je suis nouvelle sur le forum mais j'ai lu avec beaucoup d'intérêt certaines discussions concernant la république dominicaine. mon conjoint et moi prévoyons de partir en voyage(à peu près au mois d'août) avec nos 2 garçons qui auront 4½ans et 1 ans et 4 mois au moment du départ. nous étudions la possibilité d'aller en république mais avant de faire notre choix on a beaucoup de question, histoire d'avoir une idée exacte de comment ça se passe là-bas avec des enfants de l'âge des nôtres. j'aimerais savoir si vous avez des hôtels(peut importe le nombre d'étoiles) à me suggérer qui sont TRÈS propres(pas de bibittes svp!!!🤪) où la nourriture est bonne et santé si c'est possible. est-ce qu'on trouve de tout dans les restaurants comme des bons fruits et légumes, de la viande un peu comme on en mange ici, du pain et du lait??? et pour l'eau???? je voudrais savoir aussi quels conseils vous pouvez me donner avant de partir pour bien nous préparer(vaccins pour les 4??? et la malaria??? comment on protège du mieux possible nos enfants contre la tourista???) les règles d'hygiène là-bas ne sont pas les mêmes qu'ici je sais mais au quotidien ça a l'air de quoi???? si on paye notre forfait ici avant de partir et qu'on amène juste de l'argent américain est-ce que c'est suffisant??? et c'est mieux en liquide ou avec la carte de crédit????
je sais que j'ai posé beaucoup de questions mais c'est la première fois de notre vie que nous partons pour un aussi gros voyage alors on espère être le mieux préparer possible surtout avec nos deux ti-mousses!!!!😉 si vous avez d'autres conseils à nous donner auquel on aurait pas pensé, nous sommes preneurs!!!😏

Nous (famille 2 adultes et 2 enfants de 5 ans 1/2 et 10 ans 1/2) rentrons à l'instant de République Dominicaine, le séjour fut FABULEUX : On était au Coral Canoa à Bayahibe. Très propre, buffets variés et excellents. Animations géniales y compris pour les enfants : Audrey, guadeloupéenne d'origine s'occupe avec beaucoup d'attention de nos chers petits.
On n'a pas rencontrés de moustiques mais on est en saison sèche, en août ce sera peut être différent. Avec tout ce que j'avais lu, on était quand même sous nivaquine (qu'on doit continuer pendant 1 mois). Pour les enfants, il y a une formule sirop, pour les adultes, ce sont des comprimés : pas d'effet secondaire ressenti (pourtant je suis allergique à pas mal de choses).
Concernant la tourista, il faut évidemment ne pas boire l'eau du robinet. On a tous eu de la diarrhée 1 jour mais avec du smecta, on se remet assez vite : on avait peut être abusés sur les fruits et légumes car le buffet est très allechant avec des fruits et jus de fruits frais sans parler des milk shakes préparés devant vous. Bref, c'était génial. Dur, dur la reprise.
La plage est très belle : sable fin, mer transparente et turquoise, quelques pierres plates mais pas vraiment gênantes.
Pour l'argent, on avait des dollars et on a eu la surprise de voir que tous préférait les euros (actuellement plus fort que la monnaie américaine). En plus on peut changer facilement à partir de l'hôtel les euros contre la monnaie locale.
Voilà, si tu as besoin d'autres infos, n'hésite pas
Avec de jeunes enfant je n'irais pas a Puerto Plata car beaucoup de monde sont malades. J'ai été 3 fois a Punta Cana et c'est fantastique. Je vais toujours dans les chaines hotelières RIU. La nourriture est fantastique, la plage très belle. Il ne faut pas boire l'eau du robinet, elle n'est pas potable. Mais il y a toujours dans la chambre de l'eau en bouteille meme pour se brosser les dents. Pour ce qui est de la tourista naturellement il ne faut pas trop consommer de fruits frais et de la salade. Meme si je n'ai jamais été malade car il lave tout avec de l'eau embouteillée. Il y a sur les sites des miniclubs pour les enfants, parc et garderie. Si tu as d'autres questions n'hésites pas.
je te remecie beaucoup d'avoir pris le temps de me répondre, tes renseignements sont très très appréciés. j'aimerais te demander autre chose si tu le permets : je voulais savoir si il y a une pharmacie pas loin de l'hôtel où tu étais où on pourrait trouver des couches, des serviettes humides etc.. des articles pour bébé en somme. et je voulais savoir aussi si l'hôtel est fonctionnel pour des enfants de l'âge de mon plus jeune, je veux dire des tables à langer pour changer mon bébé de couche, des chaises-haute dans les restaurants etc... et la plage où tu étais est-ce qu'il y avait des oursins, est-ce que c'était propre ou plein d'algues, est-ce qu'il nettoie la plage un peu???? je te remercie encore!!! ceriloup😛

