Voilà, j'ai une opportunité de travail (en expat) à Jakarta. Mais, je ne connais pas du tout l'indonésie.
J'aimerais avoir qq renseignements sur la vie en Indonésie et particulièrement à Jakarta (puisse que c'est là que je serais logé). Alors si certaines personnes qui vivent là bas où qui ont vécu sur place peuvent me donner qq conseils....
Qu'en est il de la sécurité ? (on entend un peu tout, grippe aviaire, attentats, virus, ....). Peut on vivre en toute sécurité dans ce pays ? Comment est ce au niveau de l'hygiène ? Faut il prendre des mesures particulières (pas manger ceci, pas boire cela, vaccins, ...) ? Y a t il de "bons" (types européens) hôpitaux, médecins, dentistes ? Quels sont les quartiers à Jakarta que vous conseiller (pour se loger) ? les quartiers à éviter ? Y a t il des endroits "sympa" pour se divertir à Jakarta ? Lesquels ? Peut on se débrouiller uniquement en parlant anglais ? J'ai remarqué que la plupart des compagnies aériennes indonésiennes était black lister par la communauté européenne. Existe t il tout de même certaines compagnies un peu plus "sur" que d'autres ? Quels sont les endroits sympa à voir / visiter sur l'ile de Java ? et ailleurs en Indonésie ou plus loin (hormis Bali) Comment se situe le niveau de vie là bas ? Est il facile pour une femme d'expat de trouver un travail ? dans quel domaine ? ou des occupations ? Existe t il un réseau d'expat français à Jakarta ? Comment est le climat ? pas trop pluvieux ?

j'ai vécu un peu plus de 2 mois en indonésie (jakarta) l'année dernière, pour faire suite à ton message, voilà qques éléments :
question sécurité (sanitaire) à priori à Jakarta tu ne risques pas grand chose! Perso je n'ai jamais été malade ou quoique ce soit et tous les expats que j'ai pu rencontrer et qui vivent là bas depuis un moment n'ont jamais eu de soucis particulier..... il y a des hôpitaux spécialisés pour les "boulés" (nom indonésien pour "l'homme blanc"), il suffit de te rapprocher de l'ambassade ou du consulat pour avoir toutes les infos nécessaires.... la plupart des expatriés vivent dans le quartier de Kemang ou dans central jakarta question divertissement tu seras servi!! Jakarta est la ville la plus "hype" d'asie du sud-est, tu y trouveras les meilleurs boites de nuits et bars de toute l'asie du sud-est, en vrac quelques noms : Dragonfly, Blowfish, X2, Red Square, Stadium (un peu plus "chaud")..... oui tu peux te débrouiller en parlant anglais toutefois je te conseille d'apprendre le bahasa indonésien car ce n'est vraiment pas dur à apprendre (même alphabet!), personnellement en un peu plus de 2 mois, j'étais capable de me débrouiller très bien....toutefois petite recommandation pour les taxis : ne prendre que les taxis "silver bird" car les autres ne parlent pas anglais donc plus difficile au début pour se déplacer.... les compagnies aériennes sont en effet toute "black lister" mais franchement pour avoir beaucoup pris l'avion là-bas je n'ai jamais eu de gros stress, les compagnies aérienne "Lion air" et "Garuda" ont renouvelé pas mal de leur flotte d'avion..... il y a énormément de choses à voir sur Java mais en vrac : Yogya, Bandung, Borobudur, Prambanan et surtout Bromo volcano (pour moi l'endroit le plus beau que j'ai vu en indonésie)......sinon ailleurs que sur java, je te conseille : lombok, gili islands, komodo islands..... le niveau de vie là bas est très bas, donc si tu as un statut d'expat avec un salaire d'expat, tu vivras comme un pacha.... pour une femme d'expat, je ne sais pas, mais il n'est pas évident de trouver un boulot en tant qu'expat directement sur place....j'en ai faire l'amer expérience, j'ai passé plusieurs entretiens pour des cabinets de recrutement mais le permis de travail et notre salaire sont un frein pour les entreprises indonésiennes..... oui il existe un réseau d'expat français à jakarta, idem contact l'ambassade ou le consulat....personnellement je ne l'ai pas trop fréquenté, j'étais plus proche de réseaux d'expats "internationaux" si je ne me trompe pas, le climat est très pluvieux de octobre à mars après normalement c'est grand beau temps et chaud (enfin jakarta étant très pollué le ciel est assez gris....)

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
Are there any special requirements before leaving France (aside from taxes...)?

Hi, I’m a self-employed physiotherapist in France, and as my wife (a nurse) and I look into working abroad in about two years, I’ve been offered an equivalence to become a respiratory physiotherapist in Switzerland. Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area. Anyway, that’s not the main point—could anyone explain the pros and cons of doing this job in Switzerland? Based on the paperwork I’ve received, the equivalence seems purely administrative or almost... What about working conditions, quality of life, salaries, etc.?
