Hi, I’m writing because I’ve seen conflicting info online. Does anyone know if I need an ID photo to enter Thailand from Cambodia at the Psar Pruhm / Ban Pakard border crossing? I have a French passport and will be staying in Thailand for 8 days. Thanks so much for your help.

hi

You need photos when traveling from Thailand to Cambodia.

In the opposite direction—Cambodia to Thailand—from what I know, the Thai immigration officers have cameras/photos connected to their computers.

That said, it's always a good idea to travel with a few ID photos (useful for a Cambodian temple entry pass or other Thai transport cards, etc.).

Hello, As mentioned by Jungletroll, no photo is needed. But it's a good opportunity in Cambodia or Thailand to get a cheap little stash of photos that you keep in your travel bag, fanny pack, or whatever. With the option to add a full suit and tie in Photoshop! Safe travels!

Hello, as written by Jungletroll, no need for a photo. But in Cambodia or Thailand, it's a great opportunity to get a small stash of cheap photos that you keep in your little bag, fanny pack, or whatever traveler's accessory. With the addition of a full suit and tie on Photoshop! Have a good trip!

Hi, ...Just a few clarifications regarding your post: Are scanned ID photos acceptable, or do we need printed photos? (...and are ties actually required !!) Thanks

Hello,

Wow, that’s old! For administrative procedures, you need printed photos. However, many government offices are now equipped with cameras.

No, the tie isn’t mandatory :).
