Il y eu de nombreuses discussions sur l’obtention du visa, mais j’aurais besoin de 2 précisions.
Me femme et moi souhaitons aller en Iran en mai prochain pour 3-4 semaines, en individuel. Nous habitons Lyon, donc ça ne nous arrange pas vraiment de devoir nous rendre à Paris pour le visa, surtout plus d’une fois.
Si je récapitule les informations que j’ai pu trouver ici ou ailleurs, nous avons 2 options.
OBTENIR LE VISA EN FRANCE
La procédure serait celle-ci :
1. Obtenir un numéro d’autorisation par l’intermédiaire d’une agence iranienne (touranzamin, ou autre), qui transmettra ce numéro au consulat à Paris.
2. Se rendre au consulat à Paris pour déposer les empreintes, et déposer en même temps le dossier complet et les passeports.
3. Le consulat peut nous renvoyer les passeports par la poste.
Dans ce cas nous aurions le visa à l’avance, et il serait possible d’en obtenir d’emblée un pour 3 ou 4 semaines.
Question : la procédure ci-dessus est-elle correcte ?

Dans ce cas nous obtiendrons un visa de 15 jours à l’arrivée à l’aéroport, que nous pourrions sans difficulté faire prolonger sur place.

Question : quelqu’un peut-il confirmer avoir pu embarquer à Paris sans problème avec Turkish Airlines (ou autre), avec un vol de retour à plus de 15 jours du départ ?

Si tu regardes le site de l'ambassade d'Iran (mais est-il à jour ?), le numéro d'autorisation de visa n'est même pas obligatoire : il permet juste de réduire la procédure de 2 à 1 semaine.
Pour le reste, je vais attendre les réponses à tes questions car je compte moi aussi me rendre en Iran (mais en été, donc j'ai le temps).
Mais ce serait bien d'avoir des expériences vécues de la chose...
Et je suis aussi très intéressé par la solution "visa à l'arrivée", avec seulement ce risque de refus à l'embarquement à cause d'un billet de retour plus tardif que les 15 jours du visa standard obtenu à l'arrivée. Là aussi, des experiénces vécues seraient une grande aide. 🙂
Vous avez très bien résumé les démarches à suivre pour l'obtention de votre visa via l'ambassade et jusqu'à ce jour, le numéro d'autorisation est bel et bien obligatoire.
Avec ma coéquipière, nous avions également lu qu'il était possible de s'en passer mais renseignement pris auprès de l'ambassade, il faut absolument inscrire ce fameux numéro dans son dossier (coût:35E si vous passez par Touran Zamin).
Si les choses ont changées depuis, j'en serai la première ravie car l'économie n'est pas négligeable.
Pour le billet d'avion, hélas je ne vous serai pas d'une grande aide et j'en suis navrée.
Oui l'ambassade est catégorique sur ce numéro. Les renseignements datent de l'été dernier, voilà pourquoi je suis toute ouïe quant à d'éventuelles changements mais j'en doute fortement. Je suis même persuadée que les procédures d'obtention resteront les mêmes pendant quelques temps encore.
Si j'y retourne, je demanderai mon visa directement à l'aéroport qui semble très facile à obtenir à en croire les témoignages récents de voyageurs.
Concernant le billet d'avion, si vous n'obtenez pas de réponse à votre question, peut-être que l'ambassade saura également vous renseigner à ce sujet.

Le numéro d'autorisation du MFA n'est pas obligatoire pour déposer la demande de visa (et ce depuis plusieurs années), mais il permet de réduire le délai entre dépôt du dossier et obtention du visa —> voir autre fil de discussion récent avec les mots clé "délai visa iran" dans le titre.
Depuis peu, pour ceux qui ont le numéro, il n'y a plus prise d'empreintes à Paris, mais attention, je ne suis pas sûre que le consulat accepte les demandes de visa par correspondance —> voir l'autre fil de discussion récent avec les mots clé "empreintes visa iran" dans le titre. On peut par contre sans problème se faire renvoyer le passeport en fournissant une enveloppe Chronopost ou autre recommandé à notre adresse.
Le visa à l'arrivée dans un aéroport international (càd Teheran, Mashhad, Tabriz ou Shiraz) peut, dans quelques très rares cas, être refusé. C'est exceptionnel mais il y a sur ce forum un témoignage de passager refoulé à l'arrivée.

J'ai eu 3 confirmations en message privé de voyageurs qui ont embarqué sans problème : un avec Turkish, un avec Azerbaidjan Airlines, le 3e je ne sais pas. Bien sûr on ne peut être sûr à 100%.

