Nous sommes en train de regarder des hôtels pour un voyage à Punta Cana au mois de janvie 2009 et notre choix s'arrête, à date, sur l'hôtel Gran Bahia Principe. J'ai entendu dire qu'il y avait beaucoup de vendeurs achalents sur les plages de Punta Cana. Je voudrais savoir si c'est seulement devant certains hôtels ou si c'est pas mal généralisé. Est-ce que si nous choisissons le Gran Bahia Principe, nous allons être harcelés par ces vendeurs??
Oui, il y en a partout ma chère. Mais il ne te harcele pas, ils viennent plusieurs fois par jour et montrent ce qu'ils ont à vendre, c'est leur boulot. Moi, j'y suis habitué, tu leur dis non et ils passent leur chemin. Tu peux leur dire plusieurs fois par jour mais ca prend juste 2 secondes. Ils aiment aussi discuter avec toi, souvent ils veulent juste parler et prendre un p'tit brake car marcher sur la plage toute la journée avec cette chaleur n'est pas si facile même pour eux.
Il s'agit de le savoir avant de partir et tu verras, tu t'habitue très bien. Je suis allé en République au moins 15 fois et ce n'est pas pour cette raison que je cesserai d'y aller. Les Dominicains sont très gentils et attachants.
Note: Il y a aussi des vendeurs de timesharing !!! tu les reconnais assez vite, ils t'interpelle en disant good morning French, English, etc... tu leur dis aussi non merci et tu continue ton chemin.
Bon voyage, le Gran Bahia Principe est un hotel super et tu aimeras, ca c'est certain. Et que dire de la plage !!! wow, tu peux marcher des heures avec une palmeraie tout le long de la plage partout à Punta Cana.
Je suis allée au Gran Bahia deux semaines en février dernier. Sur la plage il n'y a généralement pas de vendeurs sauf le dimanche où ils ont la permission d'installer leurs kiosques durant la journée. Je ne dis pas qu'il n'y en a jamais mais honnêtement après avoir connu certaines plages à Puerto Vallarta, là c'est assez tranquille au sujet des vendeurs. Je ne crois pas que vous allez etre deranger.
Au Majestic, l'hôtel suivant, il y a des gardiens postés aux extrémités de la plage qui empêchent les vendeurs de venir achaler les touristes de l'hôtel. C'est d'ailleurs un des seuls hôtels, à ma connaissance en tout cas, où il est impossible de pénétrer sur le site si vous n'avez pas le bracelet de l'hôtel. Des amis ont visité tous les hôtels mais cela n'a pas été possible pour le Majestic.
Il y a un soir dans la semaine, le dimanche je crois, où il y a des exposants locaux directement sur le site de l'hôtel.

Oui il en a, mais ont une identification à parter sur leur chandail ...
donc autorisé ... il t'achale une fois et c'est tout ...
ce n'est pas un problème, crois moi ...

J'y suis aller en janvier dernier et oui il y en a mais ce n'est vraiment pas fatigant (Comparativement a Boca Chica). Tu vas voir, il y a tellement de monde sur cette plage qu'il est possible qu'aucun d'eux ne viennent te voir.

à bayahibé les vendeurs de ce type sont cantonnés aux plages publiques, il y en a une de cinquante métres de long tous les trois hotels.
ces vendeurs ne peuvent accéder à la plage des touristes et sont refoulés immédiatement par l'agent de sécurité qui garde l'extrémité de la plage.
seul les touristes peuvent circuler de plage en plage.

Personally, I always prepare an envelope with euro bills in different denominations before I leave (they exchange them easily on-site). Here’s my method:
🛏️ For housekeeping: I leave a bill on the pillow every morning since schedules rotate daily.
🍽️ For servers: I always sit at the same table. At the end of the trip, I give an envelope to each server who took care of us daily.
🎉 For entertainment: I set aside an envelope for the animator who put in the most effort and really touched me.

I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)

2. Adults-only
3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.

A ce jour elles n apparaissent plus sur mon compte Booking , j en ai informé par mail le service clients mais ce dernier ne repond pas ...donc impossible d annuler ces reservations....Quelqu un a t il connu ce probleme et l a t il resolu ???
