Je pars à Dakar en fin de semaine pour passer un entretiens avec une entreprise locale pour une éventuelle embauche.
Je suis un zoreil ( le toubaba ici à la Réunion😉) je serai seul à m'installer la bas ( avec mon chien tout de même), et je voudrai connaitre les quartiers où je pourrai éventuellement m'installer, soit en appart ou en villa. Sachant que je privilégie les quartiers où je peux facilement avoir des contacts avec les toubaba comme moi et proche du boulot ( autoroute prolongé).
Je recherche tout de même un certain confort.

salut, j'ai vécu a la reunion 3 ans je viens de rentrer il y a 6 mois et je part au senegal au mois d'Avril logiquement pour 3 semaine de vacances voir plus car mon père a un appart sur dakar donc a voir si ça plait a ma femme.......Sinon au sénégal les "blanc" sont les toubab😉, pour les quartier tu as le quartier français ou alors si tu recherche le "saint gilles réunionais faudra descendre sur Saly la p'tite côte!!!!!!!!apres tu as beaucoup de coin sympa et ranquille qui peuvent te convenir.en général on conseille d'éviter le quartier de la médina à daker (en même temps j'y ai vécu 3 mois sans jamais aucun souci donc....)et la ville de pikine, voilà c'que j'peux te dire!!!!!!!!!!!

Concernant Saly, c'est beaucoup trop loin ( 80 kms) surtout en temps de parcours sinon c'est sur que je m'insatallerai la bas. A la Réunion j'habite justement Saint Gilles qui n'est qu'a 45 kms de la "capitale" et il faut le matin presque 1h30 pour faire 45 kms et dans les mauvais jours c'est beaucoup plus...
Quand tu parle de quartier français c'est où?
Tu peux voir les différents quartiers de Dakar, pour la plage je te conseille les mamelles a Ouakam, sinon apres u n'a pas de quoi t'ennuyer sur place!!!!!!!!
comme tu dit il faut bien 1h30 pour st gilles-st denis donc eventuellement si la route te fais pas peur tu peux t'installer a saly en sachant que la route a étée refaite!!!!!
Sans indiscrétion tu va bosser à Dakar (dans quoi??)et pourquoi le senegal??

Moi aussi j'ai le projet fin 2009 de venir au Sénégal. Merci de m'indiquer s'il est possible d'arriver sans contrat expat, ds quel domaine et comment chercher. je ne cherche pas un salaire mirobolant juste changer de vie. j'ai 52 ans j'ai été comptable durant plusieurs années pendant lesquells je suis venue deux fois au Mali faire les démarches pour la reconnaisssance d'un asso. Depuis 2004, je suis secrétaire médicale dans un cabinet de gynéco au sein d'une clinique privée, mon mari (50 cette année) était routier international et depuis deux ans, est responsable réceptionnaire dans une grande surface. Est-ce réalisable ou utopique ? Merci de m'aider.

Connaissant un peu le Sénégal pour le pratiquer depuis quelques années, je te suggère de résider à Ngor : charmant petit village en périphérie de Dakar, au bord de la mer. Seul hic : un peu loin du centre, et si des touristes y vont, ils ne sont que de passage.
sinon, je connais bien d'autres quartiers à vivre en immersion des populations locales, mais ça implique un A/R difficile aux heures de pointe.

Ta vie à Dakar sera dépendante de ton salaire. Tout dépend de ton job et de la branche dans laquelle tu seras. Mais pour te donner une idée, la location d'une villa ou d'un appart avec un "certain confort", compte de 700 000 à 1 million cfa/mois. Ca va même au double...
A toi de voir s'il y a corélation logique entre ton salaire et ton logement.
Beaucoup pensent que la vie n'est pas chère au Sénégal.... mais à Dakar, les logements sont très chers. Pour vivre correctement compte entre 600 et 1000 €/mois, pour le reste.
D'aucuns diront que c'est beaucoup: un "toubab" peut vivre aussi avec 200 €....

Pour débuter je recherche plutôt dans un quartier où je trouverai d'autre expatrier principalement.
bonjour, le mieux n'est pas de venir travailler pour une boite mais de créer son propre emploi.car les salaires ne sont pas top.beaucoup de commerce sont a vendre par exemple ou créer une agence de location de voiture ou moto etc...
salut pour des conseil je vous demande de faire attention et detre discrete dans un premier temps par la suite vous saurez qui frequente car les gens y sont chalereux mais aussi ya des mal intentiones

Je suis en ce moment en Thailande où la population locale est elle aussi préte à donner tous les bons conseils nécessaire😉
Ngor est aussi un quartier sympa avec commerces, banques (distributeurs), pharmacies...pratique d'y prendre le taxi.
La plage où tu peux prendre la pirogue pour te rendre sur l'Ile de Ngor juste en face. Piscines aussi au Diarama, à la Madrague...

tout d'abord, méfiez-vous des sénégalais (ne le prenez pas pour du racisme!) qui vous donnent leur adresse msn.
Il est tout à fait facile de répondre à votre question en quelques lignes:
les quartiers (agréables et sécurisés...SACHEZ QU'IL Y A EU PAS MAL D'AGRESSIONS VERBALE ET PHYSIQUE DE TOUBABS CES ANNEES!!!!!) pour n'être pas loin de toubabs Point E, Ouakam, Mermoz, Mamelles, Ngor côté non populaire et le Plateau en centre ville.
Je vous déconseille les courtiers, le plus souvent ce sont des arnaqueurs! Préférez les agences même si cela a un coût, si vous en avez les moyens.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
