Je pense que tu étais en hôtel formule tout compris donc à mon sens il te faudrait pour commencer séjourner un mois dans une location pour te rendre compte de la véritable vie sur place et là te renseigner auprès de certains expatriés( mais pas tous tu auras vite fais ton choix pour connaitre les gens installés la bas en qui tu pourras avoir confiance) pour avoir des infos pour un travail. Et bien sûr auprès des Dominicains.

Salut vous 2 je vais essayer de vous eclairer un peu je suis du Quebec moi aussi mais je vis ici a Cabarete, bon commencons par le travail ici je ne veux pas vous décourager mais vous aurez bcp de difficulter a trouver quoi que ce soit et ensuite si jamais vous trouver avez vous pensez au salaire qui est d'environ 7 a 8000rd par mois (250$)pour les loyers tout dépend de ce que vous cherchez 1 chambres peut vous couter de 300 à 500us par mois tout dépend de l'endroit de la sécurité savez vous que la rep dom est un pays dangereux comme bcp d'autre aussi en tout inclus on ne vois pas grand chose bon tout ca pour vous dire quavant de faire quoi que ce soit prenez le temps de venir vivre ici 1 ou 2 mois en appartement et ainsi découvrir ce pays et son fonctionnement qui est tres different du quebec.bon je ne vous ai pas dit tout ca pour vous faire peur et vous décourager car moi j'ai bcp voyager et c'est ici que je suis installer et j'Adore ce beau pays cependant il faut etre pres a y vivre car si ta pas de $$$ en back up t'aura bcp de difficulter ici tu peux encore tout acheter cependant il faut $$$ alors bonne chance et si ta des questions n'hésite pas ca me fera plaisir de te donner l'heure juste. et va voir j'Ai un ptit site qui peux peut etre taider a+...sosua-cabarete.org

Pour ma part, je fais parti de ceux qui, comme bon nombre de "futur potentiel expat" qu'on voit sur les forums, ont eu l'idée de venir s'établir ici après une semaine de vacance en hotel. Moi, il y a 6 ou 7 ans, j'ai eu l'idée magique sur le bord d'une plage "Eh, pourquoi je viendrais pas venir ici ? C'est parfait ici" suivi de la réflexion "Je vends tout et je me trouve quelques chose ici..." Ça, c'était pour la partie "facile" du projet...
Suite à cette idée "magique", je me suis préparée tranquillement au cours des premières années. Dans les 2 dernières années avant mon arrivée, je venais ici à tous les 3 mois pour 2 semaines en visitant TOUT le pays de A à Z sans utiliser de formule tout inclus. Ma conjointe étant dominicaine, j'ai pu avoir la chance de découvrir tout de ce pays: Le beau, le moins beau, le pas beau du tout et le vraiment pas beau du tout... J'avais donc une très bonne idée dans quoi je m'embarquais et savez-vous quoi ? 6 mois après mon arrivée ici diffinitive, je m'apperçois que c'est pas si facile que ça et différent de ce que j'avais imaginé.
Vous allez peut-être rire, mais il m'arrive "de prendre congé" de la vie ici et d'apprécier de passer quelques jours ou une semaine en formule tout compris dans un hotel du pays, juste pour "prendre un break". C'est le même pays pourtant! S'il y avait une quelquonque ressemblance entre la vie d'hotel et la vie de tous les jours ici, croyez moi, j'irai prendre mes vacances ailleurs.
Côté travail: À moins de détenir une formation dans un domaine spécialisé, une bonne expérience de travail, des très bons contacts dominicains, ou d'être embauché par une multinationale ayant des points de service ici, soyez svp un peu logique. Je vois pas pourquoi on donnerait du travail a un étranger dans un domaine commun avec un salaire décent quand pour une fraction du prix, on peut embaucher un dominicain ou encore un haitien. Si vous ne parlez pas la langue du pays, bonne chance. Si vous ne possédez pas de bonnes référence locales ici, bonne chance, Si vous n'habitez pas le pays pour votre recherche d'emplois, bonne chance. Si vous chercher un bon salaire décent, bonne chance.
Hint gratuit: Si vous voulez vivre ici, esseyer de créer votre propre entreprise dans un domaine non ou peu exploité.
Je ne cherche pas à décourager qui que se soit, loin de là. Il y a des devoirs a faire avant de venir vivre ici pour de bon. Certains tenteront leur chance sur un coup de tête et réussiront sans doute. Ce sont des exceptions à mon sens.
Je suis également disponible en me contactant personnellement pour les personnes sérieuses qui ont déjà commencés leurs "devoirs". Si je peux aider, il m'en fera plaisir.

J'approuve à 100% Tipet737, j'ai parcouru le pays et vous savez quoi, la plupart des expatrié de 10 ans et plus vivent finalement en ville à Santo Domingo, sauf ceux qui ont réussi une affaire, mais il y'en a peu, si vous connaissiez le parcours du propriétaire du Trio de Oro, la fameuse boulangerie à La Romana, ou le parcours de cette ancien du club Med, la Creperie place d'Espagne à Sto Domingo...vous sauriez que ca été très très difficile.
Même le parcours du propriétaire italien du fameux Captain Cook à Cortesico arrivé il y'a 30 ans n'a été possible que grâce à des aides de sa famille au début.
Les autres survivants en affaires sont arrivés avec des dixaines de millions, et je pense que leur affaires sont peu rentable.
Je parle pas des suicidés, dont un ami qui a tout perdu son argent, (200.000€) sa femme, ses enfants...rentrés sans lui en Europe
Ni de ceux morts de maladie seuls, dans l'indifférence, à l'hôpital publique, comme Peter de Miches
