J'aimerais avoir vos commentaires sur cet hôtel. ( nourriture, divertissement, plage, personnel, ect..) Est-ce un bon choix pour personne seule dans la fin vingtaine. L'animation est-t-elle bonne et il y a t-il possibilité de danser (salsa, marengue, bachata ) dans des discothètiques à proximité avec les Dominicains. Est-ce sécuritaire pour une personne seule.
En effet, c'est un super choix. J'y suis allé en janvier 2009 et j'ai adoré cet endroit: bouffe de très bonne qualité et diversifiée, bon service, animation juste comme il le faut (GO super sympas et juste assez présents..ils sont aussi, pour la majorité, vraiment cutes!!)😉.
En fait, j'ai tellement aimé que je pense y retourner pour deux semaines à la fin de janvier ou au début de février 2010. 🙂
Tu vas voir, l'hôtel est à 5 minutes d'un petit centre d'achat et d'un club de nuit qui s'appelle le Coco Bongo (endroit vraiment cool!!). C'est super agréable de sortir prendre une marche dans le quadrilataire hôtelier. Il y a aussi un marché aux puces à environ 30 minutes à pied. L'animation à l'hôtel est également très bien. Les Dominicains dansent comme des dieux, alors tu n'auras pas de difficulté à pratiquer tes pas de danses!!😉
Pour ce qui est de la plage, personnellement, elle a fait mon bonheur: pas trop de vagues, chaude (même le 10 janvier!!). Elle n'est pas aussi claire et limpide que la mer à Cuba, mais c'est loin d'être dramatique. Tu peux aussi marcher longtemps sur le bord de la plage et c'est vraiment très beau.
Je ne sais pas avec quelle compagnie tu as fait ta réservation..Moi, c'était avec Air Transat et j'ai bien apprécié la classe <> puisqu'elle m'a permis d'avoir accès à tous les restos à la carte. Si c'est ton cas, je te suggère de faire tes réservations dès ta première journée, car ça se remplis vite!!

Personnelement, j'ai adoré l'hotel. C'étais la premiere fois que je partais toute seule. Je ne me suis pas ennuyer mais le seul point négatif lorsque tu est seule ses au resto a la carte seule tu trouve le temps long. Les chambre sont très grande surtout la salle de bain.La nouriture est excellente et inquite toi pas les dominicains sont tous très gentil. Il y a 3 ou 4 bar ou tu pourrais t'y rendre au plaza ces sur le plus connu est coco bongo.

Arrivé à l'hotel en plienne nuit assez dure mais j'ai tout mis sur la fatigue mais je ne suis pas sur personne pour nous indiqué quoi que ce soit il faut suivre le troupe et c'est tout. je m'attendais que le gens parle anglais, mon anglais est assez bon mais je peux dire que jai pratiqué mon language des signes plus que autre chose certain son gentil et ce force a nous comprend mais d'autre ce foutre de nous carrément ( Québecois)
donc nous avons attendu presque 2h pour avoir nos clé de chambre qui nous a été offert par une fille qui parle presque pas l'anglais donc encore une fois le language des signe était de mise
vers 7h du matin nous nous somme rendu a notre chambre nous reposer
la chambre était assez ordinaire et je peux dire qu'elle était pas vraiment à ce qu'on sattendait. Notre porte patio ne ce fermait assez mal notre sale de bain était un placard, notre figo ne fontionnait pas une lumière sur deux décidait de fonctionné. Nos autre amis de voyage leur porte patio était presque arraché.
une chambre très mal positionné puisque nous avions le placard des femmes de chambre juste à côté on les entendais parler et faire du bruit de 6h à 12h la premiere fois je pensais que ma compagne de chambre était en train de sacager la salle de bain et non ce n'était pas elle puisqu'elle était couché et qu'elle pensais que sétait moi qui sacagais la salle de bain.
Nous avons été mal indiqué pour presque tout dans ce voyage en gros nous avons réservé les restaurant à la carte trop tard et nous avons pas pu tous les essayé
Nous n'avons même pas profité du 1/4 des services offert part l'hotel puisque nous ne les connaissions pas et quand on posait des question personne nous répondait
Je peux dire que j'ai mangé au gros max 3 repas complèt de tout le voyage je ne suis pas une personne difficile sur la nourriture mais la je peux dire que mon rêve était de manger du Mcdonald moi qui n'en mange jamais, c'est surprenant
Durant ce voyage je me suis fait volé des vestements dans ma chambre et au restaurant de l'hotel, mes compagnon aussi ce sont fait volé des choses. Nos chose changeais de place dans notre chambre et même on les retrouvais trempé
le départ a été difficile puisque encore une fois les personne au comptoir de l'acceuil ne comprennent pas grands chose et certaine était assez bête avec nous.

