surtout ne rien payer en us et ne pas montrer des us!pour les taxis collectifs qui font la navette entre runaway bay et ocho rios, tu dois t attendre parfois a etre 4 a l arriere, la course runaway bay-ocho rios ne doit pas te couter plus de 200 dollars jamaicains, soit 2 euros, aies de la monnaie prete, c est le meme prix pour tous le monde, locaux et visiteurs.. je crois en fait que c est 120 dollars jamaicains..ils n ont pas le droit de te demander plus et tu dois accepter d etre 4 a l arriere..ce sont des taxis dont le tarif est fixe par le gouvernenement..entre ocho rios et runaway way il y a 15 minutes de route.si tu veux prendre un taxi rien que pour toi , ca va te couter beaucouip plus cher, tu dois savoir qu a la jamaique le cout de la vie est le meme qu en france, donc tu peux juger en consequence combien donner a un chauffeur de taxi prive sans le sous-payer, le prix de l essence est d a peu pres un euro par litre et la distance ocho rios-runaway baya peu pres 15 km..il est beaucoup plus interessant de prendre un taxi collectif et d avoir toujours un peu de monnaie disponible pour cela..
Donc si je suis ton conseil je suis mieux de me promener avec des dollars Jamaïcain. C'est ce que je vais faire. Je vais donc faire changer mes dollars CANADIENS en dollars JAMAIQUIN dans une Banque de Ocho Rios. Est-ce qu'on va me demander mon passeport pour faire changer de l'argent dans une Banque?
oui il faut obligatoirement une piece d identite pour changer de l argent en jamaique, mais evite les banques et va plutot dans les cambois, a ocho rios il y en a une quinzaine en competition, ainsi tu auras un meilleur taux.. le mieux a ma connaissance a ocho rios est le cambio a ocean village shopping center, le petit mall derriere la plage publique qui a deux grands parkings, c est au coeur de la ville..c est dans une petite gallerie commercante couverte.. le dollar canadien doit friser le dollar us, dans les 85 ou 86 dollars jamaicains pour un dollar canadien..
Je vais donc me promener avec de l'argent Jamaïcaine uniquement. J'avais écrit à "Coyaba Gardens Mahoe Falls" pour m'informer du coût d'entrée et on m'a dit comme réponse 10$US. C'est pour cela que je voulais apporter des $US mais je payerai mes coûts d'entrée en dollars Jamaîcain.
si tu vas a une attraction ou le prix est affiche en us, on te convertira en jamaicain, mais a un taux bas.. il n y a rien a faire contre cela, desolee..coyaba a un joli petit musee, c est en haut de la ville, et c est vrai que l entree est de 10 us.. il y a aussi les turtle river falls and gardens, anciennement enchanted gardens, un endroit qui vaut bien dunns river falls pour la beaute de ses chutes, mais qui a ete tres mal gere pendant longtemps et qui ne jouit pas de la notoriete de dun s river falls.. il y a notamment une immense voliere ou rentrent les visiteurs et les oiseaux viennent leur manger dans les mains et se poser sur eux, une grande piscine , et plusieurs chutes magnifiques en hauteur dont une baptisee par mick jagger.. coyaba dans le temps possedait egalement un studio d enregistrement ou venait monsieur keith richards en personne enregistrer avec justin hinds, chanteur decede il y a quelques annees..
Hey, I’d like to know which hotel in the south doesn’t force you to wake up at 4 AM just to reserve a shady chair, whether it’s at the beach or the pool.
I wanted to share a great discovery in the Marakele area because, in the end, this park doesn’t get talked about much compared to Kruger, even though it’s really worth the detour.
We discovered Cypiro Leopard Lodge, right next to Marakele National Park in the Waterberg. It’s a small property with just a few villas and suites, so it’s nothing like the big, crowded lodges. What we loved most was the feeling of being truly at the end of the world—lots of space, silence, and almost no one around.
And yet, it’s only about 3 hours from Johannesburg. Once you leave Joburg, the road is pretty straightforward, and you quickly find yourself in a much wilder Africa.
Marakele National Park was a huge surprise for us. There are plenty of animals, the Big Five are present, but best of all, very few people. At times, we drove for quite a while without seeing another car. It’s such a change from parks where you sometimes end up with 15 cars around one animal.
The landscapes are also stunning, with the Waterberg mountains, plains, and beautiful views from some of the trails.
We also learned on-site that Marakele is known for its very large Cape vulture colony—around 800 breeding pairs. When you climb into the mountains and see them soaring above, it’s pretty impressive.
The entire Waterberg region is actually a UNESCO-recognized biosphere reserve, and you quickly understand why once you’re there.
As for Cypiro, it’s a lodge that was recently taken over by French owners—really nice and approachable. The place is quite exclusive since there are very few accommodations. The villas and suites each have their own private pool, a wood-fired hot bath (like a KolKol), a braai, and an outdoor fireplace.
Evenings are especially lovely, especially with the peace and quiet all around.
Another thing we found really convenient: you can organize your stay however you like.
You can come self-catering and cook for yourself. There’s a supermarket in the nearby small town, practically on the way in, so you can do your shopping before arriving without making a big detour.
Or you can ask them to organize everything with breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Their chef, Ernest, cooks really well, and it lets you completely unwind for a few days.
We liked being able to alternate: some quiet meals on our own and others prepared for us.
That’s actually one of the things we appreciated here—it’s not an ultra-formal lodge where everything is scheduled at fixed times. You can head out early to Marakele, come back for lunch, enjoy the pool, go back out in the late afternoon, then have a braai or a relaxed dinner in the evening.
In terms of price, we also found the value for money really good for this level of accommodation and especially for the very private feel of the place. Sometimes it feels like you’re in a much more expensive lodge.
If you’re looking for lots of activity and dozens of people around you, this probably isn’t the right spot.
But for peace, wildlife, nature, wide-open spaces, and that feeling of being a little alone in the world, we absolutely loved it.

I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. Otherwise, I was considering Mexico—a long-time dream. At an all-inclusive hotel with accessibility on one level (since I’m independent but in a wheelchair). The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.

A ce jour elles n apparaissent plus sur mon compte Booking , j en ai informé par mail le service clients mais ce dernier ne repond pas ...donc impossible d annuler ces reservations....Quelqu un a t il connu ce probleme et l a t il resolu ??? Bonjour, j'hésite entre deux hôtels de Cayo Coco….soit leMemories Flamingo , soit leMélia Jardines Del Rey…..si quelqu'un connait ces deux hôtels(ou un seul)et qu'il y a séjourné dans la dernière année(car je sais qu'à Cuba l'entretien des hôtels laisse parfois à désirer et que ça change beaucoup d'une année à l'autre), j'aimerais avoir votre opinion(plage, mer , nourriture, état des chambres etc...) merci !...….ou une autre suggestion d'hôtel…..par contre si je choisis Cuba c'est pour la mer...donc ce critère est à retenir...je tiens à une mer translucide merci
