Je cherche à acheter des billets d'avion pour un aller-retour Paris-Manille en mars, mais c'est un peu la jungle des agences de voyage en ligne!
Avez vous des préférences? Bravofly propose des tarifs intéressants mais vu les nombreux avis négatifs, je pense m'abstenir...
Y a t-il des choses à vérifier avant d'acheter un billet sur internet?

Perso je passe toujours par ebookers ou opodo, jamais eu de probleme. govoyages a des tarifs un peu plus bas, mais le site est pas très pratique...
Sinon quelques compagnies que je peux recommander, en général pas trop cher et que j'ai déjà emprunté dans ce sens là :
- KLM
- Qatar Airways
- Etihad
- Gulf Air
- Singapore Airlines

Un billet d'avion pour Manille coute cher comparé aux autres destinations d'Asie.Mais cela ne m'empeche pas d'y retourner chaque année!.J'y suis deja allée 2 fois aux Philippines et bientot pr la 3eme fois en juin de cette annee et je pense que Eva air est une très bonne compagnie, tu peux aller faire un tour a Govoyage sur le site, le billet est parfois à 643 eur, il faut surtout scruter le site tous les jours car le prix change constamment.Pour ma part, c'est deja décidé, je vais prendre Eva air sur Govoyage sans hésitation 😉 .
Une solution serait de faire un Paris/Hong kong à environ 500E (China Southern, Air China, Emirates etc...) puis prendre un vol vers Manille avec Cebu Pacific ou Philippines airlines...

Depuis notre chére province , il n'est guére interressant de passer par PARIS.
Depuis notre Sud Ouest ;cas de TOULOUSE ma ville de départ je ne suis jamais passé par PARIS sauf en 2006 pour un retour de Manille par AIR FRANCE.
Les voyages ; PARIS /Hong KONG se trouvent à environ 500 euros.
Il faut rejouter pour rejoindre Manila depuis HK environ 150 euros
par Cebu Pacific
Il faudra aussi au minimum rejouter 150 euros pour un aller retour PARIS/TOULOUSE sur EASYJET, compagnie la moins chere sur la destination. (300 € mini pour AF
Une nuité sur Charles de Gaulle est souvent nécessaire , il est quelques fois difficile d'etre sur le bon timing entre le vol depuis la province et le départ du vol international.
le tarif minimum tourne autour de 850 euros au mieux, sans nuité à CDG.
La solution par les cies du golfe style Emirates revenant au meme prix, compte tenu du vol province/Paris a ajouter.
Notre compagnis nationale AF est souvent trés mal placée sur le trajet et AF ne dessert pas Manille.

Le passage par LONDRES et British Airways est souvent interressant mais depuis TOULOUSE ou autre ville du Sud ouest Francais(Bordeaux, Biarritz) Celà oblige souvent une arrivée sur GATEWICK et un changement d'aéroport pour HEATHROW (aéroport international de )LONDRES et ce n'est pas trés pratique.
Cette année , jai trouvé un vol direct ;TOULOUSE/LONDON HEATHROW/HK/MANILLE;
La compagnie m'ayant réservé le meilleur accueil et la meilleure restauration a été CHINA AIRLINES sur un vol en 747/400 classe éco; KLM et Lufthansa se classant aprés.
Petit dernier AIR FRANCE emprunté sur un retour HK/PARIS et un mémorable embouteillage à la douane de CDG ;notre corRespondance pour Toulouse ayant été retardée de 15 minutes pour l'occasion.(organisation Francaise), je précise que le vol international était arrivé à l' heure et plus de 2 heures prévues en escale..
Depuis j'evite CDG, tous les avions en destinations d'Asie étant arrivés dans le meme créneau horaire provocant un embouteillage aux controles douaniers.
Pour le confort et compte tenu de la duré du vol; l'avion le plus confortable restant à mon avis:le Boeing 747/400 suivit de l' AIRBUS 340 qui est le plus silencieux et aussi vaste.
Je déteste et évite le boeing 777; qui est bruyant et étriqué! mon opinion !
Précision:concernant Go voyage les tarifs pour moi ont toujours été trés clairs, identiques à OPODO ET ebookers
Si tu es sur Strasbourg, je te conseille de prendre tes billets sur opodo.de (le site allemand) et de partir de Francfort (tu as des liaisons très fréquentes par train Kehl-Francfort à tarifs réduit sur http://www.bahn.de)
Ca fait des années que je ne pars plus que des aéroports allemands (Francfort, Stuttgart ou Baden)
Personnellement, j'ai payé 700 € l'aller-retour Francfort-Manille, mais il y a surement moyen de trouver moins cher : il faut surveiller le site, les prix fluctuent énormément d'un jour à l'autre (Aattention : ne prends pas ton billet sur le site opodo français : le même vol sera nettement plus cher !)