Mais on sest du fun pareil mais pas grace à lanimation ou a l'hotel s'était plus grace a nous et au personne quon a rencontré

I wanted to share a great discovery in the Marakele area because, in the end, this park doesn’t get talked about much compared to Kruger, even though it’s really worth the detour.
We discovered Cypiro Leopard Lodge, right next to Marakele National Park in the Waterberg. It’s a small property with just a few villas and suites, so it’s nothing like the big, crowded lodges. What we loved most was the feeling of being truly at the end of the world—lots of space, silence, and almost no one around.
And yet, it’s only about 3 hours from Johannesburg. Once you leave Joburg, the road is pretty straightforward, and you quickly find yourself in a much wilder Africa.
Marakele National Park was a huge surprise for us. There are plenty of animals, the Big Five are present, but best of all, very few people. At times, we drove for quite a while without seeing another car. It’s such a change from parks where you sometimes end up with 15 cars around one animal.
The landscapes are also stunning, with the Waterberg mountains, plains, and beautiful views from some of the trails.
We also learned on-site that Marakele is known for its very large Cape vulture colony—around 800 breeding pairs. When you climb into the mountains and see them soaring above, it’s pretty impressive.
The entire Waterberg region is actually a UNESCO-recognized biosphere reserve, and you quickly understand why once you’re there.
As for Cypiro, it’s a lodge that was recently taken over by French owners—really nice and approachable. The place is quite exclusive since there are very few accommodations. The villas and suites each have their own private pool, a wood-fired hot bath (like a KolKol), a braai, and an outdoor fireplace.
Evenings are especially lovely, especially with the peace and quiet all around.
Another thing we found really convenient: you can organize your stay however you like.
You can come self-catering and cook for yourself. There’s a supermarket in the nearby small town, practically on the way in, so you can do your shopping before arriving without making a big detour.
Or you can ask them to organize everything with breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Their chef, Ernest, cooks really well, and it lets you completely unwind for a few days.
We liked being able to alternate: some quiet meals on our own and others prepared for us.
That’s actually one of the things we appreciated here—it’s not an ultra-formal lodge where everything is scheduled at fixed times. You can head out early to Marakele, come back for lunch, enjoy the pool, go back out in the late afternoon, then have a braai or a relaxed dinner in the evening.
In terms of price, we also found the value for money really good for this level of accommodation and especially for the very private feel of the place. Sometimes it feels like you’re in a much more expensive lodge.
If you’re looking for lots of activity and dozens of people around you, this probably isn’t the right spot.
But for peace, wildlife, nature, wide-open spaces, and that feeling of being a little alone in the world, we absolutely loved it.

And if anyone knows Marakele or the Waterberg well, I’d love to hear about other spots to discover in the area.
While digging through the archives 🔍, we discovered a 19th-century journal 📜 bearing the name: "Le Petit Baigneur, weekly journal of beaches, spa towns, and thermal resorts in the South of France", published as early as 1886. Its motto? "All for the baths and by the baths" 🏖️ — what a program!
We found the name so amusing that we chose it to rename our hotel: Hôtel Le Petit Baigneur!
140 years later, we’re carrying on this seaside tradition of the South of France in our own way 🏊♂️ — with a few fewer crinolines, but just as much love for the seaside. 😊

I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. 3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.
