J'ai déjà été 4 mois fille au pair en australie. Mon anglais n'est pas bon du tout (j'étais avec une famille Mauricienne donc on parler francais) mais j'ai apprécier cette experience car j'avais pas mal de temps libre pour visiter. Pas facil de trouver du travail en france donc je me dis pourquoi pas tenter ma chance à nouveau en alliant l'utile à l'agréable.
Alors voila si vous avez besoin d'un coup main et que vous voulez plus de détails n'hésitez pas à prendre contact.
Pour être au pair aux USA il faut le visa J1 et pour obtenir le visa J1 il faut passer par un organisme officiel.
Ma fille est partie avec CALVIN THOMAS, mais tu as aussi STS, APIA, Cultural Care.....
Il faut avoir entre 18 (19 ans pour certains organismes) et 26 ans inclus, le BAC ou une équivalence et le permis de conduire. Tu passeras un entretien en anglais. Pour le niveau d'anglais, il faut savoir se débrouiller, sachant qu'il faudra parler aux familles au téléphone. Mais rien de bien compliqué, on ne te demande absolument pas d'être bilingue.
Si ton dossier est accepté, l'organisme te demandera les références de 3 familles où tu as gardé des enfants. Les références seront vérifiées.
Actuellement les au pairs touchent 195$/semaine (montant fixé par le gouvernement américain) pour 45 heures maxi par semaine. Et tu auras 2 semaines de congés payés pendant ton année.
Pour le choix des familles. Ce n'est pas toi qui choisis, mais c'est la famille. Dès que ton dossier est accepté il est mis en ligne, et ce sont les familles qui te contactent.

Perso je suis partie aveccalvin Thomas et je ne peux que te les recommander chaudement (http://www.calvin-thomas.com/au-pair/ + facebook). Leur point fort: le suivi, car tu n'es pas lâchée seule aux USA, tu fais d'abord un stage tout frais payés à NY puis une fois dans ta famille il y a une counsellor qui organise des meetings une fois par mois: activités culturelles mais aussi pour s'assurer avec toi que tout se passe bien. Non, je suis Canadienne donc je ne connais pas cet organisme qui est français. Mais il y a de nombreuses personnes qui viennent sur ce forum pour faire leur pub en faisant des témoignages qui sont soient faux, soi intéressés (payés par une tierce entreprise). Alors quand un nouveau membre vient s'inscrire et que ses 2 premiers messages font la promotion de son expérience dans un organisme précis, permet moi de me méfier. Surtout que c'est le rêve de milliers de petits Français et de petites Françaises d'aller travailler aux États-Unis...alors il y a quand même moyen de se faire un max de fric en jouant là-dessus. Voyage Forum interdit ce genre de publicité gratuite donc je les signale quand je soupçonne que c'est intéressé.
Les faux témoignages et les témoignages intéressés sont un vrai fléau sur le net: TripAdvisor, Expedia, forums, etc. Je suis bien décidée à partir en guerre contre cela car le simple citoyen a le droit d'accéder à des commentaires authentiques avant de flamber son fric.
Peut-être que ton témoignage est authentique et désintéressé, dans ce cas désolée. Mais c'est souvent, et malheureusement pas le cas. Je préfère mettre en garde les membres et les visiteurs afin qu'ils soient plus vigilants.

Bonjour Nikky, je comprends ta démarche j'aimerais juste que cela ne tombe pas sur moi car je fais cela pour aider par pour voir les espoirs des jeunes filles s'envoler en même temps que leur argent. Mon intention était juste d'apporter une vue de l'intérieur par rapport à la première réponse apportée au message initial.
