Bonjour.Je me permets de te repondre a ta demande de renseignements concernant la vie en Thailande.Je connais un peu la vie la bas puisque j y suis deja allé 3 fois en tant que touriste.La premiere fois , j avais pris un sejour avec hotel et demi pension a Phuket mais les 2 séjours suivant j ai pris moi meme les devant en prenant un billet d avion sur le net et j ai aussi réservé un studio toujours sur le net.Je suis allé la premiere fois a Phuket et par la suite Bangkok, Pattaya, Koh samui.Que du bonheur...La vie est peu chere, surtout la nourriture thai qui est super bonne!Louer un studio coute environ selon la durée entre 12 et 18 Euro.Tu peux trouver encore moins chere en bord de mer des bungalows pour pas grand chose.Louer une 125 coute environ 5 a 7 euro par jour.Laisser seulement une copie de ton passeport et bien rouler a gauche!!! Au niveau santé, dans les grandes villes et stations balneaires pas trop de risques a part Koh samet en bord de mer ou parait il ca craint le palu...Moi personnellement je n avais fais aucun traitement.Il est recommandé de se protéger surtout si tu vas dans les zones frontalieres, coté Birmanie et Laos.Ce qui coute le plus cher, ce sont les belles thailandaises!Et encore les prix sont dérisoire...Si tu veux encore des infos, fais moi signe.ARNAUD

Je ne veux pas passer pr un chiant de service mais franchement take care😊 et ne fais pas trop de plan sur la comète...car je ne pense pas qu'un CCM soit accordé pr des personnes ne s'étant jamais vu

anecdote , un ami me raconte une histoire similaire .. je lui dis .. donne moi le non .. et ja vais voir .. une fois que madame était en ligne .. je raconte ma solitude dans bkk et la recherche de la femme idéale etc .. MOI me dit elle après 5 ou 10 minutes de chat
.. puis sa continue comme cela .. seulement le méchant thuan .. faisait des copier coller pour le copain qui etait effondrer par ce qui se passait .. 😉 et pire .......... je me suis fait prendre en photo avec la belle dans un macdonald .. 😎

tiens a chaud cela me donné une idée pour ceux qui ont envie de s'établir en évitant d'ouvrir un bar ou resto .. être détective privée .. 😎 simple .. un portable une confection net . quelques connaissance dans la police .. le motocycle boy du soi .. ( très bons informateurs .. ) 2 euros en carte de visites .. et on est en bizenes ( monkey bizzenes disent les anglophones )

Mais tu n'as jamais vu la thailande??? et tu comptes y aller quand?
Ce que j'aimerais savoir c'est comment se déroule la vie la bas sur ces plages magnifiques (travail, logement, nourriture...)

heuu, a bangkok ya pa de plage, jsuis jamais allé en thailande mais je la connais depuis plus de 2 ans alors ne me dites pas que cet amour n'est pas possible par internet, pour mentir pendant tout ce temps faudrait etre vraiment doué, en plus elle me propose d'habiter avec elle la bas donc cé pas une profiteuse car elle sait que jai pas beaucoups d'argent.
on s'aime vraiment et on s'attends pour de vrai.
pour ce qui est de la nouriture et le mode de vie la bas on peut en parler.

Que tu es bien naïf mon pauvre... les thailandaises sont très patientes et doués quand elles veulent, quand bien même elle serait sincère, se marier alors que tu ne l'a jamais vu, tu ne connais donc pas son "réel" caractère, sa façon de vivre... ça me parait des plus aberrant, es tu désepéré à ce point là en amour ??

Va s'y faire un tour là bas, tu critiques sans jamais y être allé (pollution, chaleur... les 2 sont supportable, et puis il n'y a pas que Bangkok en Thailande...)
De même tu vas jusqu'à proposer ton aide pour parler nourriture et mode de vie sans y être allé ... très fort... Ne le prend pas mal dans le fond c'est vraiment pour t'aider et t'amener à une certaine réflexion avant de foncer la tête dans le mur aveugler par l'amour "à distance", et je parle en connaissance de cause évidemment...

je ne veut pas faire le trouble fête mais je la comprend de vouloir que tu passe directement chez elle .. elle a mis 2 ans a travailler le farang ce n'est pas pour des que il débarque de l'avion le poisson s'envole avec une autres ..

