and Roosevelt Dam? Is there still a section of the road that’s tough to navigate?
We're leaving at the end of June and will be driving the route between Buffalo and Cody. We’ve already booked our accommodations and a rodeo in Cody, but during the day, we’ll be driving between the two and I’m unsure about the itinerary.
Which route do you think is the most pleasant, interesting, or scenic between:
- The northern route via Highway 14 with Sheridan, Lowell, etc.
- The southern route with Highways 16/20/14, passing by Loaf Mountain Overlook, Powder River Pass, Ten Sleep Canyon...
We’ll be in a car, so we should be able to drive on any road.

I’m almost done planning our September road trip. After our 3-night visit to Sequoia, we’ll have a stopover night in Coalinga (to break up the drive). We’ll be staying two nights in Monterey and would like to stop along the way to visit one side of Pinnacles National Park. We’re torn between the West entrance and the East entrance, and we’d like to do a short hike of no more than 2 hours since we don’t want to arrive too late in Monterey.
This park is split into two distinct zones with no connection between them, and the mileage from Coalinga to Monterey is pretty much the same for both. Which area do you recommend visiting—east or west? And which route is the most scenic?
I’ve spotted two short hikes:
- East: Moses Spring to Rim Trail Loop
- West: Balconies Cliffs Cave Loop
Has anyone been there, or do you have another hike to suggest?

After our first trip as a young couple to the West in 2007 (yes, that doesn’t make us any younger!), we’re planning to go back in 2028, but this time as a family of four! (We have two boys who’ll be 5½ and 13 years old in the summer of 2028.)
Our plan is to combine a few big cities (SF and LA, maybe San Diego) with national parks and state parks, mostly!
Ideally, we’d like to leave at the end of June and head back to France around July 19–20, so we can enjoy the first week of the Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Since we already did the "loop" in 2007, there are must-see places we absolutely want to revisit—and especially share with our kids: Bryce Canyon, Yosemite, and above all, the Grand Canyon, which is still the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen on Earth!
On the other hand, some places didn’t leave a big impression on us for various reasons, so we’re not making them a priority: Antelope Canyon, Monument Valley, for example.
We’re planning ahead, but might as well be smart about it😏
Do you have any tips for a fun and doable itinerary over about 20–25 days with kids, without rushing?

Just a quick question about King Canyon and Sequoia National Park.
Before our night in Miramonte, we plan to visit King Canyon. The next stop will be two nights in Three Rivers to explore Sequoia National Park. I wanted to go all the way to Roaring River Falls on the King Canyon Scenic Byway and then turn back to head to Miramonte. Since we’re coming from Oakhurst, Google Maps says it’s 300 km and 5 hours of driving. Since we also want to hike to see the sequoias (Big Stump Area and Grand Grove) before tackling the King Canyon Scenic Byway, the timing’s going to be tight. How far do you recommend going before turning back to miss as few points of interest as possible on the King Canyon Scenic Byway? Thanks for your advice, and have a great evening!

We’ll be alternating between house swaps, motels, and campgrounds. I’ve booked all the accommodations (except the campground at Bryce since sunset bookings open only 14 days in advance) and the first activities, as well as the most touristy ones.
I’m currently putting together my day-by-day roadbook and having some trouble planning certain days, like in LA or Las Vegas. Choosing hikes isn’t easy either—it’s tough to decide!

I’d like to travel along I-15N from San Diego to Las Vegas with my mom, who’s 67. We’ve explored Northern California and the California Coast over the past two years and now want to continue through the desert.
There are several attractions along the way:
- Mormon Rocks
- Desert Discovery Center and visit the Old Woman meteorite
- Joshua Tree National Park
- Mojave Desert
- Mojave National Preserve
- Anza-Borrego Desert State Park
- Silverwood Lake
My mom has back issues that prevent her from hiking or walking on trails with elevation changes. Is it possible to visit these places by car, or are the routes flat enough?
I’d love for her to experience the desert with an itinerary adapted to her condition. I’m also open to other points of interest that aren’t mentioned. We have 3-4 days for the trip, so we’re not in a rush—just want to explore.
I’d love to take a road trip and visit Nova Scotia. I’d appreciate some info on the best cities to see and the most interesting spots. The trip should last about 10 to 15 days, staying in hotels or motels. Thanks in advance!

My 16-year-old son is flying to Grand Rapids with other kids his age. There’s a layover in Detroit. There’s no unaccompanied minor service available. Is it pretty easy to navigate Detroit Airport to catch the connecting flight to Grand Rapids (domestic flight)? There are several of them who speak English well.