Avez vous déjà fait votre demande de visa sans ce fameux numéro d'authentification..., j'ai fait ma demande récemment et suivi la procédure mais sans numéro en prenant en compte les remarques de l'ambassade :
- le délai pour l'obtention du visa est d'une semaine avec le numéro via une agence de voyage,
- le délai est de deux semaines sans numéro.
Mais c'est tout de même un peu stressant car je n'ai pas trouvé de personnes ayant suivi cette démarche; Et je vois les commentaires des autres voyageurs qui affirment l'obligation de ce numéro pour un visa de tourisme. Comment avez vous fait?
C'est intéressant ce que tu dis là. J'étais à l'ambassade ce matin et il m'a semblé qu'il y a un mec à qui on a bien pris la tête sur le fait que le numéro était obligatoire, j'ai peut-être mal compris.
Pour ma part j'ai fait la demande auprès de l'agence dont les coordonnées sont dans le lien. J'ai reçu le numéro au bout de 10 jours. Là on te dis d'attendre 3 jours avant de te présenter à l'ambassade et pour finir on m'annonce que mon visa sera prêt le 11 avril. Soit dans 2 semaines et demi.

La démarche est vraiment compliquée. J'espère recevoir mon passport et visa cette semaine.
Voilà comme j'ai procédé. En lisant les commentaires des internautes, je suis finalement passé par une agence iranienne Touran Zamir qui m'a donné toute satisfaction et m'a délivré le numéro d'autorisation sous 2 semaines environ.
quelques jours après la réception du précieux numéro, l'ambassade d'Iran m'a contacté (miracle...) après les multiples tentatives et m'a donné la marche à suivre:
Il faut donc :
- la réservation de l'hotel,
- la photocopie du billet d'avion
L'information est arrivée un peu tard, car j'avais payé l'agence 35 euros.
Pour avoir réussi à les avoir, c'est grâce au courrier envoyé par fax. Je vous suggère si vous voulez confirmer les pièces nécessaires pour l'obtention du visa de leur poser les questions par fax. Par mail et téléphone, ils ne répondent pas !!!
Vous avez du temps, si votre départ est en août, mais je vous suggère de commencer les démarches dès maintenant...pour être moins stressé
A vos interrogations pour le visa, le réceptionniste de l'ambassade m'a confirmé que le service des visas ne répondait pas au téléphone car probablement débordé mais si vous envoyez un fax à l'ambassade PAS au service des visas. L'ambassade demandera alors au service des visas de vous rappeler et vous pourrez j'espère avoir les réponses en direct à toutes vos questions qu'il faudra avoir préparé.

Après de nombreuses tentatives pour contacter l'ambassade, j'ai été finalement appelé par téléphone, il me suggérait de donner la confirmation de la première nuit d'hotel ainsi que la photocopie du billet d'avion pour obtenir le visa. Mais entretemps, j'ai contacté l"agence Touram Zamir à Téhéran pour obtenir le fameux numéro mais payant !!! alors si vous etes 6, ça fait un peu cher.
A l'ambassade, Ils ne répondent pas au mail, ni telephone, par contre à 2 reprises j'ai envoyé un fax, j'ai été contacté aussitôt.
Je vous suggère de leur envoyer un fax en leur demandant les pièces nécessaires pour le visa, ne pas l'envoyer au service des visas, mais celui de l'ambassade, ils feront le nécessaire ensuite auprès du service des visas.
J'ai reçu mon visa par la poste!
Et avez vous pensé au visa à l'arrivée, ça l'air de bien fonctionner?!!!

I’m planning a trip from France to Alberta/British Columbia, and I’m unsure about which bank card to use for the security deposit with the rental company (I’m thinking of going with AVIS).
I contacted Avis Canada, and they told me a credit card is absolutely required. I asked my bank for a credit card (a *real* credit card), but they only offered me a deferred debit card.
My question: For a rental with Avis Canada, is a Gold International Mastercard deferred debit card usable for the security deposit needed to finalize the rental? Is the "CREDIT" label enough? (Some cards say "CREDIT" and others say "CARTE DE CREDIT"—seems minor, but it’s actually a big deal in how the card works.)
I’ve seen conflicting info everywhere I look... My bank says it’s *usually* okay (the deferred debit card), while Avis Canada insists it *must* be a credit card, not debit—even when I mention the deferred debit card.
I know the whole credit card concept is already confusing, and on top of that, some sites say a deferred debit card counts as a credit card, while others say it doesn’t.