DepuisToulouse la sncf est tres chere prix superieur Easyjet plus de 180 euros aller retour . Et deux fois 6 heures de train pour arriverà CDG et donc il faut additionner minimum 5O euos hotel roissy plus repas soir et petit dejeuner.
Donc il vaut mieux un avion direct sans passer par Paris, soit par Frankfort, Amsterdam ou Londres.
Fait le comparatif;5 ans d"experience a triturer les tarifs par le net , le cout est toujours plus cher!
Et c'est pire depuis Biarritz car pas d"Easyjet.
Deplus il est tres al&atoire ;3 mois avant de se fier à la SNCF:les greves pleuvent!!!
Tu n' es ai jamais certain de pouvoir partir et tu risques de louper ton avion pour cause de greve ou autre!

J'ai récemment fais le comparatif dont tu me parles à partir de divers ville en Europe et Paris était le moins cher... Alors ne dis pas "toujours plus cher". Mais apparement il faut absolument cracher sur ce qu'on fait en France (c'est tellement mieux aux Phils). J'attendais ta réflexion sur la SNCF et ses grèves, évidement on ne parle jamais des trains qui arrivent à l'heure, il y'en a pourtant beaucoup chaque jour. C'est sûr qu'aux Phils les syndicats sont tellement bien muselés qu'on risque pas d'être emmerdé par les grèves... Et quand on prends un bateau, non seulement on n'est pas sûr de partir mais on n'est pas sûr d'arriver non plus !!! Enfin bref...

Apres de multiples études de tarification (5 ans d'expérience ;car 5 voyages)depuis Toulouse ou "je ne réside pas" ;

En ce qui me concerne je n'y suis pas arrivé, ma VISA a été refusée et j'ai renoncé au bout de trois tentatives ! (Mon fils, par contre, a réussi à prendre un Manille-Macao en décembre avec sa VISA de la Société Générale.. allez comprendre !)

Effectivement, cette discussion n' en est abs + une....cet intéressant cas de figure présente un glissement de sens de l' ordre de la digression, où l' on passe du rationnel à l' émotionnel...ce qui est relativement fréquent sur les Forums, tout comme dans les conversations de bistro...en fin de soirée surtout
La langue française n' ayant pas de terme définissant précisément cela, je propose le néologisme de , mot-valise (ou porte-manteaux word in english) limpide, désignant l' enrichissement linguistique ét sémantique du schmilblick dont il est question + haut, mais ici-bas en quelque sorte...
cas de figure présente un glissement de sens de l' ordre de la digression, où l' on passe du rationnel à l' émotionnel...
Ok adopté "disgrussion" c'est intéressant 😎, comme tu dis c'est fréquent. Et ce glissement vers l'émotionnel ouvre une brêche qui peut prendre des proportions phénoménales où la mauvaise foi devient sans limite.... C'est pour ça qu'il est inutile de continuer sur cette pente sans fin.
Les discussions virtuelles sont sujettes à de multiples interprétations du fait de l'absence des locuteurs, pas toujours évident de se faire comprendre même en étant le plus "littéral" possible, alors en effet ça bascule parfois 😏 ! Mes statistiques sur le temps entre l’arrivée de l’avion à la porte et la livraison de ma valise.
26 arrivées dans des aéroports étrangers (Hong Kong, Riyah, Amsterdam, Dubai, Bahrain, Turin, Caracas, Pékin, Seoul) : 22 minutes en moyenne.

Etranger : Turin: 50 minutes, Séoul : 31 minutes, Hong Kong et Caracas ex-aequo avec 29 minutes.

I’d love to get some feedback on our itinerary—it’s probably pretty basic! This is our second trip to Asia and our first to Indonesia. We have three kids aged 20, 18, and 12. We land in Jakarta at 4 PM, spend 3 nights/2 days there, then take the train to Yogyakarta for 3 nights/2 days, followed by the train to Surabaya for 2 nights/1 day, then the train to Bromo for 1 day/1 night, a private driver to Ijen for 2 nights/2 days, then on to Bali (Ubud) for 4 nights/3 days, followed by Gili Air for 3 nights/2 days, Senggigi (Lombok) for 2 nights, and finally 5 nights in Kuta. I’m considering cutting the 2 nights in Senggigi to just keep Kuta and extend it to 7 nights. In Lombok, I’m not sure how to get around since I’m not comfortable with scooters... Your thoughts on all of this, and any advice, are more than welcome—don’t hesitate!
For those wondering why cities like Jakarta and Surabaya: we don’t often get the chance to visit big Asian cities, so we wanted to include that discovery in our trip. The trains between Jakarta and Yogyakarta, Surabaya and Probolinggo are booked. The return flight from Lombok to Jakarta is also set. Accommodations are booked but flexible (same for the trains).

