Nous ne connaissons pas l'Inde et sa vie (plus particulièremement à New Dehli). Nous avons le projet de nous expatrier en famille, mais je voudrai avoir des informations sur les sujets suivants:
1-Vie de famille: Comment est l'éducation? Le coûts des crèches, garderies? Est il facile de trouver une garderie?
2- Travail : Est il facile de trouver un emploi? Quel est le rythme de travail en Inde? Nombre de jour de travail/semaine? Y a-t'il des vacances? Quels sont les entreprises et les domaines qui recrutent? Combien de temps pour trouver une travail? Est ce que cela passe par le relationnelle ?
3-Logement : Combien faut-il compter pour vivre à quatre, nourriture et loyer compris? (Nous ne sommes pas difficile niveau confort)
4- Est-il "facile" de s'intégrer à la vie Indienne?
5- Comment ça se passe pour une femme pour trouver un emploi? Comment est-elle perçue?
Un conseil, avant de tenter quoi que soit, venez faire un tour en Inde, et testez le terrain, car sans contrat expat, ce n'est pas gagné pour des étranger, en famille, de se transporter en Inde, surtout sans aucune connaissance du pays.
Je vous conseille de vous renseigner par internet sur le site de Delhi accueil qui est très bien (http://www.delhi-accueil.com/).
La communauté française de Delhi est grande (3000 personnes au moins).
Quelques infos que je connais:
1) Education: Le lycée français de Toronto (c'est l'école des expatriés français, il y en a partout dans le monde).
2) Je ne saurais quoi vous dire, la plupart des expatriés français arrivent avec un emploi sur place déjà prévu.
3) Les prix grimpent vite à Delhi quand on veut louer un logement décent. Les prix dépendent des quartiers et de la qualité du logement. Je pense qu'il faut bien compter 15000 roupies pour un logement correct. Les expatriés ont tendance a vivre dans les mêmes coins (Défence colony, Lajpqt Nagar...).
En ce qui concerne le confort, attention, je n'étais pas difficile aussi et après avoir habité à Delhi dans des quartiers "bons marché", j'ai changé d'avis ... Quand on nait et grandit dans le confort à l'occidentale, il est difficile de se mettre aux standards indiens.
4) Cela dépend de vos activités. Les expatriés en général ont tendance à rester entre eux (malheureusement et que je condamne, mais c'est compréhensible). Notre mode de vie, nos pensées, nos opinions sont tellement différents de la plupart des indiens qu'il est parfois difficile de s'intégrer à leur communauté.
5) les femmes "blanches" n'ont pas toujours la vie facile en Inde. Je suppose qu'il y a déjà de nombreux messages à ce sujet. Mais encore une fois, la vie en mode "bulle" est malheureusement - ou heureusement, selon les opinions de chacuns - possible et facile à Delhi (expl: chauffeurs privés, quartiers expat etc..).

Je suis d'accord avec Milou, venez faire un tour en Inde avant de prendre une telle decision ! C'est de la folie de partir ainsi sans connaitre le pays! Et en plus Delhi ! Avec l'Inde, ca passe ou ca casse, il y a pas de juste milieu... et y passer quelques semaines de vacances et y vivre sont deux choses differentes ! Vous avez peu de chance de trouver sur place un tavail, des amis d'amis francais en ont fait les frais, comme vous, ils sont partis avec leurs enfants sur un coup de tete.... ils en sont revenus! Le gouvernement indien ne facilite aucunement l'entree et l'installation des etrangers sur son sol, a moins d'avoir une reelle valeur pour le pays.
Cherchez plutot un travail depuis votre pays et faites vous expatriez en Inde, mais je vous deconseille de venir les mains dans les poches. Vous seriez une seule personne, je vous dirai oui, personnellement je travaille a Varanasi et de maniere illegale, mais je suis en couple avec indien et donc "protegee" par la communaute. Si on me pose des questions, rien est a moi. Il y a toujours moyen pour vous de creer votre propre business en partenariat avec un indien, mais ca ne se fait pas du jour au lendemain... et ca comporte toujours une part de risques.
D'accord egalement avec Lylle, les prix sont eleves a Delhi, et vivre a la mode occidentale a un cout! 15000 inr pour un logement pour une famille me semble un peu juste a mon gout.... je compare avec Varanasi qui est une ville cheap. Vivre a l'indienne avec le minimum de confort c'est dur au quotidien, j'en parle en connaissance de cause! Je ne sais pas quel est l'age de vos enfants, mais seront-il pret a un tel changement ?
La soeur d'un ami vit a Delhi, si vous souhaitez avoir une idee plus juste des prix, faites le moi savoir. Elle a un certain niveau de vie qui correspondrait aux criteres occidentaux.

Si vous souhaitez donner une éducation occidentale à vos enfants, c'est à dire avec des diplomes qui leur permettront de choisir là où il vont faire leur vie, il faut tenir compte du fait que le Lycée Français de Delhi ou l'Ecole Américaine, sont hors de prix pour des non-expats, déjà pour eux, c'est très cher.
Voilà qui change tout ! Si votre mari a une offre d'emploi, c'est à lui de bien négocier son contrat : expat ou local, prise en charge du logement (ou en partie), assurance santé, école des enfants, etc...
Sachez que pour un logement décent, sans être luxueux, dans un quartier vivable et proche des écoles (attention, à Delhi la circulation est dantesque et on passe facilement des heures pour aller de A à B) il vous faudra débourser au minimum 50000 rps par mois. De plus, les propriétaires exigent au minimum 1 an de loyer d'avance pour les étrangers, donc nécessité de prise en charge par la société qui emploie. Il est très difficile (non autorisé) pour une épouse de trouver du travail rémunéré, mais un tas d'associations seront heureuses d'accueillir des bénévoles.
Je vous conseille d'aller sur le site Delhi Accueil, asso francophone d'expats, très active, et pleine de bons conseils.
L'intégration n'est pas difficile, mais c'est le choc culturel qui est le plus à redouter. Cela demande une grande ouverture d'esprit et beaucoup de patience...
Ce serait bien pour vous ou votre mari, de faire un voyage de reconnaissance, car c'est un grand saut pour vous.

My name is Deborah, I’m French. I’m married and have two children. I’m a clinical psychologist specializing in psychotraumatology, and I’m also pursuing medical studies.
