Je peux vous confirmer que la question, certes assez ambiguë, est la suivante: "Avez-vous vécu au moins 2 ans dans le pays où vous effectuez votre demande de visa (en ligne) ?"
Vous pouvez y répondre OUI si c'est le cas ou Non si cela ne l'est pas. Cette réponse n'aura aucune importance sur l'acceptation de votre futur visa électronique.
Le E-Tourist Visa étant disponible sur le même site que pour effectuer la saisie du formulaire de demande de dit "classique" sur votre passeport avant le départ, certaines questions peuvent être similaires et avoir un impact, surtout pour le visa sur passeport.
Par exemple, si un ressortissant étranger (autre que français) effectuent une demande de visa d'affaires auprès de VFS, ces derniers réclament que le requérant soit résident en France depuis au minimum 2 ans documents à l'appui (factures, quittances loyers, avis d'imposition, ...).
Dans le e-visa, il faut bien aussi enlever les termes du passeport épouse ou autre ? Dans la case "place of issue", je voudrais marquer sous préfecture Lesparre mais ça ne loge pas, que puis-je enlever ?

Effectivement, dans les rubriques noms/prénoms, vous devez renseigner tous vos noms de familles sans les mentions types "ép.", "usage", "vve." ainsi que tous vos prénoms.
Dans la rubrique "Place of issue", vous pouvez y inscrire uniquement la ville.
et également, dans les professions, il y a college/university teacher, je suis professeur en école primaire, je mets school teacher ?
Est-ce que vous savez si on peut revenir en arrière et tout revérifier avant d'envoyer ?

Dans la rubrique profession, vous pouvez sélectionner sans problème college/university teacher ou détailler si vous sélectionner le choix Others.
Avant l'envoi de votre demande, les autorités indiennes vous proposent une ultime étape de vérification/rectification.
L'essentiel lors de votre demande est que les copies de vos documents (photo et passeport) soient lisible et dans le bon sens: pas de photo à l'envers ou dans un éventuel décor folklorique.

Pour le e-visa je ne pense pas qu'il faille remplir ces formulaires (mais je n'ai fait des demands de visas pour enfant qu'avec la formule "classique"). Je pense que si elle est nécessaire avec le e-visa le formulaire en ligne la demandera (le site de VFS est assez foisonnant et complexe comme l'administration indienne, mais finalement assez bien fait).

Deux choix, et chacun d'eux sera sûrement accepté, s'offrent à vous:
- Renseigner "Worker" et inscrire "Employé" ou "Employé de Mairie" dans Désignation
- Renseigner "Others" et renseigner "Employé" ou "Employé de Mairie" dans là rubrique Détails et Désignation
Comme je vous l'indiquais précédemment si vos photos d'identité sont insérées correctement ainsi que la copie des passeports lisibles et que vos professions ne sont pas en lien avec les médias, cela devrait très bien se passer 😉

J'ai donc envoyé ma demande de visa et j'ai une réponse "granted". J'ai imprimé la feuille avec l'autorisation sur le site officiel et il y a cette phrase "Please confirm that your ETA status is shown as 'GRANTED' on our official website (https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/tvoa.html) prior to commencement of your journey". Que faut-il faire ? De plus, je n'ai pas reçu le mail disant que c'était bon. C'est en allant sur le site avec le numéro que j'ai vu "granted" avec les dates d'entrée...

Donc tout est bon 🙂. Le site demande de vérifier que ta demande a été acceptée ("granted") et elle l'est puisque il est écrit "granted" sur le document que tu as reçu. Il doit aussi y avoir la période de deux ou trois jours où tu es autorisée à entrer en Inde.
Attention, il faut absolument imprimer ce document, il te sera demandé par le douanier en même temps que ton passeport, à ton arrivée en Inde, cela lui est nécessaire pour établir ton visa.

Voici mon expérience: J'ai fait 4 demandes d'e-visa le 01/01/2017... En retour, je n'ai jamais reçu les mails de confirmation avec la mention "Granted".
Heureusement que j'avais bien noté le n°ID qui apparaît en fin de finalisation de la demande en ligne ou à l'étape du paiement.
Avec les n°ID, j'ai pu aller récupérer mes Sésames via ce lien suivant... indianvisaonline.gov.in/...isa_service_req=3%20
Le document qui m'a été réclamé le 01/02/2017 par les services des contrôles aux frontières à Istambul (Turkish-Airlines) et à l'arrivée à Mumbai est celui-ci... jacquinfr.free.fr/etv.htm
Précision qui a de l'importance quand on n'a pas reçu le mail de confirmation avec la mention "Granted", ce qui est notre cas:
1- j'avais imprimé l'e-visa comme indiqué dans la procédure via ce lien indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/PrintApplication
Ainsi vous obtenez l'e-visa sous cette forme img11.hostingpics.net/...721visaindesmall.jpg qui ne comporte pas forcément la mention "Granted". Ce document m'a été refusé par les contrôles aux frontières à Istambul et Mumbai... En même temps que nous, plusieurs Français ont eu des soucis avec ce document.
2- Comme dit précédemment, heureusement que j'avais imprimé mon e-visas via cet autre lien indianvisaonline.gov.in/...isa_service_req=3%20

