Hi there,

I’m cycling around the world and will soon arrive in Thailand. Is it easy to park my bike at hotels? If so, what are the usual arrangements? Thanks in advance!

Hi,

No specific rules—just check with your accommodation directly when you arrive, or if you’ve already booked, send them an email to find out what to do.
Cordialement, Patrick.

Hi there,

I’ve been in Thailand for a month now (another trip here). About 90% of the time, I take my bike into the room. Some places even recommend it. Otherwise, like yesterday, the owner asked me to park my ride in the guesthouse lobby. I’ve also left my bike in the hotel parking lot, locked to a fixed point with a bike lock. All the places have security cameras.

In Laos and Cambodia, it’s the same. But in Vietnam, it seems odd to bring your bike into a hotel room.

Happy travels

Thanks for your replies. I’ll check with the managers when I get there. Safe travels!
