J'envisage vers l'été prochain d'aller à Madagascar poser mes valise et mon chat pour une semaine, un mois, un an ou une vie.
Ce que je recherche ? La mer, indispensable, car suite à de multiples opérations, la marche m'est pénible ; la WiFi, pour mon travail.
Le choix est-il judicieux ? Je sais bien que tout cela est aléatoire, mais voilà, ça fait des années que je fantasme sur Madagascar. Quelle(s) ville(s) choisir a priori ? A quels problèmes je m'expose ?

Dans tous les cas, vous ne pourrez vous dispenser d'un premier voyage "initiatique".
Je me contenterai donc de vous recommander de commencer par venir passer un mois ici.
Cela ne vous suffira vraisemblablement pas pour valider certains de vos choix mais cela devrait déjà vous donner une première impression du pays, de ses habitants et des éventuelles opportunités qui pourraient s'offrir à vous.
Par-dessus tout, ce premier voyage vous permettra peut-être tout simplement de ne pas regretter plus tard d'avoir fait le mauvais choix.

Certains référentiels - je pense de prime abord à la fiscalité, à la comptabilité - restent certes fortement "hérités" des standards français même si, au fils des réformes récentes, certains aspects commencent à diverger.
Je me suis surtout permis d'intervenir lorsque vous faisiez allusion à "l'installation".
Force est de constater que, sur ce point, la réglementation malgache régissant l'immigration à Madagascar est strictement "spécifique". Souveraineté nationale oblige !!!!!

Il ne faut pas dramatiser non plus, je surveille les évènements depuis le début de l'année et il y a aussi beaucoup d'intox, alors, il faut prendre toutes les informations avec des pincettes et c'est valable pour toutes les mouvances.

J'ai entendu que les troubles se concentraient à Tana, et j'avais pensé qu'il était justement bon d'apporter en ce moment des devises. Mais, évidemment, les "ouïs-dire" sont moins fiables que les avis d'habitués ou de résidents. Je le sais assez pour renseigner des demandes d'avis pour des projets hallucinants au VietNam.
Je voulais ajouter que dans mon cas, il ne me paraît pas essentiel de partir à Madagascar un mois pour connaître le pays, puisque je ne compte y faire aucun business, que je gagne mon pain en travaillant de n'importe où dans le monde avec la France.
J'ai fait la même chose avec le VietNam il y a deux ans alors que je n'étais jamais venue en Asie - hormis un séjour d'un long week-end au Japon. Le choc culturel a été très violent, je ne pensais pas tenir trois mois et voilà, deux ans plus tard, je suis toujours là. Je connais plus l'Afrique au travers de voyages touristiques. Si je suis déçue par Madagascar ? Si je m'y sens mal ? Je migre vers le Sénégal ou je prends un billet retour vers la France !

Cote Est : pluvieux toute l'année , Cote Ouest : sec et chaud d'avril a decembre puis pluie. Hauts plateaux temperés et froids . Sud climat desertique

Tamatave est proche de la mer, mais avec l'impossibilité de se baigner. Il te faudra faire 70 kms pour pouvoir le faire.
Je n'y suis pas retournée depuis 2 ans, mais pour ma part c'était une ville que j'aimais bien, (même si je ne me promènerai pas la nuit seule, de la même manière que je ne le fais pas dans une grande ville de France et de Navarre) qui pourtant a parfois une mauvaise réputation, sans doute du fait du port.
Diégo était une ville paisible, mais j'ai lu il y a peu le témoignage d'un homme, qui va chaque année à Diégo depuis 15 ans et qui a été pour la première fois racquetté (et même par la police), agressé à armes blanches, et violenté. L'absence de figure dirigeante donc de chef de la police, amène effectivement des exactions.
Des amis qui eux habitent à Tana, s'inquiètent quant à leur devenir dans un futur plus ou moins lointain.

Choisissez le sud de Mada, Tuléar ou Fort dauphin. Pour les connexion internet, il y en a mais vraiment à très bas débit, c'est pareil dans toute l'ile sauf dans la capital ou c'est un peu plus rapide.
L'Afrique, en général, est sujet à quelques troubles (ce qui explique, en partie, le manque d'investissement!), il faut que tu t'accroches à ton projet (Pour info j'ai le même...). Les troubles sont souvent localisés sur Tana et quelques grandes villes, si tu es sur le litoral, dans un village sympa et que tu es fondue dans les moeurs locales, tu n'as rien à craindre. De plus, du fait des craintes actuelles, tu pourras trouver de super maisons au tarif des plus avantageux. Tu bosses sur ordi? C'est cool ça le monde est ton jardin...
