Nous avons passé une semaine fin avril 2013 à cet hôtel récent (ouvert en octobre 2012). Nous étions en formule AI, en chambre standard. L'hôtel se situe à proximité du village de La Palmar (qques kms).
Chambre : spacieuse, avec lit KS, coin salon avec canapé, table basse et 1 fauteuil, grande penderie dans le couloir avec cintres, TV payante (100 roupies / semaine ~3€). Coffre-fort gratuit, et assez grand.SdB : baignoire, WC séparé à l'entrée de la chambre, 2 vasques et 1 très grande douche.
Il y a un balcon avec 1 table et 2 fauteuils. Les serviettes et tapis de bain sont changés tous les jours, il y a du gel douche et du shampoing, 2 peignoirs, 2 paires de chaussons siglés au nom de l'hôtel.
Restauration : c'est bien, très typé indien (assez épicé), produit tels que marlin, thon, viande de boeuf, poulet ..., les desserts sont moins bon, mais il y a des fruits (surtout sous forme de salade). Le matin, il y a des viennoiseries qui sont bonnes (pain aux raisins, croissant, pain au chocolat ...).
Le matin et le soir, il y a un buffet. Pour le midi, le repas est servi à table à proximité de la plage et de la piscine. La carte n'est pas très étoffée, surtout en AI, et les prix sont assez chers (pizza jambon fromage : 550 roupies ~13.50€). Mieux vaut prévoir un budget en conséquence pour les boissons et la restauration si vous n'êtes pas en AI.
Bars : il y en a un à la piscine (où les serveurs viennent prendre les commandes que vous soyez à la plage ou à la psicine) et un à côté du buffet (pour petit déj et diner). Il y a de tout (local et international et des cocktails), c'est assez cher, et il y a souvent peu d'alcool dans les préparations. L'ensemble du personnel, est efficace, présent mais pas trop, souriant.
Plage : elle est propre, avec serviettes de plage et bain de soleil (en nombre suffisant). Attention, nous avons évité de justesse quelques oursins !
Animation : il y a un animateur, mais il n'a absolument rien fait pendant la semaine, à part une ou deux parties de beach-volley.
Réception : le personnel est souriant, et efficace. Nous avons réussi à garder notre chambre jusqu'au départ prévu à 18h00, alors que le check-out se fait à 11h30.
Nous avons passé un agréable séjour. La plage est un peu ventée.
Cependant, l'hôtel ne semble pas opérationnel à 100%, il y a des boutiques qui sont fermées, et le dimanche il n'y avait plus de jambon, de banane, de gâteau apéritif, de mojito... Cela laisse une drôle d'impression.
Nous souhaitons partir en voyage de noces à l'île Maurice et recherchons un hôtel.
Nous avions vu l'hôtel Ambre qui a de très bonnes critiques et semble proposer des prestations de qualité.
Puis j'ai découvert sur le net l'hôtel Crystals Beach Resort & Spa. Cet hôtel n'est vraiment pas cher pour un 4* sup : 2 884 € pour deux en all in sur promo séjours.
Cela effraye un peu du coup. Les avis sont mitigés sur les forums. Beaucoup disent que l'hôtel est en "rodage".
Avez vous ressenti cela ?
De plus, par quel TO êtes vous passé ? Car je ne vois rien d'autre que promo séjours.
Nous avons eu le séjour par Voyages Privés (le TO était monagence.com). Il me semble que vous pouvez le trouver chez Promovacances (?).
En effet, on a cette impression de "rodage", cependant, le service est correct, et l'établissement est de qualité.
Il y a en effet des "activités" qui semblent être non fonctionnelles (par exemple : il doit y avoir une boutique de vêtements dans l'hotel, mais il n'y a que des cartons dans cette vitrine !).
Au niveau des activités nautiques, nous n'avons jamais vu le bateau à fond de verre sortir.
Mais, l' hôtel est très beau, les chambres sont très bien et grande (~50m² pour la base), la plage est belle, et le personnel est très agréable. Il y a 2 ordinateurs à disposition (gratuit) pour accéder à ses mails, et il y a du Wifi gratuit au bar.
Il y a peut être (surement) mieux comme hôtel sur Maurice, mais celui-ci étant récent, nous avons également eu la chance d'avoir un hôtel calme (malgré la présence d'italiens, qui sont habituellement assez bruyant !). Nous avons séjourné à l'Indian Resort, il y a qques années, et j'ai préféré le Crystals Beach.

🛏️ For housekeeping: I leave a bill on the pillow every morning since schedules rotate daily.
🍽️ For servers: I always sit at the same table. At the end of the trip, I give an envelope to each server who took care of us daily.

I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.