Je reviens de l'océan bavaro à Punta cana avec mes 2enfants de 2ans et demi et 5ans et c'était fabuleux.Nous nous sommes fait vacciner contre l'hepatite A simplement par sureté et avons pris de la nivaquine, peu de moustiques, mais je me suis fait piquer à 2-3 endroits, pas les enfants, mais bon on a preferé se prémunir.
En ce moment je cherche une destination un peu moins lointaine pour cet été, mais franchement j'aurais du mal à trouver aussi bien, tu verras c'est magnifique.
Je n'ai pas vu de pharmacie (mais on n'a pas cherché), par contre il y a un centre médical à l'intérieur de l'hôtel près de la plage.
La plage est nettoyée plusieurs fois par jour. Il n'y a pas d'oursins ni algues. Je n'ai pas vu de chaises hautes ni la possibilité d'acheter des couches.
La ou j'étais il n'y a pas d'oursins. Les algues vraiment pas beaucoup surtout devant les rius, le bavaro princess et le bahia principe. La plage est nettoyé. Pour les tables a langer je ne sais pas mais il y a des chaises hautes et beaucoup de palmiers sur le bord de la mer pour avoir de l'ombre pour tes enfants.
Je n'ai pas de jeunes enfants alors tes autres questions je ne peux pas te répondre.

Hey, I’d like to know which hotel in the south doesn’t force you to wake up at 4 AM just to reserve a shady chair, whether it’s at the beach or the pool.
I wanted to share a great discovery in the Marakele area because, in the end, this park doesn’t get talked about much compared to Kruger, even though it’s really worth the detour.
We discovered Cypiro Leopard Lodge, right next to Marakele National Park in the Waterberg. It’s a small property with just a few villas and suites, so it’s nothing like the big, crowded lodges. What we loved most was the feeling of being truly at the end of the world—lots of space, silence, and almost no one around.
And yet, it’s only about 3 hours from Johannesburg. Once you leave Joburg, the road is pretty straightforward, and you quickly find yourself in a much wilder Africa.
Marakele National Park was a huge surprise for us. There are plenty of animals, the Big Five are present, but best of all, very few people. At times, we drove for quite a while without seeing another car. It’s such a change from parks where you sometimes end up with 15 cars around one animal.
The landscapes are also stunning, with the Waterberg mountains, plains, and beautiful views from some of the trails.
We also learned on-site that Marakele is known for its very large Cape vulture colony—around 800 breeding pairs. When you climb into the mountains and see them soaring above, it’s pretty impressive.
The entire Waterberg region is actually a UNESCO-recognized biosphere reserve, and you quickly understand why once you’re there.
As for Cypiro, it’s a lodge that was recently taken over by French owners—really nice and approachable. The place is quite exclusive since there are very few accommodations. The villas and suites each have their own private pool, a wood-fired hot bath (like a KolKol), a braai, and an outdoor fireplace.
Evenings are especially lovely, especially with the peace and quiet all around.
Another thing we found really convenient: you can organize your stay however you like.
You can come self-catering and cook for yourself. There’s a supermarket in the nearby small town, practically on the way in, so you can do your shopping before arriving without making a big detour.
Or you can ask them to organize everything with breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Their chef, Ernest, cooks really well, and it lets you completely unwind for a few days.
We liked being able to alternate: some quiet meals on our own and others prepared for us.
That’s actually one of the things we appreciated here—it’s not an ultra-formal lodge where everything is scheduled at fixed times. You can head out early to Marakele, come back for lunch, enjoy the pool, go back out in the late afternoon, then have a braai or a relaxed dinner in the evening.
In terms of price, we also found the value for money really good for this level of accommodation and especially for the very private feel of the place. Sometimes it feels like you’re in a much more expensive lodge.
If you’re looking for lots of activity and dozens of people around you, this probably isn’t the right spot.
But for peace, wildlife, nature, wide-open spaces, and that feeling of being a little alone in the world, we absolutely loved it.

And if anyone knows Marakele or the Waterberg well, I’d love to hear about other spots to discover in the area.
While digging through the archives 🔍, we discovered a 19th-century journal 📜 bearing the name: "Le Petit Baigneur, weekly journal of beaches, spa towns, and thermal resorts in the South of France", published as early as 1886. Its motto? "All for the baths and by the baths" 🏖️ — what a program!
We found the name so amusing that we chose it to rename our hotel: Hôtel Le Petit Baigneur!
140 years later, we’re carrying on this seaside tradition of the South of France in our own way 🏊♂️ — with a few fewer crinolines, but just as much love for the seaside. 😊

I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.

A ce jour elles n apparaissent plus sur mon compte Booking , j en ai informé par mail le service clients mais ce dernier ne repond pas ...donc impossible d annuler ces reservations....Quelqu un a t il connu ce probleme et l a t il resolu ???
