quelqu'un peut-il me renseigner sur l'hôtel océan arc decameron beach situé à juan dolio, je désire partir en janvier, je suis allée à punta cana l'an dernier et à boca chica en 2000. Mais cet hotel me tente mais comme les revues ne disent pas toujours tout . j'aimerais bien avoir l'opinion personnel de quelqu'un qui y est allé ou du mois qui en à entendue parlé...
Nous avons fait cet hôtel il y a déjà quelques années, il était catalogué à l'époque 4 étoiles et il était très bien (chambres un peu petite mais le reste rattrapait ce petit "hic") la piscine était immense, la plage très bien encore sauvage, les buffets très bons, possibilité de manger à la plage avec bars spaghetti, barbecue, pizza, jus de fruits frais devant toi, mais il paraît qu'il a baissé d'une catégorie donc il faut peut-être se méfier à l'heure actuelle

Nous avons passé un sejour fantastique.!!!L'hotel est suberbe; situé dans un parc magnifique et très bien entretenu.
Les chambres sont spacieuses et propres.Seul petit point noir:LA PLOMBERIE!!!Mais c'est partout pareil en RD (même dans les 5 *)....et franchement ce n'est pas très grave de prendre une douche froide ou se laver avec un filet d'eau.La beauté des paysages et la gentillesse des Dominicains nous font vite oublier ces petits désagréments..
Franchement je trouve les touristes bien difficiles!!Cet hotel est splendide!Le personnel toujours souriant et si vous demandez les choses gentiment et laissez quelques pesos le matin sur l'oreiller vous aurez une chambre propre en rentrant le soir...
Petit conseil si vous voulez que vos serviettes soient changées tous les jours laissez les par terre 😉..
La plage est magnifique et nettoyée chaque jour, et même si la mer n'est pas toujours transparente et qu'il y a un peu d'algues, l'eau y est quand même à 30°et çà vaut 1000 fois la côte d'azur...Si vous voulez du sable blanc et une mer turquoise faites un tour à l'ile Saona, mais attendez vous à un max de touristes....Alors que sur la plage de l'hôtel vous ne serez jamais plus de 30 personne à la fois et il y a des transats pour tout le monde!!!Même que vous pouvez les mettre dans l'eau et vous laissez bercer par les vaguelettes en vous faisant bronzer et en dégustant noix de coco ou ananas découpés pour vous par les vendeurs ambullants....un vrai regal!!!!
Les piscines de l'hôtel sont splendides et très propres et vous pourrez y sirotez autant de coktails que vous voudrez!!!

Malheureusement, point de vue temps pour la semaine du 04/09/2004 il annonce limite ouragan... donc notre choix va plutot se porter sur l'egypte à l'hotel king tut d'hurghada... d'ailleurs si des personnes connaissent un peu l'endroit et les choses qu'il y a a faire.. merci d'avance !!!

L'année derniere au mois d'aout je suis allée a Hurgada au royal azur avec le tour operator starter un hotel magnifique et d'une propreté vu nul part ailleurs.
Nous avons adoré l'égypte differente de la république dominicaine bien sur mais j'y retournerai . Surtout mais surtout n'oublie pas ton masque et tuba et si tu es en famille prévois en un pour tout le monde
Nous aimons bien longer la plage et en se baladant a 20, 30 mn de notre hotel nous avons decouvert une superbe plage devant un hotel italien personne en plein mois d'aout une découverte extraordinaire une fois dans l'eau, indescriptible une merveille, un aquarium de toutes les couleurs, les formes et les sortes de poissons nous etions la tous les apres midi les yeux ecarquillés on avait envie de faire découvrir a d'autres touristes de notre hotel avec qui nous avions sympatise . de trois nous étions une petite bande les plus courageux allaient a pied quand tu avais trop chaud une petite trempette et au moins ca nous bougeaient les autres prenaient un petit bateau pour presque rien . Il y a deux personnes qui ne savaient pas nager et ce n'etais pas un probleme de l'eau aux genoux c'était pareil. Mon mari a pu voir une pieuvre a
6 metre de la plage nous n'avions plus envie de sortir de l'eau j'ai ete tres décu de ne pas retrouver cela cette année en rd mais l'agence de voyage m'avait prevu plus beau que la mer rouge !
Devant la plage de notre hotel l'eau etait plus mouvementé et on ne voyait pas grand chose et puis en longeant la plage tu ne vois pas le temps passé .
Ensuite nous sommes allée au Caire 16 h aller retour en 24 heures(guide égyptien parlant couramment le francais) je ne voulais pas manquer de voire les pyramides et le musée nous y sommes allés avec l'hotel mais j'aimerai y retourner en ayant plusieurs jours devans nous car un peu frustrés il y a temps de chose a voir c'est extraordinaire et le musée trop court nous etions tres fatigués mais je n'ai pas regrette ensuite nous sommes allés voir la vallée des rois 4h aller retour a voir absolument.
Un pays ou 15 jours ne suffit pas . Mais il faut absolument y aller tu ne regretteras pas .Le désert recouvre 97% de la superficie du pays quand nous survolions l'Egypte a l'arrivé nous avons halluciner du désert rien que du désert
Vraiment c'est a voir ne regrette pas ton choix je t'envie de partir la bas j'aimerai tant y retourner mais il y a d'autres pays a visiter je suis une passionnée de voyage et si mes moyens me le permettaient je ne ferais que ca . a+.
Par contre la conduite c'est terrible je n'ai jamais eu aussi peur de ma vie et je n'étais pas la seul j'ai m^me fait stopper le bus et exiger de rouler moins vite le guide etait choque mais m'a ecoute les autres m'on remercié nous n'avions pas envie de revenir les pieds devant je vais dire que c'est le seul point noir de cette destination.
En fait nous somme sur le point de partir a hurghada. J'attends juste une réponde de l'agence de voyage quant à la formule all inclusive si justement elle inclue bien tous les repas pris aux différents restos de l'hotel king tut. Si oui c'est le bonheur et j'ai hate d'y etre !!!
Si le voyage se fait je te dirai si les poissons ont grandi depuis la derniere fois !😉