je suis entièrement d'accord avec Thuan et rely23, je suis allé en thailande (Koh Samed, Bangkok, Pattaya, Hatiai, Nong Kai pendant une période de 6 mois; sans aucunes ressources (même pas 20 centimes Euros). dès mon arrivée à Koh Samed, j'ai connu une "gentille" thailandaise, qui m'a accueuillit les bras ouverts chez elle. je lui ai dit que j'avais pas de chambre, pas de nourriture, pas de cigarettes (je fume pas mal) et surtout pas un sous en poche. je ne dis pas que toutes sont les même, mais une très grande partie (il faut dire que suite à la séparation avec mon ex-femme je ne fais plus vraiment confience aux femmes. désolé!). au début, je ne comprenais pas un mot de ce qu'il/elles se disaient (les thailandais/es), mais par la suite j'ai commencé à comprendre petit à petit ce qu'il disaient et je suis entièrement d'accord qu'ils parlents tous de la même chose à propos des farangs (le farang est une sorte de pomme blanche), grands sourires par devant et dès que t'as passé devant eux; on entend les murmures farang tatati, farang tatata. rely23 à entièrement raison elle dit que les femmes thailandaises sont très fortes dans la manipulation ("d'hommes") et leurs stratégies sont très bien rôdées; et cela pour une longue durée. enfin, je veux pas te souhaiter du mal, mais j'aimerai simplement t'éviter de souffrir inutillement quand tu vas vraiment voir le pourquoi du comment. elles ne font rien gratuitements; il faut dire que l'économie de leurs pays n'est pas des plus florissantes et qu'il vaut mieux avoir une farang (qui envoi de l'argent tous les mois ou toutes les semaines) que d'aller bosser tous les jours pendant 12heures pour un salaire de misère. "ma copine" que j'ai connu là-bas, avait un copain en France et un en Angleterre; et je pense qu'elle voulait encore en avoir un en plus. je lui en suis vraiment reconnaissant de m'avoir accueuillit comme elle l'a fait (je pense que je serai mort de faim ou je ne sais quoi sans elle), mais je pense sincèrement qu'elle ne l'a pas fait pour rien. elle espérait peut-être que je la ramène en suisse ou je ne sais quoi. je vais retourner en thailande le 31 décembre 2009 pour période indéterminée (avec cette fois ci un peu d'argent), mais je ne vais cenpendant pas retourner tout de suite la revoir, parce que je n'ai absolument aucune confience en elle. vu ce qu'elle a fait avec sont français et son anglais (je les appellais les comptables; ils me payaient tous les jours mes beuveries ainsi que mes visites sur des iles absolument magnifique) c'était même peut-être toi un de ces types. bref, je te souhaite bonne chance en espérant que Thuan, rely23 et moi-même nous nous trompons; mais franchement j'ai du mal à la consevoir. fait-gaffe à toi et j'espère sincèrement que tous se passeras bien avec ta dulcinnée.
mais en attendant j'ai réussi à me faire 6 mois au chaud sans rien.....

Et non désolé de vous décevoir, mais à la base je suis parti pour faire un entrainement dans un camp de muay thai, et pas pour me soulager au soleil. Vous avez raison, que ce n'est pas une généralitée; mais il arrive souvent que sa soit comme ça, c'était en réponse à une personne de ce forum qui avait l'air complètement aveuglé par ce sujet (les femmes thailandaises) j'ai juste écris mon avis pour peut-être lui éviter de souffrir inutilement (en plus sa m'est complètement égal il s'agit pas de ma vie) et aussi en réponse à d'autres qui approuvait mes écrits.

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.

I’m heading to Bangkok for a 5-month internship, and I’m wondering about the budget because I’ve read all sorts of things—so I decided to post here to get answers tailored to my situation! :D I found housing that costs me 7,000 baht (I know it’s a bit pricey, but it’s super convenient...), which works out to about 160 € all-inclusive. So, I was wondering if it’s realistic to live on 500 or 600 € per month, and if so, under what conditions? Is that enough, considering I’ll be working 40 hours a week?

WEP offers loads of different projects, including one I really like: helping and volunteering on a farm, particularly in South America (Peru or Argentina).
I’d love to know if anyone has tried this project or knows someone who has... or has done something similar? I’d like to get some feedback before diving into the adventure.
If so, could you share your thoughts on the project, any tips, etc.?

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
Are there any special requirements before leaving France (aside from taxes...)?

Hi, I’m a self-employed physiotherapist in France, and as my wife (a nurse) and I look into working abroad in about two years, I’ve been offered an equivalence to become a respiratory physiotherapist in Switzerland. Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area. Anyway, that’s not the main point—could anyone explain the pros and cons of doing this job in Switzerland? Based on the paperwork I’ve received, the equivalence seems purely administrative or almost... What about working conditions, quality of life, salaries, etc.?

I’m currently a childminder in a MAM (multi-accueil) and I’ve also worked for about 6 years in several daycare centers as a childcare assistant. In the summer of 2026, my husband is being transferred to New Caledonia. We’ll be living near Nouméa. Do you know if the early childhood sector is a good field for jobs there? Can’t wait to discover this island! Right now, we’re in the middle of all the administrative paperwork for our 3 kids, finding housing, bringing our cat to the territory, and so on! I’d like to know if this level qualifies me to apply for the DV Lottery.
Regarding my work experience: • I work as an *Employment Counselor*. • I checked on O*Net Online for the classification: Job Zone 4, SVP Range: 7.0 – <8.0. • I only have one year of experience, but I handle similar tasks in business creation.
So my question is: can I apply for the DV Lottery despite my relatively short experience, given that my job falls under Job Zone 4?

We’re a couple with a child living in the Paris region, and I’ll be relocating to Aix-en-Provence in spring 2026. We’d love to swap our apartment for a house with a pool within 20-30 minutes max of central Aix, with a budget of around 650k €.
In terms of climate and geography, I’ve read that Aix is in a basin where it can get really hot. What about the surrounding villages that are a bit more elevated, like Venelles? Is it just as stifling?
For a family, which area would you recommend?

Starting this spring, we want to settle near Aix-en-Provence. We're tired of living in the mountains with all the snow—we really need some sunshine and a fresh start. Is it hard to find a house to rent there? What about prices? If you have any great tips or useful info about the area, we’d love to hear it. First, I’d like to practice from my apartment. Is that allowed in Thailand? Ideally, I’d like to work part-time in a private hospital as an osteopath. I’m thinking that in Thailand, the medical field is much more open than in Europe!!! Has anyone seen an osteopath or chiropractor working in a Thai hospital? Do you know the price of a consultation?

We mainly speak French, with a basic level of Spanish and English, and we’re ready to improve these two languages if needed.
