Je compte passer l'année scolaire prochaine dans une université aux Etats-unis. J'aurais donc le Visa J-1 à partir du 26 aout. Problème je compte passer les deux mois Juillet et aout aux etats unis avec un ESTA. Je voulais savoir si c'était possible d'enchainer les deux. Ou si je peux aller au Canada entre les deux. Je sais qu'on a pas le droit de renouveler un ESTA en allant une semaine aux Canada mais ici le problème est différent. Si j'ai déjà le visa étudiant en poche, je devrais être en règle non ?
Enfin derniere question : est-ce-quils vont me donner le visa étudiant Sacha, t que j'aurai un ESTA valable du 1er juillet (90 jours donc jusqu'au 1 octobre normalement). Car j'aurai donc du 26 aout au 1 er octobre deux visa en ma possession car l'ESTA n'aura pas encore finit.

ESTA pour passer deux mois en vacances aux USA puis visa F1 pour étudier.
Vous pouvez très bien combiner les deux mais attention si vous entrez sous ESTA aux USA vous devez en sortir sous ESTA . Un aller et retour au Canada n’est pas considéré comme sortie des USA puisqu’il sera compris dans les 90 jours autorisés. Donc vous devrez vous rendre dans un autre pays , et le mieux est de revenir dans le pays de résidence .
l’ESTA n’est pas un visa mais une autorisation à vous présenter devant l’officier d’immigration .
On peut très bien avoir un ESTA et un visa .
Je vous conseille de demander et d’obtenir le visa étudiant avant toute chose car si les autorités US refusent votre visa , cela annulera votre ESTA .
mais le problème c'est que une allé retour en France entre temps est compliqué... j'avais prévu de ne pas rentrer avant noël. Payer un aller retour inutile c'est hors budget... En allant au Canada je change bien de pas donc ce ne sera pas possible ?

On ne renouvelle pas pas son ESTA en allant au Canada , le séjour au Canada (si aller et retour USA-CAN-USA ) sera compris dans les 90 jours autorisé par l’ESTA.
L’ESTA est valable deux ans et permet des séjours de 90 jours maximum au USA , un séjour au Canada , Mexique et Caraïbes ne remet pas à 0 le compteur des 90 jours.
Personnes n’ a été mis en prison pour un manquement a cette règle .Vous devez parler de la fille qui a traversé illégalement la frontière CAN USA en faisant du jogging .
Mais je ne compterais pas remettre le compteur à 0 de l'ESTA mais """""déchirer""""" (je met des gros guillemets) l'esta pour revenir avec le visa étudiant que je montrerais à la frontière pour rerentrer aux Etats-Unis.

Ah d'accord je comprend mieux. Aller au canada ne suffis pas, meme si je passe la frontière des Etats-Unis, je dois revenir chez moi en France ? Parce que je pensais que en allant au canada et donc en passant la frontière des etas-unis je pouvais montrer à mon retour aux etats unis une semaine après mon visa cette étudiant qui "annulerait" l'ESTA, le mettrait en pause sur les jours qui défilent.

Tu as un rendez-vous à l'ambassade pour avoir le visa non? Si c'est le cas, je pense que le plus simple serait de demander directement la-bas. Ils seront plus à même de te répondre.
Sinon, je ne sais pas si ça passe pour le changement de visa en passant par le Canada. Je sais que pour renouveler l'ESTA, ça ne marche pas. Mais si c'est pour changer de visa, je ne vois pas pourquoi ça ne marcherai pas car tu re-rentres avec avec un visa étudiant et que ton ESTA ne devrait pas se "réactiver" du coup.
Par contre, je sais que ça marche pour le canada de passer par les US si on passe de l'AVE (l'équivalent de l'ESTA) à un visa de travail.

Si tu regardes tes postes, ils parlent d'apply pour un visa. C'est sur qu'il est impossible d'apply pour un visa en dehors de son pays pour ça je suis complètement d'accord.
Personnellement, je partais du principe qu'elle avait déjà fait toutes les démarches avant de venir aux Etats-Unis pour son voyage et qu'il lui restait uniquement la frontière à passer.
Voila ce que j'ai compris , l'imitateur va aller faire des études aux USA avec un visa F1 mais auparavant elle veut passer 2 mois en vacances sous ESTA .
Je lui est répondu qu'il pouvait très avoir les deux ESTA pour tourisme et F1 pour les études en même temps mais que qu'il devait faire un allez retour en France entre les deux séjours .

En premier faites votre demande d'ESTA par internet puis votre demande visa F1( à l'ambassade ) ESTA et VISA sont deux choses complètement différentes.
Beaucoup de personnes ont un ESTA et un VISA donc rien de louche.
oui bien sur je parlais d'aller à l'ambassade pour le visa. D'accord donc demander à l'ambassade ne posera pas de problème.