Je suis chez Free depuis 20 ans, voici les problèmes que j'ai rencontrés avec cet opérateur:

En février 2017 en Inde, dans un hôtel sur deux, je n'ai jamais pu me connecter à ma boîte mail Free, alors que c'était toujours possible avec ma boîte mail Yahoo. En 2006, 2009 et 2012, j'ai eu les mêmes soucis.
Comme vous, je n'ai jamais reçu le fameux mail d'indiavisaonline avec la mention "Granted". De même, j'ai un ami qui habite Delhi, il m'a envoyé un mail que je n'ai jamais reçu.
- Sites web hébergés chez Free:
J'ai plusieurs sites web hébergés sur le serveur Free, pareil une fois sur deux en Inde je n'avais pas accès via internet.
J'ai eu les mêmes problèmes en 2008 quand j'étais au Maroc.
Il semblerait que Free sécurise l'accès à ses serveurs vis à vis de certaines personnes malveillantes dans certains pays.
Quand les connections des serveurs sont trop lentes à partir de certains pays exotiques, Free peut aussi interrompre la communication et refuser la réception ou la lecture des mails.
Ah ok, merci et ça ne pose pas de problème pour nous outre le fait qu'on ne reçoive pas le mail ? J'espère qu'ils n'auront pas besoin de nous envoyer de mails importants...
Aucun problème pour nous à parti du moment où on a imprimé le bon document, ce qui est le cas pour vous.
Le mail de confirmation avec la mention"Granted" que nous n'avons jamais reçu n'a aucune valeur pour le passage au contrôle à l'immigration indienne dans les aéroports.
Ca m'étonnerait beaucoup qu'ils aient besoin de vous renvoyer un autre mail, je ne vois pas trop les raisons.

Je vous explique ma situation.
J'ai malheureusement perdu mon passeport , et je m'en suis rendu compte seulement 2 semaines avant mon départ pour une mission humanitaire en Libye. Je suis infirmière et cette mission me tient vraiment à cœur.
J'ai d'abord fait une demande de passeport d'urgence, qui a été refusée par la préfecture du Val-d'Oise, au motif qu'une mission humanitaire programmée ne constituait pas un motif impérieux.
J'ai donc déposé une demande de passeport biométrique le 20 juillet. Depuis, le suivi est bloqué et la mairie ne peut (ou ne veut) pas vraiment me donner d'informations. À chaque appel, on me donne une version différente. La dernière information que j'ai eue est que le passeport serait produit depuis le 23 juillet et avec un statut "va être expédié", mais depuis plus rien.
J'ai réussi à repousser mon départ au maximum à mardi prochain, mais je commence vraiment à paniquer.
Est-ce que certains d'entre vous ont déposé une demande autour du 20 juillet, notamment dans le Val-d'Oise (95) ? Combien de temps avez-vous attendu entre la production du passeport et sa mise à disposition en mairie ? Est-ce normal que cette étape prenne aussi longtemps ?
Cette mission représente énormément pour moi. J'avais tout organisé et je suis également censée assister au mariage d'une amie à la frontière juste après.

The information I’ve found about whether an international permit is required is contradictory. Some sources say you need one, others say you don’t.
Could anyone let me know if an international driver’s permit is necessary to rent a car in Australia (Perth), or if a French license is enough for a 7-day rental?
I’m a bit embarrassed because I need to travel to Quebec from February 27th to March 13th. I’m a regular visitor to Canada—this will be my 10th trip since 1997, plus a year as a permanent resident (2000–2001) and a cross-country run from Vancouver to Halifax in 2011. So, I’m definitely not a terrorist!
But since our last trip in July 2015, they’ve introduced this eTA thing. Seems more like a way to make money than to actually secure Canada, if you ask me, but anyway, that’s not the point.
I applied for an eTA for myself, my wife, and our two kids. They all got approved within hours, but not me! I was asked to create a GC key and then an IRCC account, which I did. Normally, you get news within 72 hours, but since Monday, January 15th, nothing!
In the "message" section of the account, it says "explanation letter (required)" with a deadline of January 25th, but I can’t find any explanation anywhere—despite searching the Canadian government website and Google. No links, nothing!
I’ve emailed them but haven’t heard back yet. I’m thinking of calling the Canadian embassy in Paris tomorrow. Even though I’m not stressing yet, it’d be a bummer if everyone else got to go without me!
If anyone’s had this issue before or knows what this explanation letter is about, I’d love to hear more.

