Je vis pour l'instant à St-Pierre et Miquelon au sud des côtes de Terre-Neuve et j'envisage peut-être d'aller au Canada. Montréal, je connais un peu et j'aime cette ville. Mon objectif serait d'y travailler pendant un an pour et profiter de l'occasion pour apprendre parfaitement l'anglais.

C'est exact.....il faut que tu sois réellement spécialisé dans un secteur tres en demande comme p.ex. informatique ou soins infirmiers....(et alors la tu vas te battre avec la corporation professionnelle...) ou encore comme immigrant investisseur....250, 000$ à investir.....
Tu peux tjs tricher et travailler au noir pour qq temps mais ton visa sera expiré apres 6 mois...

C'est sympa de m'avoir répondu. Je suis journaliste pour un magazine et pour la radio. Je cherche un boulot temporaire dans ce domaine. Sur le web, j'ai vu quelques magazines basés à Montréal, je me tourne également sur Radio Canada. Toutefois, si t'as des infos sur des mag de news sympas ou des radios locales, ça m'intéresse. Ok, je commence. C'est un archipel français constitué de trois îles (St-Pierre, Miquelon et Langlade) et peuplé de 7000 habitants. Nous sommes situés à un vingtaine de kilomètres des côtes sud de Terre-Neuve. Voilà pour la leçon de géographie.
Dès le début du 19e siècle, les îles ont été habitées par des pêcheurs français des Grands Bancs. Tradition de pêche largement perdue depuis le moratoire en 1992. Aujourd'hui, St-Pierre et Miquelon ets une collectivité territoriale, c'est à dire qu'elle se gère (avec l'aide du gouvernement français) de façon plus ou moins locale. Les principales ressources restent en partie la pêche (crabes des neiges, morue, lompes et autres poissons). L'Archipel mise de plus en plus sur ses spécifités francophones en terre anglophone pour amorcer un tourisme vert.
Voilà, j'espère que j'aurais éveillé davantage ta curiosité sur nos îles !

Si ton but est reellement d'apprendre l'anglais parfaitement, je ne te conseille pas Montreal; cette ville est majoritairement francophone, et meme s'il y a une communauté anglophone, tu risques facilement de t'en tirer en parlant francais ou sinon les gens vont te parler en francais s'ils voient que tu ne maitrises pas l'anglais. Je te conseille une autre province ou on retrouve peu de francophones (l'Ouest canadien, les Prairies, le sud de l'Ontario).

Merci pour ces conseils... C'est vrai que Montréal est un peu la facillité dans la mesure où c'est bien pour trouver un boulot en français et apprendre l'anglais. Cela dit, il n'y a rien de tel que l'immersion dans l'univers anglophone pour apprendre la langue. J'y avais déjà pensé. Car il est vrai que débarquer pour un job sans savoir parler correctement la langue, j'ai aucune chance.

Je ne connais pas bien Toronto, je n'y suis allée qu'une fois enfant. Mais ca pourrait etre interessant de faire ton immersion là-bas. Parcontre, si tu aimes les sports d'hiver (ski, snowboard) les Rocheuses vont te plaire!

Pour pouvoir travailler au Canada, il te faut un VISA. Je ne me risquerais pas de bosser illégalement à ta place.
Pour ton visa, il faut te renseigner sur le site de l'ambassade du Canada à Paris, soit pour un visa vacances travail, soit un visa temporaire ( si tu as trouvé du boulot, l'employeur fait les démarches pour le visa ), soit un stage de perfectionnement, etc...

Il est très difficile d'entrer à Radio Canada ( même avec un réseau, c'est pas évident, un journaliste antenne d'une grande radio française ( que je connais ) rame pour trouver un job malgré ses connaissances à RC )
Pour pratiquer l'anglais, je ne te conseille pas non plus Montréal, bien que tu puisses vivre en anglais dans certains quartiers. Mieux vaut aller du côté de Vancouver...en immersion. C'est le meilleur moyen de progresser.

