We are doing well and working hard to recover, Club El Mandarin did not suffer any mayor damages and will be ready on Nov 24 for a soft opening with around 55 rooms available, and then from December 1st we are going to be working with the 100% of our room capacity.
For now two of our three restaurants will be functioning (La Fazenda buffet restaurant and Quetzal our gourmet a la cart restaurant), we are rebuilding the palapa by the pool (Mandarin Restaurant for snacks during the day and Mexican specialties Restaurant at night), but in order to provide a good service to our costumers we are going to set up a nice grill and bar for snacks by the pool during the day, until we finish with El Mandarin Restaurant (end of December); other than that the hotel will be ready and offering all the facilities and services that our all inclusive plan offers.
Also I would like to comment that we gained a few meters of beach and that is nice for the hotel.

je reviens du mandarin et il y a un café internet dans l'hotel.....cepandant il est quand meme dispendieux (14$ de l'heure) si tu compare a playa del carmen (5e avenue..2.80$ de l'heure).....je ne crois pas qu'il y est de connection au chambre sans avoir vérifié......voici l'adresse de M. Bonjour, ns partons pr le el mandarin le 4 février prochain et j'aimerais bien avoir des infos sur cet hotel. Bouffe, chambre, plage, excursion etc et si c'est possible l'adresse e mail du site j''essaie de les contacter mais je n'ai pas encore trouvé la bonne adresse.
je prends quelques minutes pour vous faire par de mes commentaires sur l'hôtel El Mandarin, Je ne recommanderais pas cet hôtel à aucun de mes amis, ce n'est définitivement pas un 4 étoiles, il n'y a pas assez de serveurs, le restaurant (cafétéria) est débordé et bruyant, même situation avec le bar, et le restaurant au deuxième qui est à la carte est attaqué par les gens pour réussir à avoir une table. Je n'ai vraiment pas de commentaires négatifs pour le personnel car ils font leur possible mais je ne suis pas impressionné par l'administration de l'hôtel, un autre exemple, le souper du 1er janvier, nous devions avoir une réservation pour une table, j'avais fait ma réservation un des premiers et le soir du souper à mon arrivé à ma table, il avait donné ma table à un autre couple, des petites choses quand bout ligne agaces la patience et me confirme que cet hôtel n'est pas un 4 étoiles. La disponibilité des catamarans était selon le bon vouloir des responsables, souvent pas employés ou ils donnaient la réservation à un autre s’ils avaient un pourboire, etc..
On m’avait parlé qu’il y avait probablement de la petite roche à la mer cause de l’ouragan, il y avait plus que ça d’énorme débris dans le fond de la mer, tapis, bois… d’énorme roche en plein milieu de la mer qui blessaient les pieds, mon garçon a perdu un ongle d’orteil au complet en allant se baigner à la mer.
j'avais demandé une chambre près de la piscine ou la mer et j'avais demandé d'envoyer un courriel de l'agence, j'ai confirmé à mon arrivée qu'il avait bien reçu le courriel et ils m'ont fait attendre toute l'après-midi avant de me donner une chambre à l'opposer de ma demande, ils m'ont dit de prendre cette chambre car il n'avait pas d'autres possibilités et qu'ils me changeraient de chambre le lendemain, nous n’avons pas défait nos valises et j'ai attendu le lendemain matin pour me faire dire qu'ils n'avaient pas d'autres chambres de disponibles et qu'ils me préviendraient par un message à la chambre lorsqu'ils auraient une chambre pour nous, (il n'y avait pas de téléphone à l'hôtel, brisé) après avoir été très patient 5 jours, j'ai retourné à la réception et j'ai demandé qu'elle était la situation avec ma chambre et le superviseur m'a demandé 30$ us par jour de plus si je voulais une autre chambre, j'étais vraiment insulté et j'ai pas voulu briser mes vacances donc j'ai passé par-dessus cette situation qui est selon moi inconcevable.
Pour terminer aujourd'hui (1 fév) j'ai reçu un compte sur ma visa, que j'ai jamais autorisé et ils vous demande à l'arrivé de prendre un print sur votre carte. J'étais à l'hôtel durant le rush des fêtes du 24 déc au 7 janv.
Point positif pour terminer, 14 jours de beau temps.
🙂bonjour, merci pour tes commentaires, ns sommes presentement au el madarin ns avons eu le meme probleme pr la chambre on ns a fait la meme reponse on attend tjrs la nouvelle...on s est tanne et j ai defait les valises . La plage est tres belle pas de roches il vente un peu mais c est une temperature agreable le jour 28 par contre le soir on a besoin d un p tit quelque chose sur les epaules 20. La bouffe est bien et le personnel agreable. En bref passons de belles vacances

At all-inclusive resorts, base salaries are extremely low for 10- to 12-hour workdays. Tips aren’t just a little extra—they often make up half of these families’ income.
Personally, I always prepare an envelope with euro bills in different denominations before I leave (they exchange them easily on-site). Here’s my method:
🛏️ For housekeeping: I leave a bill on the pillow every morning since schedules rotate daily.
🍽️ For servers: I always sit at the same table. At the end of the trip, I give an envelope to each server who took care of us daily.
🎉 For entertainment: I set aside an envelope for the animator who put in the most effort and really touched me.
The package covers the hotel, but our tips help support the people who make our vacations magical. Don’t forget to budget for this in cash when you pack!

For my husband's 50th birthday, we're going to Mombasa for 10 days and 8 nights in March 2026.
I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

Hi everyone, I’m writing here because I’m really torn—I want to go on a trip. A vacation? 10 to 12 days, maybe 14 days. Starting March 14th. I’m in a wheelchair but completely independent. I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. Otherwise, I was considering Mexico—a long-time dream. At an all-inclusive hotel with accessibility on one level (since I’m independent but in a wheelchair). Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)
1. All-inclusive
2. Adults-only
3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

Hi there, I’m a 43-year-old woman planning to travel solo in early March. I’m not really into "commercial resorts," but if I find a place that fits my criteria, I might be interested. To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.

A ce jour elles n apparaissent plus sur mon compte Booking , j en ai informé par mail le service clients mais ce dernier ne repond pas ...donc impossible d annuler ces reservations....Quelqu un a t il connu ce probleme et l a t il resolu ???
