Quelqu'un peut-il me dire s'il y a un une épicerie (pas un dépanneur!) à proximité de l'hôtel où on peut acheter des trucs au prix que paient les dominicains? Je sais qu'il y a un supermarché à l'autre bout de la ville, mais je cherche à savoir s'il y en a un plus près, à pieds. Merci rb
C'est a 4.5 km alors je dirais que c'est un bon 60 min. de la Plaza. Mais sur la rue principale, les guaguas passent très souvent et pour 30 pesos, tu montes dans le guagua et dis au chauffeur ou à celui qui prends l'argent que tu veux José Luis Supermercado et il s'arrêtera devant. Tu payes en sortant.
Directions à partir le la Plaza Playa Dorada, juste derrière le Gran Ventana.
A la Plaza, dirige toi vers la droite jusqu'à la route principale (10 min.). Traverse l'entrée de la Playa Dorada et tourne à droite en direction de Puerto Plata. Tu seras sur l'Avenue Circunvalation pour environ 40 min. et garde ta gauche pour aller sur Avenue Manolo Tavarez Justo. Passe à côté de la Farmacia Maranata et Brugal je pense et ce n'est pas loin.
Il y a de tout petits marchés dominicains avant d'arriver sur Avenue Manolo T. Justo mais il n'y a pas grand chose.
J'espère que tu n'auras pas de difficultés. Je pense que ça vaut vraiment la peine de prendre le guagua mais pas plus de 30 pesos par personne ou $1 US

Merci titelune, j'ai regardé la carte, ça donne une bonne idée de la distance. Enfin, ce n'est pas si loin quand on a rien d'autre à faire. Mais tu es encore assez loin du centre de Puerto Plata, alors c'est pour ça que le guagua est pratique si tu veux aller plus loin.
Il y a aussi 2 supermercados sur la route principale à Sosua. Si tu descends du guagua au Texaco, il y en a deux tout près.
Est tu la même titelune que sur VAR? Si oui tu as deviné qui je suis, ma photo est la même😉

En relisant le message que lapuce a remonté j'ai lu que tu cherchais du Barcelo Imperial. Je l'ai vu à l'aéroport pour environ $26. Il est peut être moins cher à l'épicerie Tropical ou à la Sirena. Ou il y a le Super Super aussi Sosua.
Il ne faut pas oublier le magasin de boisson à la PLAZA derrière le GV. Il est au 2e étage et les prix sont excellents, il y a plusieurs marques de boison, c'est comme un dépanneur à boisson.

Je cherche le Barcelo Imperial dans une boîte rectangulaire en carton aux couleurs brunes, blanches et noires. La dernière fois que nous sommes alés en RP, un ami nous a emmenés à Higuay et au supermarché, on l'a payé $13 -$14 dollars, alors que le même produit se vendait $60 aux puces comme à l'aéroport!!! Et au voyage précédent, on l'avait aussi payé près de 13.00 à La Romana! En ce qui concerne le Brugal, oui, il est au même prix un peu partout. merci de tes infos! rb

Personally, I always prepare an envelope with euro bills in different denominations before I leave (they exchange them easily on-site). Here’s my method:
🛏️ For housekeeping: I leave a bill on the pillow every morning since schedules rotate daily.
🍽️ For servers: I always sit at the same table. At the end of the trip, I give an envelope to each server who took care of us daily.
🎉 For entertainment: I set aside an envelope for the animator who put in the most effort and really touched me.
The package covers the hotel, but our tips help support the people who make our vacations magical. Don’t forget to budget for this in cash when you pack!

I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)

2. Adults-only
3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

Hi there, I’m a 43-year-old woman planning to travel solo in early March. I’m not really into "commercial resorts," but if I find a place that fits my criteria, I might be interested. To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.

A ce jour elles n apparaissent plus sur mon compte Booking , j en ai informé par mail le service clients mais ce dernier ne repond pas ...donc impossible d annuler ces reservations....Quelqu un a t il connu ce probleme et l a t il resolu ???