Je vis à Montréal. Pour trouver une job, ça dépend de tes expériences. Dans les domaines de resto-bar, je sais que c'est assez facile. Envoie-moi des questions précises au sujet de la vie à Mtl, je te répondrai le plus tôt possible.
Si tu recherche une immension complète, il est vrai que l'idéal n'est pas Montréal.
Mais, je suis native d'une ville francophone et je suis allée vivre à Montréal. Sérieusement, c'est là que j'ai appris mon anglais. Car même si oui il y a beaucoup de francophones, il y a aussi beaucoup d'anglophone. Si tu es dans le Centre-ville, et l'ouest de la ville, tu vas bien apprendre. Car la majorité du temps, je parlais anglais plus que le francais.
Il y a plus de francophones biligues que d'anglophones bilingues. Car à Montréal, tu peux toujours te faire servir en anglais, mais c'est pas toujours le cas pour le francais.

J'ai fait un stage à Montréal l'année dernière, j'ai vraiment adoré la ville, mais le nombre de mots que j'ai alligné en anglais n'est pas très grand. Après, ça dépend probablement du quartier dans lequel tu vas habiter et des gens avec qui tu seras en contact dans ton entreprise. Je rajoute que j'étais dans une entreprise francophone, ce qui explique aussi un peu le fait que je n'ai parlé beaucoup anglais ...
Bref, Toronto, tu parleras anglais à coup sur, et puis, rien ne t'empêchera de revenir passer quelques week-end à Montréal 😉

Quelques petites suggestions concernant ton projet d'immersion. Je suis assez d'accord avec les québécois qui ont répondu jusqu'à maintenant par rapport au fait que Montréal n'est peut-être pas la meilleure place pour apprendre l'anglais. Certains quartiers sont majoritairement anglophone (l'ouest de la ville) mais encore une fois, tu y retrouveras plusieurs personnes qui parlent français. Au Québec, nous livrons une grande bataille afin que le français demeure la langue première. Ceci étant dit, Montréal est une ville superbe, avec un mélange de cultures incroyable et encore très conviviale malgré une augmentation de la population.
J'ai vécu en banlieue de Toronto pendant une année pour y apprendre l'anglais. Si telle est ta destination, tu apprendras cette langue rapidement parce que les francophones se font plutôt rares et les anglophones se débrouillent très peu en français. Peut-être que cette mentalité a changé avec le temps(ça remonte quand même à 10 ans) mais bon, ça m'avait plutôt surprise à l'époque. Par contre, cette ville est très différente de Montréal premièrement par le coût de la vie. Les appartements sont dispendieux. A mon avis, c'est une plus grande ville, plus développée, plus métropolitaine et par le fait même, peut-être un peu moins conviviale. Mais malgré tout, j'avais beaucoup apprécié cette immersion. Il y a de très belles choses à voir à l'extérieur de la ville, une philosophie très différente mais tout aussi intéressante.
Je ne suis jamais allée dans les grandes villes de l'ouest du pays mais d'après quelques amis, ça vaut le coup!
Les démarches pour l'obtention d'un visa sont plutôt ardues. Tu n'auras pas trop d'une année pour te préparer...

La façon la plus facile de venir travailler à Montréal est sûrement par le biais d'un stage avec l'Office franco-québécois pour la jeunesse. Ce n'est pas une façon de s'enrichir (ils fournissent une allocation de subsistance), mais c'est un moyen de découvrir le Québec. Après, il y a toujours possibilité de faire une demande de résidence permanente pour pouvoir s'y installer et y travailler.
Tout comme Nikky, je ne voie pas comment on peut apprendre l'anglais a Montréal.
Si tu veux apprendre l'anglais, vas a Toronto un an, comme fille au pair.

Actuellement entrepreneur dans l'immobilier, transport, je cherche un(e) associé(e) / partenaires/ fondation pour un projet dans l'agriculture donc je suis propriétaire de 10 hectares de terrain.
Les hectares étant inexploités durant des années faute des moyens financiers car le projet nécessite un apport je dirait considérable , acteur principal que je suis je dispose d'un apport minimal.
Je crois qu'il est temps de donner vie à cette espace pour des besoins nesseciteux afin qu'il soit dans un intérêt commun à la société.
Le projet est simple :
1) Cultiver du maïs+usine de transformation en farine
2) Un mini super marché+une boulangerie moderne en utilisant la farine pour pâtisserie etc...
3) Construire un service de santé
4) Construire une école maternelle et primaire
5) Construire des logements gratuits pour expatriés à la retraite en échange de leurs participations gratuite dans leurs domaines respectives.
Ceci étant un projet dont j'y crois , j'invite toutes personnes intéressées à apporter une touche personnelle, sous la forme d'un conseil, une orientation et enfin une implication.
NB: projet à l'échelle nationale et internationale au niveau de l'emplois.
