Je suis en TS d'un lycée français au Maroc, et j'aimerai beaucoup poursuivre mes études au Canada (malgré le coût faramineux des études, d'ailleurs j'en ai pas encore parlé à ma mère seulement à mon père, je n'ose pas 🤪). Il est sût que je souhaiterai m'inscrire dans une faculté de sciences (pures) et, après de longues recherches, voici les universités que j'ai choisies :
- Université de Laval
- Université du Québec
- Université de Montréal
- Université de Sherbrooke
J'ai souvent lu sur internet que la meilleure université ne correspondait pas forcément aux quotas et aux classements, mais aussi à la "spécialisation" de chacune des université (leur points forts) et le choix de la ville.
Personnellement pour le choix de la ville (et pour d'autres facteurs aussi) je pencherai pour Sherbrooke. Mais savez-vous quelle est la meilleure faculté de sciences (pures) entre celles-là ?
Ah oui autre petite question : comment aborder avec sa mère des études qui coûtent près de 30 000 $ l'année (laval) !!!!! (Bon les autres sont moins chers, mais quand même)

Je ne te dirai pas quelle est la meilleure ou la moins bonne faculté.
Ce que je te conseillerais est de contacter d'éventuels employeurs du quebec et de leur demander leur opinion.
C'est ce que j'avais fait et au moment de l'entrevue, les 5 candidats étaient de la meme université.
Apres avoir eu leur point de vue, tu pourras considerer d'autres facteurs.
Tu peux préférer demeure à quebec ou sherbrooke par rapport a montreal. Il y a donc plusieurs points a considerer.
Pour ta famille. Dans la mesure où tu peux te permettre cette somme, considere ces coûts comme etant un investissement pour ta carriere.
Je ne suis pas certaine de savoir ce que vous voulez dire par faculté de sciences pures... Quel domaine voulez-vous étudier? La chimie, la physique, les maths, l, Ingénérie, etc? Appliqué ou pour devenir enseignant?
Par ailleurs, sauf quelques exceptions dans des domaines précis, il n'y a pas de mauvaises facultés dans les grandes université du Québec. Il y en a certaines qui sont mieux reconnues que d'autres, mais ça ne veut pas dire que les autres sont mauvaises.
D'accord avec Gigi. Il n'y a pas de mauvaises universités. Au Canada toutes les universités sont excellentes. Tu dois considérer le programme précis qui t'intéresse, le comparer avec les programmes similaires des autres universités, te renseigner au sujet des particularités concernant les cours, les stages, les services, équipes sportives, l'admission, etc.
L'Universite du Québec n'est pas une université, c'est juste le nom du réseau (ca comprend l'UQAM, UQTR, etc.)
Si l'argent est un problème, il faudra penser à des universités situées à l'exterieur de Montreal, car vivre à Montreal (et même dans sa banlieue) ça coûte cher.
L'Université de Sherbrooke est bien fréquentée par les Nord-Africains. Ville estudiantine avec un bon réseau de transport en commun. Située près de la frontière américaine.
Concernant tes parents, il faut savoir que si tu comptes vivre plus tard au Québec, avoir un diplôme d'une université québécoise est un excellent moyen:
1-Une fois le diplôme obtenu, tu pourras automatiquement avoir ton CSQ, ce qui te permettra de faire une demande de résidence permanente au fédéral.
2-Un diplôme québécois est quasi essentiel pour faire carrière au Québec. L'intégration sur le marché du travail sera facilitée.
3-Un diplôme dans un domaine comme les maths, l'informatique, les sciences et technologies, architecture, etc. permet de travailler pour un employeur américain ou mexicain grâce à l'ALENA (il faudra devenir Canadien)
4-Il y a un vol direct à chaque semaine entre Montréal et Casablanca 😉

Au Québec, on applique dans un programme et non en sciences pures, ou sciences humaines. Il faut donc appliquer en chimie, ou en physique, ou en génie physique, ou en génie mécanique, etc. Il faut donc décider ce que vous voulez faire exactement comme diplome avant de pouvoir vous conseiller.

Justement, je savais déjà que toutes les universités était TB, j'ai juste entendu dire que certaines sont plus "reconnues" que d'autres dans un domaine particulier. Par exemple, il me semble que tout ce qui tout qui touche au journalisme est un point fort de l'université de Montréal. Je voulais savoir la même chose pour les sciences.

Oui, le choix se fait maintenant. Comme je l'ai dit, vous devez appliquer dans un programme. C'est la façon dont ça fonctionne ici. Pour faire une explication courte, ici, nous faisons 7 ans d'école primaire (incluant la maternelle), 5 ans d'école secondaire, puis si nous voulons aller à l'université, nous devons faire 2 ans de Cegep dans un programme plus général, comme sciences pures, ou sciences humaines, ou langues, ou arts, etc. Après, nous appliquons à l'université dans un programme qui nous donnera un diplome nous donnant accès au marché de l'emploi. Pour la majorité (totaliét?) des programmes de sciences pures à l'université, il y a des prèrequis, comme avoir suivi un certain nombre de cours de chimique, ou physique, ou math, etc.

Il faut postuler pour un programme précis. Tu peux postuler pour plusieurs programmes, dans plusieurs universités, mais à chaque demande d'admission il y a des frais de dossier à payer. Idéalement, tu postules dans au moins 2 ou 3 programmes si c'est contingenté (si ce n'est pas contingenté, la question ne se pose pas vraiment, tu es presque sûr d'être admis si tu respectes les critères d'admission).
Comme Gigi la bien expliqué, il faudrait savoir le programme qui t'intéresse avant de te conseiller davantage....

Je te conseille de regarder les sites des universités pour voir les programmes, tu en sauras plus. Mais comme je l'ai dit, ce sont des programmes qui donnent accès au marché du travail, alors c'est spécifique, précis.
Sinon, tu peux toujours faire un bacc multidisciplinaire, par exemple réunir 3 certificats (certificat: 30 crédits/1 an d'études) mais cela ne mène à rien, tu ne pourras pas travailler avec 3 certificats pour faire un bacc, pas en sciences pures en tout cas. Et ça me surprendrait que tu obtiennes un visa d'étude pour faire un certificat...

Je n'en ai aucune idée. Les études coûtent beaucoup moins pour les étudiants canadiens que pour les étrangers. J'imagine que le site internet des université mentionne les prix pour les étrangers.

Une année d'étude au Canada te coûtera plus cher qu'en France, c'est à peu près certain.
Tu peux regarder un estimé ici de combien coûte une année à l'Université de Moncton, au Nouveau-Brunswick. Ce n'est pas au Québec, mais les frais sont sensiblement les mêmes, ça te donnera une idée:
Compte entre 15 000$ et 20 000$ pour une année d'études au Québec (la ville, l'université, le type d'habitation, les assurances, tes habitudes alimentaires, le coût du visa, etc. influenceront le coût final, mais ça devrait être dans cette braguette de prix).
Si on regarde sur le site de l'Université de Montréal, il y a aussi un estimé des frais pour les Marocains:

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
