nous souhaiterions mon mari et moi nous installer au maroc avec nos 3 enfants. Mon mari est d'origine marocaine et nous envisagerions d' y ouvrir une maison d'hôtes ou un commerce. Nous nous posions la question de savoir si c'est mieux d'aller à Fès ou Marrakech (principale destination des touristes mais justement p-être le secteur est il saturé?) et Fès nous ne connaissons pas du tout la ville, nous n'y sommes jamais allés mais cette ville est 1 tout petit peu plus proche de la ville ou habite 1 partie de la famille de mon mari. Que nous conseilleriez-vous?
Le secteur des maisons d'hôtes est saturé à Marrakech, aucune idée à Fès.
Quant à ouvrir un commerce, de quel genre ? Un de plus ?
Je regrette que les gens qui veulent s'installer au Maroc n'aient que cette idée en tête, alors qu'il y a sûrement tant d'autres activités à créer. Lesquelles, me direz-vous ? Certes, c'est en vivant sur place et en observant autour de vous les manques que vous pourrez affiner votre projet de vie.
N'avez-vous pas une compétence particulière apte à concurrencer le secteur marocain ? Si votre domaine d'activité en Belgique est propice à créer votre emploi au Maroc, c'est peut-être là que se trouve l'idée ? Oeuvrez dans ce que vous savez déjà faire.
Je vous conseille de parcourir des sites créés par des expatriés français au Maroc qui pourront vous apprendre les opportunités ou les écueils à éviter, etc ... Je pense notamment à caryl.fr ou à casawaves.com que je parcours depuis 2 ans déjà que je vis au maroc.
Je ne saurai que te conseiller si ce n'est que Marrakech regorge de maisons d'hôte et le tourisme cette année a bien diminué. De nombreux Riads n'ont pas été compets, alors peut-etre que le déclin de Marrakech est en marche...dans ce cas mieux vaut cibler une autre ville.

il est dommage que les VFistes qui étaient enthousiastes il y a 2 ou 3 ans , et qui refusaient le moindre conseil objectif, ne se trouvent pas ici pour raconter leur expérience.... et pourtant , il y a quelques belles descentes aux enfers, et quelques belles fortunes envolées ....
La maison d'hotes ne s'improvise pas , c'est un vrai métier , et sur place 26h/24 !!

Il faut aussi cibler les villes ou vous pouvez scolariser vos enfants, s'ils sont déjà avancés, le problème de la langue arabe peut s'averer un reel handicap:risque d'hypothequer leur avenir.
Les villes cotières ont aussi leurs atouts si compétences il y a.
bon vent en tous cas!et méditez les conseils on ne peut plus sages des intervenants.
Même si vous êtes aigle ne vous fâchez pas avec le sol(demeurer humble et modeste)dicton Berbère.
merci pour vos réponses, j'attendais plutôt des témoignages de gens qui ont franchi le cap et se sont installés là bas. Évidemment, ceux qui se sont plantés et sont rentrés en Europe ne viennent pas spécialement raconter leurs déboires sur le forum.
et c vrai que la plupart qui s'installent là bas pensent directement à la maison d'hôte comme source de revenus. mais, à moins d'être engagé à coup sûr quelque part, on ne voit pas trop ce qui pourrait marcher au Maroc. quand à mettre en avant nos compétences, mon mari est employé ds un grand magasin, que pourrait-il faire de ça au Maroc, à part un commerce je vois pas trop?

Pr l'école, mes enfants sont encore petits (l'ainé a 4 ans) donc je pense que pr l'apprentissage de la langue, ça ne devrait pas poser trop de prob.

Malgré les avis divers je dirais qu'il existe encore des possibilités au maroc, malheureusement ensuite c'est une question d'homme qui crée un projet et non du pays. Les maisons d'hôtes c'est l'idée de tous les français depuis plus de 30 ans, mais l'époque n'est plus celle des années 80. Maintenant le prix d'un bien augmente le risque, alors qu'hier cela s'est transformé en bénéfice assuré.
Avez-vous un budget déja pour cela ? Ensuite attention, la galère de la réalité sur place à fait perdre pas mal d'argent à beaucoup qui sont repartis, car la gestion du temps n'est pas possible ici selon le projet....
donnez déja plus d'éléments pour que l'on puisse vous répondre avec plus de précisions.
J'ai conseillé d'autres personnes sur ce type de projet, il y a des éléments trés importants et variables selon l'endroit, la ville, l'administration que les arrivant ne peuvent connaître, la est le problème.
Maintenant le Maroc à des gros besoins de compétences dans divers domaines, il faut savoir que la qualité et le service manque, attention aussi vers qu'elle clientèle commerciale visée, locale ou étrangère, quelles attentes aussi personnelles financières, locale ou un revenu européen ?

Idem pour moi , je connais bien Fes , cela n'a rien a voir avec Marakech , mais comme justement cette ville se sature elle meme Fes a encore de beaux jours devant elle , mais prend le pas sur Marakech , tout comme Meknes
J'aime Fes , car au moins on bute beaucoup moins sur des touristes!!!
J'ai voulu vérifier par moi même "l'ambiance" de Marrakech, étant pensionné au minimum et trés nostalgique du continent africain où j'ai travaillé longtemps... et trés peu dans le tourisme... (séjour en novembre 2009)
Je n'ai pu tenir plus d'une semaine au milieu des touristes... 😠 cela me rappelle trop la situation en 2000/2001 sur la petite côte sénégalaise ! Marrakech risque fort de devenir identique... mais cela n'est que mon impression... des billets d'avion pas chers qui apportent des touristes en masse et perturbent l'économie locale, la culture, et je dirais même la crédibilité des européens dans certains cas... comme dab, certains me font honte... mais ils ne sont pas sur ce forum, quoique...
Parfois, je me dis que si j'étais de l'autre côté de la barrière, j'essaierais de les arnaquer aussi ces voyageurs aux bobs publicitaires avec le sac assorti...😏

I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
The hectares have remained unused for years due to a lack of financial means, since the project requires what I’d call a considerable investment. As the main stakeholder, I have a minimal contribution to offer.
I believe it’s time to bring this space to life to meet pressing needs and serve the common good of society.
The project is simple:
1) Grow maize + build a processing plant to produce flour
2) Open a mini supermarket + a modern bakery using the flour for pastries, etc.