We’d like to walk to Eagle Falls and then Eagle Lake. I’ve spotted two parking lots that seem close to each other and give access to the trailhead. Where and how do we pay for entry to Emerald Bay State Park and Inspiration Point?
**Viewpoints on the East Side:**
Are most of the viewpoints (Balancing Rock, Granite Cave, Bonsai Rock, etc.) right by the road, or do you have to hike to reach them?
**Donner Memorial State Park:**
Is it worth making a detour to Truckee to visit this park and the Truckee historic downtown?

I'm shocked by the price of the Upper Antelope Canyon tour—$175 for less than an hour… You might say, "if you can’t afford it…" But the real question is whether it’s really worth it, because $350 for two makes me feel like I’m getting ripped off. As you can see, we're heading back from September 6th to the 27th.

I’ve read there are trails to access the trailheads for Cinder Cone (11 km) and Warner Valley. Are these easy trails for an SUV?
Are there any other must-see spots or things we shouldn’t miss?

I’m a total USA addict. I’ve already done several road trips, including the East Coast and West Coast.
I’m here today because I’m planning to go back for another road trip on the West Coast. Possibly with one of my sisters and a couple of friends. It’s still just a plan for now, but I’m working on an itinerary in the meantime. Ideally, I’d leave in 2026, but I don’t have the exact dates yet—maybe April-May or September-October.
My last trip to the West Coast was in September 2014. We went for 2 weeks, but this time it’d be 3 weeks. What made me want to go back was simply a colleague who just left today. As I’m writing this, he’s on the plane. I’m so happy for him, but now all I can think about is going back.
Since I recently went to NY, I noticed that prices have really gone up. I assume the same is true for the West Coast? For 2 people over 3 weeks, what budget should I expect? We’re the type to watch our spending and find great tips.
I think we’ll arrive in San Francisco like the first time and leave from either Los Angeles or Las Vegas.

Travelers to the United States | Photo Now Mandatory Upon Entry and Exit | La Presse
I assume many of you already know, but the America the Beautiful annual pass, which was $80, will increase to $250 starting January 1, 2026.
So if you're planning to travel before the end of December 2026, it's in your best interest to buy your pass in December 2025, since it will still cost $80 and be valid until the end of December 2026 if you purchase it in December 2025.
This price increase only applies to non-U.S. residents.
Additionally, for those who planned to visit just one park, a $100 surcharge per person will apply to access a list of 11 national parks...
For example, if there are 4 of you in a car, you’ll have to pay $35 + $400,
which comes to $435 to visit one of the 11 parks on the list (I don’t have all of them... Bryce, Zion, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, etc.).
Total madness.
The goal is to push people who only visit one park into buying the annual pass.
Last point: free entry days are over for non-residents!

We just finished 9 days in the American West and wanted to share our experience because we had an amazing time.
I know some of you might ask, why use an agency? Honestly, we didn’t really feel like doing all the driving and planning, especially since we didn’t know the area at all. And since our English isn’t great, having French-speaking guides was a big comfort.
We found Emmanuelle and Isabelle, and wow, they were fantastic. It was just the two of us with them, so it was a truly VIP, ultra-personalized experience. They treated us like royalty from start to finish. These two live in Las Vegas and know the region like the back of their hand. They told us they’ve spent over 15 years exploring every corner of the American West, and it really shows. Their knowledge of geology, park history, and local anecdotes is just impressive. It’s nothing like someone reciting a memorized script. They answer all your questions and really adapt to what you want to see or do.
What we really loved: the vehicle was super comfortable, and the little details made a difference—like snacks and even a homemade cake! Though, to be fair, we devoured the cake right away, so that counts.
Since they know the sites inside out, they took us at the right times to avoid crowds. So we could enjoy peaceful picnics at Grand Canyon viewpoints without being packed in with 200 people. Plus, on top of the must-see spots, they showed us some hidden gems that were absolutely stunning—places we never would’ve found on our own. They’re true locals who know all the best tips.
The service was really personalized. They adapted to our pace and preferences, and we could stop whenever we wanted to take photos. It’s the luxury of being in a small private group—you’re not just a number on a big bus.
In short, we really felt like we were traveling with friends rather than professional guides. Everything’s included in the price (hotel pickup, meals, park entries, etc.), so the value for money is fair.
We loved it so much that we’re already planning to come back next year to explore other areas with them. I think we’ve caught the American West bug—it’s all we can think about, and we can’t wait to return.