I wanted to share a great discovery in the Marakele area because, in the end, this park doesn’t get talked about much compared to Kruger, even though it’s really worth the detour.
We discovered Cypiro Leopard Lodge, right next to Marakele National Park in the Waterberg. It’s a small property with just a few villas and suites, so it’s nothing like the big, crowded lodges. What we loved most was the feeling of being truly at the end of the world—lots of space, silence, and almost no one around.
And yet, it’s only about 3 hours from Johannesburg. Once you leave Joburg, the road is pretty straightforward, and you quickly find yourself in a much wilder Africa.
Marakele National Park was a huge surprise for us. There are plenty of animals, the Big Five are present, but best of all, very few people. At times, we drove for quite a while without seeing another car. It’s such a change from parks where you sometimes end up with 15 cars around one animal.
The landscapes are also stunning, with the Waterberg mountains, plains, and beautiful views from some of the trails.
We also learned on-site that Marakele is known for its very large Cape vulture colony—around 800 breeding pairs. When you climb into the mountains and see them soaring above, it’s pretty impressive.
The entire Waterberg region is actually a UNESCO-recognized biosphere reserve, and you quickly understand why once you’re there.
As for Cypiro, it’s a lodge that was recently taken over by French owners—really nice and approachable. The place is quite exclusive since there are very few accommodations. The villas and suites each have their own private pool, a wood-fired hot bath (like a KolKol), a braai, and an outdoor fireplace.
Evenings are especially lovely, especially with the peace and quiet all around.
Another thing we found really convenient: you can organize your stay however you like.
You can come self-catering and cook for yourself. There’s a supermarket in the nearby small town, practically on the way in, so you can do your shopping before arriving without making a big detour.
Or you can ask them to organize everything with breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Their chef, Ernest, cooks really well, and it lets you completely unwind for a few days.
We liked being able to alternate: some quiet meals on our own and others prepared for us.
That’s actually one of the things we appreciated here—it’s not an ultra-formal lodge where everything is scheduled at fixed times. You can head out early to Marakele, come back for lunch, enjoy the pool, go back out in the late afternoon, then have a braai or a relaxed dinner in the evening.
In terms of price, we also found the value for money really good for this level of accommodation and especially for the very private feel of the place. Sometimes it feels like you’re in a much more expensive lodge.
If you’re looking for lots of activity and dozens of people around you, this probably isn’t the right spot.
But for peace, wildlife, nature, wide-open spaces, and that feeling of being a little alone in the world, we absolutely loved it.

And if anyone knows Marakele or the Waterberg well, I’d love to hear about other spots to discover in the area.
While digging through the archives 🔍, we discovered a 19th-century journal 📜 bearing the name: "Le Petit Baigneur, weekly journal of beaches, spa towns, and thermal resorts in the South of France", published as early as 1886. Its motto? "All for the baths and by the baths" 🏖️ — what a program!
We found the name so amusing that we chose it to rename our hotel: Hôtel Le Petit Baigneur!
140 years later, we’re carrying on this seaside tradition of the South of France in our own way 🏊♂️ — with a few fewer crinolines, but just as much love for the seaside. 😊

I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.
