Sandos Playacar qui est un 4* 1/2 est très bien...
Il y a 3 catégories de chambre...les plus belles a mon avis sont les riviera mais sont plus loin de la plage....bain tourbillon et douche italienne vitré...et lit très confortable...avec le privilège sélect club vous avez toujours de bon lit disponible ;-)
La plage n'a aucunement besoin de soulier et aussi réserve sur place pour avoir privilège select club qui vaut la peine avec les lits coussinés à la plage...etc....Et tu es à playacar et tu as un petit village agréable et à 5 minutes de playa Del Carmen pour visite des bars et des boutiques et resto...vous pourvez même le faire à pied....
La bouffe est très bonne et vous avez un bon service et tous est propre propre :-)

Je sais qu'il y a un aéroport à playa del carmen, mais personne n’en parle alors j'imagine qu'il ne reçoit pas les vols avec gros porteur. Combien de temps pour se rendre à playacar de l'aéroport ? Peux-tu m'en dire un peu plus sur cette fameuse 5* av ou rue ? Mille mercis pour ton aide.

Je ne me souviens plus du temps, peut-être 30-40 minutes max...
5 ième Playa del carment..resto bar etc...comme je te disais 20 minutes à pieds et 5 minutes en taxi pour 5$.
Et village de playacar 5 minutes à pied ;-) 😎
Premièrement, tu arriveras à Cancun qui est à 1 hre de route de Playa Del Carmen et non moins! Dépendamment si ton hôtel se situe entre Playa Del Carmen et Cancun, là c'est autre chose! ET si tu veux profiter de Playa Del Carmen, je ne te le conseille pas.
Je suis allé à plusieurs reprises à Playa Del Carmen et pas besoin d'aller dans de gros hôtels très luxueux non plus et si tu veux avoir près de Playa Del Carmen et la plage, je te conseille les hôtels dans Playacar, et tu as de très bons petits hôtels en tout-inclus, tel que Viva Wyndham Azteca (à 15 minutes à pied de Playa Del Carmen), Hotel Viva Wyndham Maya (un peu plus loin), tu as aussi tous les RIU, mais si tu prends le Lupita, il est situé derrière le Golf, loin de la plage et tu dois prendre la navette (gratuite) qui t'y mènes, mais tu as les autres RIU qui sont le Tequila (situé en face d'un autre RIU de l'autre côté de la rue... mais tu as accès à tous les RIU du même niveau, donc tu passe la journée au 2 autres suivants... le Yucatan et le Playacar, situés sur la plage directement. Tu peux te rendre à pied jusqu'à Playa Del Carmen et ça se fait super bien, puisque tu peux même visiter des ruines Maya en longeant le trottoir... et je te conseille de descendre vers l'océan, prendre le petit chemin dans le bois, qui passe au côté des ruines et tu vas en trouver d'autres et te retrouver dans un quartier résidentiel très joli et agréable de s'y balader dans les petites rues et qui vont jusqu'à Playa Del Carmen en remontant l'une de celle-ci.
Tu as d'autres hôtels situés directement dans Playa Del Carmen et qui sont au bord de la mer, tel que Grand Porto Real Resort, très bon hotel et situé à Playa Del Carmen. Ça dépend du budget que tu veux y mettre, mais à Playacar (près de Playa Del Carmen) tu as plein d'hôtels. Je pourrais t'en nommer plusieurs... t'as juste à les visionner et revenir poser ta question si tu veux avoir des avis sur les hôtels.
Si tu as envie de connaître un peu plus le Playa Del Carmen, je te conseille d'aller te balader dans les autres rues qui se trouvent au dessus de la 5ième et on y retrouve des restos moins dispendieux et tout aussi bons. Les commerçants de la 5ième Ave. sont des Indiens de l'Inde et non des Mexicains, mais leurs employés sont des Mexicains qui sont trrrrrrès euh... accaparents, mais les commerçants derrières le sont moins et tu peux trouver des p'tits trucs pas chers et des restos ou encore, je te conseille de t'arrêter dans les p'tits kiosques à roulette que les Mexicains aiment bien y manger bebout et ceux situés dans les rues arrières... c'est EXCELLENT et tellement pas cher et sympathiques en plus :)
Tu as les Colectivos pour te balader aussi, je parle ici, si tu veux aller à Tulum ou Xel-Ha ou Xcaret ou Cancun et tu as même un terminus qui te mènes à Cancun et autres endroits... moins dispendieux que les taxis. Mais un taxi aller-retour de Playa Del Carmen à Playacar est de 5$ us