I’ve tried my hotel, the Lotte Hotel (which is well-known in Seoul), the airport—basically, I’ve entered at least 20 addresses, all rejected....

I’m planning a trip from France to Alberta/British Columbia, and I’m unsure about which bank card to use for the security deposit with the rental company (I’m thinking of going with AVIS).
I contacted Avis Canada, and they told me a credit card is absolutely required. I asked my bank for a credit card (a *real* credit card), but they only offered me a deferred debit card.
My question: For a rental with Avis Canada, is a Gold International Mastercard deferred debit card usable for the security deposit needed to finalize the rental? Is the "CREDIT" label enough? (Some cards say "CREDIT" and others say "CARTE DE CREDIT"—seems minor, but it’s actually a big deal in how the card works.)
I’ve seen conflicting info everywhere I look... My bank says it’s *usually* okay (the deferred debit card), while Avis Canada insists it *must* be a credit card, not debit—even when I mention the deferred debit card.
I know the whole credit card concept is already confusing, and on top of that, some sites say a deferred debit card counts as a credit card, while others say it doesn’t.

I bought a one-way flight (Ryanair) and a return flight (EasyJet) to spend a week in Morocco in April.
My passport expires 3 weeks after the return date.
Some websites say the passport must be valid for 3 months at the time of entry.
However, it will still be valid both on entry and return, but its validity will only be 1 month at the time of entry (and 3 weeks on the return date, everything prepaid).
It's an individual family trip.
The consulate can't give me an answer—they're still looking into it (really!)
Last year, we stayed for 3 months in Thailand, north of Khao Lak, and were able to benefit from the 2-month visa exemption, renewable for one month by going to Takua Pa to validate a 1-month extension (1,900 baht).
This year, it’s a disaster for us—not only were we planning a 4-month stay, adding a visa run in between (which some say is quite risky), but the law is apparently changing in the coming months with the return of the 1-month exemption (plus the usual 1-month option). So, we looked into applying for a 6-month multiple-entry visa, allowing a maximum of 60 consecutive days in Thailand. However, I can’t find anywhere the minimum time required outside Thailand between two stays—do any of you have an idea?

As a French national, I need to obtain a short-stay visa that can be converted to a long-stay one. To do this, I have to send the required documents to the Madagascar embassy in Paris.
No issues with that procedure so far.
If I get this visa, once I arrive in Madagascar, I’ll need to provide the same documents to the Ministry of the Interior in Anosy. I’m trying to find an email address or website for the Ministry to check which documents I need to submit (I think they ask for additional ones).

I’d like to know if anyone has already applied for a private visa to Russia with an invitation from a Russian resident.
I traveled earlier this year with an e-visa, but since I want to stay longer, I’ll be visiting my friend who lives in eastern Russia.
For the visa application, does the invitation need to be on an official paper form issued by the Russian ministry? And most importantly, do I need to present the original for the application, or is there an electronic version that can be sent directly to the consulate in France?

I filled out the B2 form to apply for a visa, created an account on Atvis to pay the visa fees and schedule a meet-up, but every time I try to pay with my Boursobank Visa 1st card, they refuse the payment with a message telling me to check my details (address), even though everything is correct. Does anyone know why this is happening, or maybe they don’t accept Visa cards? Are you aware of this?

On her ticket, it only has her maiden name (e.g., Martine DUPOND).
On her passport, it’s written as Martine DUPOND épouse AVRY.
No issues for travel, I hope I did the right thing with the ticket?
Then for the ESTA, is just Martine DUPOND enough, or do I need to include the "épouse AVRY" part like on the passport?

I saw on the French Embassy in Peru’s website and the Peruvian Consulate in Paris’s site that the rule is to have a passport valid for 6 months *after the arrival date* (not the return date).
I arrive in Peru on August 13, 2019 (for about twelve days), and my passport is valid until February 16, 2020.
That’s 6 months and 3 days after my arrival date in Peru. In my opinion, I’m good to go.
But could I still be denied entry if they say I don’t cover the return date or that I’m too close to the 6-month mark?

My departure is slowly approaching, and now that I’ve got my Russian visa sorted, I’m fine-tuning the rest of my trip to Tajikistan. Since the Tajik visa is no longer required for stays under 30 days (for French nationals), I’ll need to visit the Ministry of Interior (OVIR) to register within 10 days of entering the country. No big deal, though, since I had to go there anyway to apply for my GBAO permit. 😉 However, I’ve *seen* several reports from travelers (mostly motorized) mentioning that you need an entry permit for Kyrgyzstan, which has to be arranged in advance at the Kyrgyz Ministry (consulate?) in Dushanbe. Otherwise, you’re *stuck* at the Kyzyl-Art border (with no Wi-Fi, of course, to try and sort it out). The most recent report was from a year ago, so I’d love to know if this is still the case and if it’s indeed at the Kyrgyz Ministry (consulate?) where you need to go for this pre-authorization.