I didn’t plan to return to Thailand this year, but my health conditions mean it’ll be the best place for me to stay between two trips to India. The tourism setup there is so well-organized that it’s the most "comfortable" country for a short visit. Thailand feels too sanitized for my taste, and there’s too much religion, Buddha, and the King, but it’s still the best option given how my health has been evolving. I’d considered two weeks in ThaTon for hiking, but I got too sick from the burn-offs during my trips to the mountains around Chiang Rai. So I’m not sure where to go this year. Definitely not the sea, touristy spots, or the mountains with burn-offs...

In 1996, we crossed Vietnam from Saigon to Hanoi by motorbike—Minsk bikes we bought in Saigon. I haven’t been back since, and it seems like a lot has changed.
- We’re heading to the south (well, the north and center) with the family in July-August (3 people).
- Is the road network more developed now? Back then, there was only National Route 1 from south to north. I’m thinking of renting a car this time (no motorbike with the family—though in ’96, they had a Jawa sidecar for sale, and we hesitated… maybe it’s for the best).
- Is Halong Bay really something to avoid because of overtourism? Even back then, it was pretty crowded. Is there a less touristy alternative?
- We’ll be traveling from Hanoi down to Danang (the only city we didn’t stop in back in ’96). Even though it’s a bit overhyped in a Chinese-tourist kind of way (from what I’ve read), we’re only going for the beach—pure relaxation for 7 days. The beaches are stunning, and I know the South China Sea is warm like coffee.
- Then, we’ll visit Hoi An, where I stopped in ’96. It was already popular with backpackers back then, but no glowing boats or all the touristy fuss!
- After that, Hue, where I have great memories—it’s a beautiful city.
- And also the nature around Ninh Binh, followed by 2-3 days in Hanoi.
That’s the plan. I’d love to hear any tips to avoid mass tourism, and if anyone’s done this before:
- Is it possible to rent a car in Danang and drop it off in Hanoi?

Last year, we did Malaysia (KL and the mainland + around Kuching).
Day 1 – Arrive in Kota Kinabalu early, stroll around town and hit the must-sees.

Day 11-12-13-14 – Sipadan, Mabul, Kapalai.
Day 15 – Bohey Dulang.
Day 16 to Day 25: I’M STUCK.
I looked into Danum Valley, but for 3 days/2 nights, they’re quoting 650 € per person—come on, that’s ridiculous.
I checked out a detour into Indonesia (still East Borneo), but I’m having trouble deciding what would be amazing.
I read about Sangalaki + Kakaban (2 islands, 1 base) / Mahakam Delta - Kutai (orangutans and river) / Sungai Boh (Dayak Kayan) – jungle & culture.
But honestly, I’m struggling to finalize this itinerary.
If we venture that way, we’d head back to KK from Balikpapan.
For a 4-month stay in Egypt, I had ENORMOUS problems. The regulations are very bureaucratic and extremely nitpicky there. For a 4-month stay in the Philippines, I was wondering if the procedures are just as complicated? I’m bringing my cell phone with an eSIM. Should I choose a plan from Canada for use in the Philippines, or should I get a plan only once I arrive? After 30 days, do I renew with the Canadian provider I chose before leaving, or do I switch to a local company? Do I need to register my phone with the authorities in the Philippines? (That was the case in Egypt.) For the 3rd and 4th months, will it be just as simple—renewing with a Canadian or local provider—or should I expect problems?

If you’ve had the experience—and since I’ve read (though it’s not very clear) that these two islands get quite crowded during this period—would you recommend booking accommodation well in advance, or is it easy to find something on the spot?

We like to decide things on the spot and go with the flow, without rushing everywhere. But I’m still a bit unsure: when heading down to the center (Hue), is it better to book the overnight trains in advance? We don’t want to take any flights while we’re there—just use the overnight train for the long trips. But I’m worried we won’t get seats if we buy the tickets on the spot, say, 2 days before. No app for this one—you just hop on bus #14 at the local terminal (pay cash on board). But where do I catch it, and where’s the stop??

From what I’ve heard, it’s the Sida Express company (great name, right? 😄).
Can’t book online, but apparently, you *have* to because there’s only one bus at 8 AM.