En fait ce n'est pas que je tripe sur la 5 ième mais moi et mon épouse aimons bien sortir de l'hôtel et visiter des choses à pied et apprendre un peu à connaitre la culture de l'endroit. Un membre du forum m'a recommandé le Sandos playacar. Bref, nous cherchons un hôtel tout inclus , où la mer est belle et non agitée. Et pas obligé de porter des souliers de plage pour se baigner.Mais étant sensible au soleil nous cherchons un hôtel où les palapas sont nombreux. Il semble effectivement que playacar soit un bon endroit indiqué. Il reste maintenant à choisir lequel. Et probablement vers le mois de novembre 2011. Mille mercis pour votre aide.
Tu sembles chercher un hôtel assez classe et en tout-inclus, je te conseilles fortement les RIU, d'où tu as accès à TOUS les Riu de la même catégorie et en plus, tu peux prendre la navette pour te rendre à Playa Del Carmen et ce... gratuitement! Ils possèdent leur propre navette qui se prend à l'entrée de la plage tout près du RIU Playacar. Mais je t'avoue que mon préféré des RIU est le Tequila qui n'est pas sur la plage, mais combien il est joli et situé de l'autre côté de la rue. J'ai aussi logé au Viva Azteca et que j'adooooore et plus petit et un 3½ étoiles et j'aime son ambiance chaleureuse et situé à 15 minutes de Playa Del Carmen à pied.
Les plages ont toutes été rénovées à Playacar, donc pas besoin de souliers 😉
Par contre, tu as le Grand Porto Real directement au centre-ville de Playa Del Carmen et un très luxueux hôtel. Mais pour ma part, ce n'est pas ce que je recherche. 🙂 J'aimerais même me louer un p'tit condo à Playacar une bonne fois, quand j'aurais plus de 2 semaines à y passer.
Si tu aimes te mélanger aux gens, bon... côté danse sociale... euh!? 🤪 Je ne crois pas que tu trouveras... en tout cas, ça ne me dit rien! Mais les clubs ouvrent tard et les gens se couchent quand le soleil se lève... mais, tu peux trouver des endroits intéressants, surtout en descendant vers l'océan, il y a plusieurs bons p'tits clubs. C'est assez américanisé comme musique et tu as de tout quand même côté musique, simplement en te baladant sur la 5ième, tu entends la musique ou les musiciens. On a même arrêter dans un Pub avec du Rock and Blues... sûrement que tu pourras trouver quelque chose à ton goût? Demande à ta ou ton responsable de ton T.O. (tour operateur)

I wanted to share a great discovery in the Marakele area because, in the end, this park doesn’t get talked about much compared to Kruger, even though it’s really worth the detour.
We discovered Cypiro Leopard Lodge, right next to Marakele National Park in the Waterberg. It’s a small property with just a few villas and suites, so it’s nothing like the big, crowded lodges. What we loved most was the feeling of being truly at the end of the world—lots of space, silence, and almost no one around.
And yet, it’s only about 3 hours from Johannesburg. Once you leave Joburg, the road is pretty straightforward, and you quickly find yourself in a much wilder Africa.
Marakele National Park was a huge surprise for us. There are plenty of animals, the Big Five are present, but best of all, very few people. At times, we drove for quite a while without seeing another car. It’s such a change from parks where you sometimes end up with 15 cars around one animal.
The landscapes are also stunning, with the Waterberg mountains, plains, and beautiful views from some of the trails.
We also learned on-site that Marakele is known for its very large Cape vulture colony—around 800 breeding pairs. When you climb into the mountains and see them soaring above, it’s pretty impressive.
The entire Waterberg region is actually a UNESCO-recognized biosphere reserve, and you quickly understand why once you’re there.
As for Cypiro, it’s a lodge that was recently taken over by French owners—really nice and approachable. The place is quite exclusive since there are very few accommodations. The villas and suites each have their own private pool, a wood-fired hot bath (like a KolKol), a braai, and an outdoor fireplace.
Evenings are especially lovely, especially with the peace and quiet all around.
Another thing we found really convenient: you can organize your stay however you like.
You can come self-catering and cook for yourself. There’s a supermarket in the nearby small town, practically on the way in, so you can do your shopping before arriving without making a big detour.
Or you can ask them to organize everything with breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Their chef, Ernest, cooks really well, and it lets you completely unwind for a few days.
We liked being able to alternate: some quiet meals on our own and others prepared for us.
That’s actually one of the things we appreciated here—it’s not an ultra-formal lodge where everything is scheduled at fixed times. You can head out early to Marakele, come back for lunch, enjoy the pool, go back out in the late afternoon, then have a braai or a relaxed dinner in the evening.
In terms of price, we also found the value for money really good for this level of accommodation and especially for the very private feel of the place. Sometimes it feels like you’re in a much more expensive lodge.
If you’re looking for lots of activity and dozens of people around you, this probably isn’t the right spot.
But for peace, wildlife, nature, wide-open spaces, and that feeling of being a little alone in the world, we absolutely loved it.
I’ll add a few photos with this post—it’ll probably be more telling! 😊
And if anyone knows Marakele or the Waterberg well, I’d love to hear about other spots to discover in the area.
While digging through the archives 🔍, we discovered a 19th-century journal 📜 bearing the name: "Le Petit Baigneur, weekly journal of beaches, spa towns, and thermal resorts in the South of France", published as early as 1886. Its motto? "All for the baths and by the baths" 🏖️ — what a program!
We found the name so amusing that we chose it to rename our hotel: Hôtel Le Petit Baigneur!
140 years later, we’re carrying on this seaside tradition of the South of France in our own way 🏊♂️ — with a few fewer crinolines, but just as much love for the seaside. 😊

I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

Hi everyone, I’m writing here because I’m really torn—I want to go on a trip. A vacation? 10 to 12 days, maybe 14 days. Starting March 14th. I’m in a wheelchair but completely independent. I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. Otherwise, I was considering Mexico—a long-time dream. At an all-inclusive hotel with accessibility on one level (since I’m independent but in a wheelchair). Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)

2. Adults-only
3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.

A ce jour elles n apparaissent plus sur mon compte Booking , j en ai informé par mail le service clients mais ce dernier ne repond pas ...donc impossible d annuler ces reservations....Quelqu un a t il connu ce probleme et l a t il resolu ???
