J'ai déjà trouvé quelques infos mais autant dire que les discussions sur le Vanuatu sont peu nombreuses et datent pour la plupart d'un certain nombre d'années!!!
J'aimerai savoir s'il est possible de trouver des appartements meublés peu chers ?
Combien coûtent un ordinateur ? une connexion internet ? un vélo ?
J'ai cru lire (je ne sais plus où) qu'il y avait un cinéma français à Port Vila, est-ce vrai ?
Quel est le budget bouffe pour le mois si on mange local ?
Enfin, savez-vous quel est le % à déduire d'un salaire brut pour en connaître le net ?

Nous habitons en Nouvelle Calédonie et nous sommes partis en vacances au Vanuatu cette année à Port Vila et nous avons trouvé un pays pauvre certe jolie (les paysages) mais pauvre ! c'est un pays indépendant (depuis 20 ans) et cela se vois . Que vas tu faire comme job la bas? les gens parle bichalamar ou Anglais (trés trés français. enfin si je peux te donner un coup de main, pour les ordi et internet c'est cher, déja en Calédonie c'est pas mal ! et le cinéma français à port vila ?? cela m'étonnerai mais bon attention nous y sommes allé en tourisme avac des yeux de touristes, pourtant je ne regarde pas que le surperflu !!

Je pars enseigner au lycée français de Port Vila.
Je me suis un peu renseignée sur le pays, il est vrai que la population locale ne roule pas sur l'or mais à côté de cela les expatriés et le tourisme font gonfler les prix, du coup les loyers ne sont pas bon marché ! Et il me semble que Port Vila est tout de même une ville en pleine expansion, non ?
Pour info (et si ce n'est pas indiscret), combien coûte une connexion internet ? et pour quel débit ?

Pour compléter ma réponse, il y avait en 2003 un cinéma, situé à côté du Mélanésia Hôtel qui se trouve sur la route principale de Port Vila.
J'ai eu l'occasion de visiter un lycée français mais je ne sais s'ils sont tous comme ça. Les salles de classe ressemblent plus ou moins à celles que tu connais, tags en moins et cadre nettement plus agréable. C'est du côté des "cuisines" que tu risques d'être surprise et le moins que l'on puisse dire c'est qu'elles sont plus que rudimentaires mais elles ont leur charme. J'ai quelques photos si cela t'intéresse...
Dire que Port Vila est en pleine expansion est un grand mot, je n'y ai pas vu de différence entre 2003 et 2005. Le niveau de vie est très bas pour la population locale. Les routes sont peu entretenues (nids de poule, il y pleut souvent) et ce sont plus des pistes que de "vraies" routes.
Quoiqu'il en soit, le Vanuatu est un pays qui plaît beaucoup et le dépaysement y est garanti. Tu t'y plairas si tu as l'esprit ouvert et si tu sais t'adapter à ton nouvel environnement. Les ni-vanuatais sont attachants.
Je suis resté quelques jours en 2008 à Port Vila, petite ville qui nous a enchanté où nous avons apprécié la chaleur de l'accueil des Ni-Vanuatu et des expat français.

le vanuatu il parait que c'est super et pas cher du tout, rien à voir avec nouméa !
pauvre, je ne sais pas, ils n'ont pas les mm références que nous concernant la richesse....ils étaient classés peuple le plus heureux en 2007 ou 2008 par l'index happyplanet.

J'aimerais savoir si tu enseignes en primaire ou en secondaire et si tu as ton diplôme de professeur des écoles car je ne sais pas quels critères ils prennent en compte pour classer les candidatures.
Bon moi aussi ce qui me fait peur c'est le prix des locations, courses, etc.
En tout cas si jamais ma candidature est retenue je te fais signe.

ils recrutent donc des résidents et/ou expatriés du primaire et secondaire

J'hésite à accepter le poste car je crains que mon amie ne trouve pas d'emploi sur place...et qu'elle s'ennui.

Venir au Vanuatu sans emploi est quelque peu risqué car la vie y est chère et les propisitions d'offre peu nombreuses. Néanmoins, grand nombre de couple arrivent à Port-Vila avec un seul emploi pour 2 ou plus s'ils sont en famille.
La vie dans le Pacifique est douce et tranquille, le stress inexistant et la gentillesse des gens bien présente !

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
The hectares have remained unused for years due to a lack of financial means, since the project requires what I’d call a considerable investment. As the main stakeholder, I have a minimal contribution to offer.