I’ll explain my situation.
Unfortunately, I lost my passport, and I only realized it two weeks before my departure for a humanitarian mission in Libya. I’m a nurse, and this mission really means a lot to me.
First, I applied for an emergency passport, but it was denied by the Val-d'Oise prefecture on the grounds that a planned humanitarian mission wasn’t considered an urgent reason.
So, I submitted a biometric passport application on July 20th. Since then, the tracking has been stuck, and the town hall can’t (or won’t) give me any clear information. Every time I call, I get a different story. The last update I received was that the passport had been produced since July 23rd with a status of "about to be shipped," but nothing since then.
I’ve managed to push my departure back to next Tuesday at the latest, but I’m starting to really panic.
Have any of you submitted an application around July 20th, especially in Val-d'Oise (95)? How long did you wait between the passport being produced and it being available at the town hall? Is it normal for this step to take this long?
This mission means so much to me. I had everything organized, and I’m also supposed to attend a friend’s wedding right after near the border.

I’m a bit embarrassed because I need to travel to Quebec from February 27th to March 13th. I’m a regular visitor to Canada—this will be my 10th trip since 1997, plus a year as a permanent resident (2000–2001) and a cross-country run from Vancouver to Halifax in 2011. So, I’m definitely not a terrorist!
But since our last trip in July 2015, they’ve introduced this eTA thing. Seems more like a way to make money than to actually secure Canada, if you ask me, but anyway, that’s not the point.
I applied for an eTA for myself, my wife, and our two kids. They all got approved within hours, but not me! I was asked to create a GC key and then an IRCC account, which I did. Normally, you get news within 72 hours, but since Monday, January 15th, nothing!
In the "message" section of the account, it says "explanation letter (required)" with a deadline of January 25th, but I can’t find any explanation anywhere—despite searching the Canadian government website and Google. No links, nothing!
I’ve emailed them but haven’t heard back yet. I’m thinking of calling the Canadian embassy in Paris tomorrow. Even though I’m not stressing yet, it’d be a bummer if everyone else got to go without me!
If anyone’s had this issue before or knows what this explanation letter is about, I’d love to hear more.

I bought a one-way flight (Ryanair) and a return flight (EasyJet) to spend a week in Morocco in April.
My passport expires 3 weeks after the return date.
Some websites say the passport must be valid for 3 months at the time of entry.
However, it will still be valid both on entry and return, but its validity will only be 1 month at the time of entry (and 3 weeks on the return date, everything prepaid).
It's an individual family trip.
The consulate can't give me an answer—they're still looking into it (really!)
Last year, we stayed for 3 months in Thailand, north of Khao Lak, and were able to benefit from the 2-month visa exemption, renewable for one month by going to Takua Pa to validate a 1-month extension (1,900 baht).
This year, it’s a disaster for us—not only were we planning a 4-month stay, adding a visa run in between (which some say is quite risky), but the law is apparently changing in the coming months with the return of the 1-month exemption (plus the usual 1-month option). So, we looked into applying for a 6-month multiple-entry visa, allowing a maximum of 60 consecutive days in Thailand. However, I can’t find anywhere the minimum time required outside Thailand between two stays—do any of you have an idea?

As a French national, I need to obtain a short-stay visa that can be converted to a long-stay one. To do this, I have to send the required documents to the Madagascar embassy in Paris.
No issues with that procedure so far.
If I get this visa, once I arrive in Madagascar, I’ll need to provide the same documents to the Ministry of the Interior in Anosy. I’m trying to find an email address or website for the Ministry to check which documents I need to submit (I think they ask for additional ones).

I’d like to know if anyone has already applied for a private visa to Russia with an invitation from a Russian resident.
I traveled earlier this year with an e-visa, but since I want to stay longer, I’ll be visiting my friend who lives in eastern Russia.
For the visa application, does the invitation need to be on an official paper form issued by the Russian ministry? And most importantly, do I need to present the original for the application, or is there an electronic version that can be sent directly to the consulate in France?

I filled out the B2 form to apply for a visa, created an account on Atvis to pay the visa fees and schedule a meet-up, but every time I try to pay with my Boursobank Visa 1st card, they refuse the payment with a message telling me to check my details (address), even though everything is correct. Does anyone know why this is happening, or maybe they don’t accept Visa cards? Are you aware of this?

Paper documents might not be accepted.

On her ticket, it only has her maiden name (e.g., Martine DUPOND).
On her passport, it’s written as Martine DUPOND épouse AVRY.
No issues for travel, I hope I did the right thing with the ticket?
Then for the ESTA, is just Martine DUPOND enough, or do I need to include the "épouse AVRY" part like on the passport?

I saw on the French Embassy in Peru’s website and the Peruvian Consulate in Paris’s site that the rule is to have a passport valid for 6 months *after the arrival date* (not the return date).
I arrive in Peru on August 13, 2019 (for about twelve days), and my passport is valid until February 16, 2020.
That’s 6 months and 3 days after my arrival date in Peru. In my opinion, I’m good to go.
But could I still be denied entry if they say I don’t cover the return date or that I’m too close to the 6-month mark?
I read on the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs website that it’s possible to apply for a temporary driving permit in China, valid for 1 month.
